No one has a opinion on there worth ? ---------------- Craig, I bought the woofer, along with several others, from a service dept. that went out of business. I've sent you a pm to explain the details and shipping cost. I also have an SW-12II subwoofer that I might be willing to trade for your Chorus speakers. Any interest? Just let me know. Thanks, Rick.
  2. I have a new K-48-K woofer for the Chorus to sell for $118, plus shipping from 45680. A new one from Klipsch is $236, plus shipping.

  4. There is a pair of Khorns on Ebay for $1750. They are in Catlettsburg, Ky., which is just a few miles away from me, and I'd be willing to check them out for a forum member that's VERY serious about buying. Just let me know. Here's the address: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3088946255&category=50597

Neither are a perfect match for my Chorus and/or Fortes, but I liked the KLF-C7 better and decided to sell the Academy from $250. Many will disagree, but I thought you should hear from at least one person that's not crazy about the Academy.

I have seen several times where folks charged 10 bucks for shipping and the stamp fee was 6.40, 3.60 for handling as long as I got it fast was okay. ---------------- Mandi, Please realize that some sellers charge a fixed amount for shipping to ANY address in the continental USA. The buyer could be just down the street, or they could be thousands of miles away. While there are a lot of Ebay sellers with obviously inflated shipping charges, most sellers probably make a dollar here and lose a dollar there, on fixed shipping charges. That's how it's been for me, anyway.
  7. I also have one K-1018S woofer for the KG-1.5 and IW-50 speakers. It works great and comes in the original box, but there is a tiny hole in the rubber surround. $10 plus actual shipping. Trades would be considered on all items.

Were you the "winning bidder"?
  9. I think you've just answered your own question. Try a tube. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
  10. I have the following items for sale. Sony CDP-C525 5-disc CD changer - SOLD. It has volume on the remote and a variable output, so you can run this straight to an amp and still control volume from your listening position. Barely used. It works like new and doesn't have a scratch on it. The remote control, transport screw and original owner's manual are included. Teac R-425 Auto Reverse Cassette Deck - $25. Again, barely used. Works great and looks new. Original owner's manual included. Nakamichi BX-300 casstette deck - SOLD. This deck looks new, but it needs the idler wheel repaired. This is a very common problem with certain Nakamichi decks and can be easily fixed. The original owner's manual, the "cassette deck test results" booklet, and a nice piece of BX-300 sales literature are included. I'm new here, but I've been selling A/V equipment for over twenty years. I've sold a lot on Ebay (as rckpls), and have over 1000 straight positive feedback comments. We will ship to US and Canada, from the 45680 zip code. The buyer pays actual shipping cost. Items will be safely packed and double boxed for delivery. Shipping should cost between $10 and $20 for any single item, to any US address. You can send e-mail to rckpls@yahoo.com, send a PM , or call 614-264-4112 to ask questions. Thanks, Rick.

Did that deal fall through?

  14. Didn't you just buy the Forte's? Were they blown when you got them or what? Just wondering....
  15. Dave, I've bought the kits from Bob Crites. He's fair and easy to deal with. I ordered a pair around 3pm and they were shipped the same day....that's pretty cool.
  16. Kuisis, I happen to like the B&O tables and feel one would be a nice addition to your system. The RX-2 radial tracking and TX-2 tangential (linear) tracking models are easy to find and affordable. I used to sell for a B&O dealer when these were current models and they were the easiest sale in the store. We would smack them, rap them with your knuckles, or raise and slam the lid shut while playing a record, without any skipping or problems of any kind. People were not used to seeing that. Most of the tables they'd seen used before would rumble at the slightest touch, or skip if someone walked across the room. I recommend checking Ebay, Audiogon and the B&O forum for a good deal. Look for a reputable seller that either has the original box/packing, or really knows how to safely pack things for shipping. Try to find one with one of the better cartridges, or be prepared to pay retail for a new replacement. Good luck and let us know if you try one.
  17. Bhatti, Most repairs on any Klipsch speaker would only involve replacing parts. You could always order them directly from Klipsch or have a forum member help get what you need. I'm sure there are several of us that would be willing to help, if needed. Anyway, good luck and keep an eye out for Osama.....you could buy a lot of Klipsch with that reward!!!
  18. They're are too far from me, but maybe someone here is close enough. The guy is Topeka, Kansas and is asking $600 for the pair. I don't think it's cool to put his phone number here, but I'll send it through PM if anyone needs it.
  19. I saw an ad for a Cornwall, described as type C-MR-15. Does anyone know which finish this indicates?
  20. Someone just explained that the KLF-10 does not have bi-amp inputs, so these must be from something else. Maybe the CF-3 or CF-4.....any ideas?
  21. "That Baby Ain't Black Enough" by Poonanny.......loud.
  22. I have a pair of input/crossovers for a 2-way Klipsch speaker system. These have never been used, and were most likely designed for the KLF-10 speakers. These have inputs for high and low frequencies and outs for two woofers and one tweeter. I'll offer them for $30 each (one might be good for a DIY center channel) or the pair for $50. Buyer pays actual shipping cost. Paypal, checks and money orders accepted. Call Rick @ 614-264-4112 if there are any questions.
