  1. You have your facts wrong. When that person said the President was a Muslim after having studied the issue I said he was either ignorant or an idiot. You are the one that keeps linking to zerohedge, and they are askew. We have had this conversation before. You claim it just happens to be source you came across and then when I point it out, you jump to another source. You obviously like or follow their agenda, what's yours?
  2. It's your source you keep making reference to."Zero Hedge is a batshit insane Austrian school finance blog run by two pseudonymous founders who post articles under the name "Tyler Durden," "The site posts nearly indecipherable analyses of multiple seemingly unrelated subjects to point towards a consistent theme of economic collapse any day now. Tyler seems to repeat The Economic Collapse Blog's idea of posting blog articles many times a day and encouraging people to post it as far and wide as humanly possible. Tyler moves away from the format of long lists to write insanely dense volumes[3] filled with (often contradicting) jargon that makes one wonder if the writers even know what the words actually mean.[4] The site first appeared in early 2009, meaning that (given Tyler's habit of taking a shit on each and every positive data point), anyone listening to him from the beginning missed the entire 2009-2014 rally in the equities market." When you start with a slanted, fallicious premise from a "bat shit crazy" blog you are bound to be be off track from the beginning.
  3. Your either ignorant or an idiot. Nothing personal.Whatever efforts you have made to study the issue have been made in vain. You might what to consider a reliable source for facts rather than email blasts or whatever else you are using to "study". Yep, I checked. Neither and idiot or ignorant. You can disagree with me, it is after all a free, or sort of free country that we live in. You can look up everything I posted online and fact check them if you like. Of course nobody inside is going to tell you the facts if it undermines those in power. Mark my words, in a few years after Obama leaves office he will boast of being a Muslim and how he helped to change the world and bring people together. Yes, he is that arrogant. Just like his mentor in the WH. She is an Iranian born woman that has felt the plight of Muslims her entire life. Do you really believe that the president is unaware of the challenges that ISIS/ISIL present to us in the west? He has downplayed all of their actions at every chance. He lies every time he opens his mouth. Once again, if you disagree with me, it's okay as I am not offended. You can believe whatever you like. I do not hate Muslims for what they believe, in fact they are steadfast in their beliefs, as wrong as they might seem. Very few Christians or others of faith stand true to their beliefs like the Muslims do. Well we know where you go to keep up on your reading. I think one SNOPES article is more than sufficient to address unsupported statements without any references. Had there been a reference I might have had to find something specific, Maybe his ID card at Columbia with his former name on it.
  4. You are a fringe theorist. You say you studied, not me. You say you are dealing in facts. You throw a blanket statement out there that President Obama is Muslim, because you have studied it. Now you are saying you read up on topics. I agree, it is good to be well informed, however, you are only as well informed as your source material. I don't know what your source material is, but you are uttering stuff put out by fringe theorists. It has been throughly debunked by credible journalists. He isn't Muslim. I linked just one example, from SNOPES, I didn't quote for the one sentence aboutnthe pledge of alligence, I linked that site because the section that debunks the Muslim myth is written at a pretty basic level, with sources from before he was first elected president. Nothing has changed, he still isn't Muslim. I think somewhere you suggested that he changed his name to an Islamic name. Those were the other crazy emails that made the rounds about 5 years ago. Those have all been debunked as well. Same site, and numerous mainstream media articles are available on that. But I am happy to read anything you have on the subject, as I sincerely believe it is important to be well informed. Even his first opponent, when a lady asked a question in a town hall about Obama being Islamic he corrected her very quickly. It has nothing to do with you personally, I don't know a thing about you personally. I can say this, if anyone, not just you, posts fringe, unsubstantiated, debunked, or otherwise groindless statements in this forum, it will affect their credibility. You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. There are many skeptics on here to challange you on that. You posted it for shock value to see what kind of reaction it would get, I think the reaction is what you would expect from a bunch of well read individuals such as yourself.
  5. Thank you. It was reported that the shooter didn't have any problem walking into a gun store and buying a high-capacity magazine. That's one thing I'd like to see controlled. It's being reported that the suspect was on the FBI radar and had been interviewed by them a couple of times. He still bought his weapons legally - which require an FBI background check. I'm convinced that our government is incompetent to the point that it doesn't matter what laws are passed regarding buying a gun or a high-capacity magazine and that It's nothing more than a false sense of security implemented by the three stooges. Nothing will result from this but a further loss of freedoms. Until the next act of terrorism committed by someone or some people that could have been prevented by a competent entity. Does Israel, surrounded by enemies, have such issues? No. And then, when it does happen again here, more calls for the loss of more freedoms will be the answer from a completely incompetent government. And many will agree. Sad. Isreal has pervasive and strict gun control. One of the requirements to obtain a license is to undergo and pass a physical and mental examination. They also have universal health coverage which includes mental health treatment. Does Isreal have issues with terrorist attacks? Since mid-September last year during this latest Intifada they have suffered over 500 casualties, 35 dead. The Palestinians have incurred about 5 times that amount. Terrorism is so ingrained over there it is just part of life in some areas. Maybe that has changed since I went, and my friends from there came over in the 70s to 80s, all say the same thing. It was part of life growing up for them.

