  1. I would also like to know all of your pet's names, ages, diseases, and potty schedule.....if that's not already on FaceBook.....
  2. I need another project. Just called and emailed to see if still avail.
  3. Hmmm, strange.....has the backs off, you can see the wall behind each.....Not a CWII motorboard that I've ever seen....
  4. Wow, for sure. Self obsessed to the max.....
  5. Thanks for the suggestion. Added Mariachi to my Pandora shuffle....
  6. Hot dogs only for the kiddies...Us big kids are doing slow smoked pulled pork and whole chickens. Weather looks to be good, low 80's, so we're anticipating a good turnout.
  7. Ever tried to lift one of these babies? It's a requirement! Just getting them in my Explorer (and out again) from Michael's place was a feat of superhuman strength!!
  8. I'm way behind you, but catching up fast....anything within 500 miles of me is very tempting....
  9. Well, actually, the more interesting genre to come out of the LSI's this weekend is a request that I had for some Mexican music....so I went to Pandora and found quite a few "sub-genres" of Mexican music, none of which I am familiar with, but, whatever.....I'll probably be standing there, listening to a track and one of my neighbors will be yapping to me, and at the end of the selection, I'll turn and say "Excuse me, could you say that again?".....
  10. First, don't think that deleting the icon is going to remove the annoying popup..... Second, USB "thumb" drives are so cheap nowadays, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to back up all of your "important" files to one or a couple of these. Unless you have terabytes of music....but all of your docs, photos, etc.
  11. The only thing that bugs me is that both of the klipsch logos on the fronts are off center. Any bright ideas about how to make a stencil or have one made to fix this? Ahhh, my 500th post....where does the time go?....
  12. Yep, it took quite a while to remove all of those pieces, like I said, thank goodness for my nice Ryobi cordless drill. When I took them off, I made sure that I knew where each came from, which speaker, which side, etc. There was some glue under most all of them, but it had lost it's strength years ago, and most of the pieces came off easily. No problems with scarring the fiberglass at all. Because I didn't remove any of the corner pieces, everything fell right back into place, all of the screw holes lined up, no issues at all. Maybe I was lucky....Thanks again Michael. Hope to see you again soon. Jim
  13. Yessirree, they came from the legend himself....they sound great, even with a SS Yamaha receiver (which actually isn't all that bad...) Michael had done a great job on them before passing them on to me, and all I had to do was the trim. I think they look great, and I'm sure the neighbors are going to be "impressed".....
  14. I already have done a small informal poll, and this being Indiana, of course there is some interest in Country....which I'm not a fan of, but that's ok. I'm putting together a Pandora mix of a bunch of stuff that should satisfy most.
  15. Bought these from a friend a few months ago, and just hadn't gotten around to doing anything with them. Well, we're having a street party this weekend, and thought I would brighten them up a bit. The wood cabinets themselves had already been painted, so didn't need to do anything with those except dust off.... Took off all of the anodized aluminum trim, (which were pretty beat up), and coated them with 3 coats of Rustoleum Professional Zinc Galvanizing Compound. The color was fairly close to the original anodized color. Then placed 5 applications of a Poly/Acrylic top coat, and let them dry for 2 days. I left all of the stainless steel corner pieces in place, even though there are quite a few scratches, but I liked the "two-tone" look of the original. I think they came out pretty well. Oh yea, and 14 gazillion screws.....thank goodness for my cordless drill....
  16. As we just moved in late last winter, we thought that having a neighborhood party in the cul-de-sac in front of our house would be a good chance to meet all of our neighbors from up and down the block. Lots of very nice people, and lots of kids expected. I'm going to be doing some goodies on the smoker. Should be fun! Guess who's doing the music?

    What I Got Today!

Looks like a Grundig Mandello http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/grundig_mandello_cst.html
  18. if this is the first thing you see, please scroll up to the actual poll. Thanks. I'm going to leave this up for about 2 weeks so that those that don't frequent the forums as often as the rest of us lunatics have a chance to see it and vote. Thanks for the responses so far. What's sort of interesting is that as of Aug 14, there have been 442 views of the poll, but only 77 votes taken or, 17%, meaning that those who didn't cast a vote really didn't care, so the "Don't Care" tally should be quite a bit higher....hmmmmm.... Aug 20. One more week remains, and so far over 850 views of the topic, but only 124 votes. Aug 24. Last day. Very few remaining voters it appears. However........... BUMP!!
  19. It sure is a love/hate thing with Craigslist isn't it? more hate though....
  20. OK, so I guess there's no response to my query? This is a technical issue, not a content issue.
  21. I've had a lot of suggestions to take a nice hi-res photo, take them to a trophy/awards shop, and have them reproduced. Shouldn't be too expensive....
  22. Wow, ship a pair of Belle's....Would love to see the boxes, transport method and cost on those!
