  1. The rat shack meter actually does a pretty good job as long as you use the compensation table when you use it for bass.
  2. The RC-7 was the center channel Klipsch recommended go with the RF-5s...That along with the fact they were built in Hope, Arkansas with real wood veneer makes them the best value for a front soundstage of the speakers you mentioned, imo. I ran RF-5's with an RC-7 at one point in time. They blended perfectly.
  3. Like I said, mine is modest compared to some[]. My design goals when I built the IB were to have a sub that could keep up with my RF-7's at full song. It had to be low distortion and dig deep. I didn't need any more than that. I needed depth for movies and clarity for music. I also didn't want to have to run yet another dedicated circuit for a megawatt amp. I think I hit all my goals.

The amplifier sums the 2 signals from the Y cable and gives the amp double the signal than the mono cable. It does NOT increase the maximum output of the sub. Turning up the gain on the amp or increasing the signal from the receiver will do the same thing as using the Y connector. Monster or standard RCA's are fine. Your ears won't know the difference. Check out Monoprice.com for reasonably priced cables.
  5. It's all good Michael, I enjoy pulling your chain (at my expense!!).
  6. Been there, done that. and not a day goes by where i regret buying them from you. nor do i let opportunities such as these slip away without reminding you.. Isn't there an "ignore" button here somewhere?
  7. We as a forum demand pics as you go!
  8. I didn't see that as an option when I read the owners manual.
  9. As do I, but the fans are easily swapped out if necessary. If it has to be in the same room as you do, the fan swap is a cheap, easy fix.

I think he means a "Y" at the sub amps input. It won't increase the maximum output of your sub but it's possible that it will make your "auto on" feature work a little more effectively.
  11. The RC-7 of course. There's even one for sale in the Garage Sale section as we speak.
  12. He gets that at least once a day from me[Y]. Of course it looks like I've been playing in barbed wire from those sharp teeth. He never bears down, but plays with his mouth wide open. It's hard to avoid those sharp baby teeth, I've dremeled his claws a couple of times now, so they're not so bad.
  13. The vet I ended up with is a HUGE proponent of the RAW diet and has his personal dogs on it. He even gave me the contact info from the supplier he uses. I'm waiting to hear back from them now.
  14. "Nother one. You can click on the pic and make it bigger.
  15. He'll be like that untill he's feels confident that, anytime someone leaves, they'll actually be back. There's no telling what his prior life entailed. He'll grow to be a great, faithfull pet once he gets his bearings back.
  16. They know who the alpha dog is, who picks up who's poop ? My daughters[].
  17. I think you're over estimating again.
  18. Yes, RF-7's sound good with a good amp. They sound GREAT with a stout amp. I'm on my 3'rd version of amplification since I've had mine. 300 wpc of smooooth, chest thumping, pro-amp bliss. Give them some clean watts and they'll reward you. Cheap out on the amps and they'll bore holes in your ears.