Keep studying. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp
  7. I think you are overstating that data. I think the Other-Type of Gun Not Stated catagory is too large a number to draw that inference. The FBI statistics, which rely on reporting from local and state jurisdictions are limited in that regard. There is also significant under-reporting. There is specific data on "mass" killings and shootings in the US. I'm pretty sure hammer or blunt force object isn't going to be listed. Just a wild guess would tell me that most are going to involve a semi-auto rifle, with either "high capacity" or multiple magazines. "Killers usually pick soft targets." I think killers always pick soft targets, but having a gun within your reach doesn't transform you out of the soft target catagory either.

  9. One of the best looking set of speakers I have ever seen.
  10. Qualified on what? She is the foremost expert on chimpanzees. The formost expert on gorillas is that Dian whatshername that wrot Gorilla's in the mist. Both would admit that a human should never interact with a chim0 or gorilla unless they know what they are doing, and they have socialized among them. Jane has gotten burned several times trying to testify in court that she could tell what a primate was thinking or feeling. Fellow scientists shredded her.
  11. I stand corrected Travis. After reading your post I did some reading and I obviously had a faulty memory as I thought he had left the country. I don't know who I was thinking of. This I can do take exception to (and I have read some of the political / social / trends of the times regarding the case) [Edit: to refresh the memories] as I have my own take on what it means to pay for the benefits received.Mike I can understand your viewpoint on that, I was just trying to clarify the frequent confusion between draft "avoidance" and "dodging." So what do you think about someone in that same era that got five deferments until too old because "serving wasn't a priority in my life at the time." My view is that is should be mandatory, no exceptions, two years of service. Men and women, and ""other". If you are a legitimate CO you can do job corp or Peace Corp, or other alternative service for 3 years. Senator's son, too bad, they are in, friend of Ben Barnes, too bad, you are in. You serve your two years and are done, or if you are really good at what you do, they make you an offer and you are free to decide what you want to do.
  12. I stand corrected Travis. After reading your post I did some reading and I obviously had a faulty memory as I thought he had left the country. I don't know who I was thinking of. This I can do take exception to (and I have read some of the political / social / trends of the times regarding the case) [Edit: to refresh the memories] as I have my own take on what it means to pay for the benefits received.Mike Bobby Fischer left the country. He was the greatest chess player ever. After he made his first come back they would stage those fights in foreign lands, Thrilla' in Manilla, Zaire, etc. He did leave boxing, but not on his own accord. Selective Service, which still exists, has lists of agencies where COs can perform alternative services. If you had money you could avoid the whole thing by getting deferments.
  13. CO's have been recognized, officially, by Congress. The hearing officer who originaly heard the case ruled that the Govt. should grant him CO status, the Justice Dept disagreed and tried to screw him over. If you look who was the AG at the time, and who appointed that AG, it explains a lot.
  14. Here is the case of anyone is interested: https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/403/698/case.html
  15. B.S.Edit: I vilify him because he was born an United States citizen and THAT requires that a male of legal age serve THEIR country as called upon. Once he made the decision that he did not want to honor that 'commitment' and left he should have had ZERO opportunity to make income in the country he choose to leave. I don't give a rat's behind what he changed his 'name' to in order to make religion an issue. He never left. Who do you have him confused with? He went to draft board, filed as a CO, they refused to grant him CO status. He took it to court, lost, appealed, lost again, and he took it to Supreme Court and won. You can't be more of an American and in the rule of law than that. He was perfectly willing to go to prison for what he believed in.
  16. It is clearly the gorilla's fault. Other kids have fallen in gorilla pits and the gorilla's "saved" the child This gorilla clearly had issues. Unless you abide by the "there are no bad gorillas, only bad gorilla owners" theory.
  17. except for the 2.5 hour drive back. I paid the $320 for 2 tickets + $68 service fee + $10 parking + $28 service fee and then got the silent treatment from the missus when she learned the price Don't forget the $30 to 50 t-shirts, posters, etc., etc. Cokes, cheese nachos, you both will consume there. I think the best investment you can make is to get so great Klipsch over the ear headphones to cancel all of that out.
  18. From State Vital Statistics site: Birth, death and marriage certificates also may be obtained at the Register of Deeds off-site link (ROD) office in the county where the event took place. In Mecklenburg County, birth and death certificates may be obtained at the local health department off-site link. (Please be aware that N.C. Vital Records is the only place to get a birth certificate for an adopted child.) Divorce certificates may be obtained from the clerk of court off-site link in the county where the divorce is filed.
  19. Marriage and death are public records. For a fee a clerk will pull up and give you information over the phone. Many have court records on line. So there will typically be two offices that will have divorce records. One is the State vital statistics office, they typically want it done by mail, like a birth certificate. The other is the court/clerk's office (as it is a legal proceeding) and those are all public records.
  20. I think he is focusing on the word "accidental". In the ME world an overdose is either "intentional", "accidental" or "undetermined". "Accidental" simply means is that in that ME's opinion suicide was ruled out. Depending on the ME, it could also mean that the ME determined that there was no delay in calling for emergency medical response when the person was found. In that context the use of the word "accident" is unrelated to whether or not the deceased intentionally ingested a particular substance or not. Michael Jackson, on the other hand, was ruled a homicide, because an third-person contributed, in some way, to the death. That the third-person intended to do to the deceased is not factored in, only that an "outside agency" was involved.
  21. Simple, send it in a Marie Osmond case, nobody wiuld touch that. Send package inserts in separate envelope
