That's a VERY good idea. I developed a mild tinnitus from using a percussive electric typerwriter in a closed-in space, then suddenly one day had my vision go twisty and ended up with Menier's disease. That is a PERMANENT condition that leads to all kinds of bad things including eventual deafness, sometimes with loud tinnitus. In my case anyway. Those ear plugs only reduce the sound level somewhat. Max, I think I would avoid those concerts if you can, or use ear plugs at a minimum. Larry LARRY: I have Menieres disease in my left ear. Total loss of hearing...never to return. OLDBUCKSTER : Actually this Sunday morning I am NOT busy. (what a relief) I still have some session work to do in few hours, but until then I can just relax and take in this beautiful Houston, Texas morning.(clear BLUE sky's with a temperture of 58 degrees ) Ok,...what influenced me to start drumming? Some 39 years ago, my oldest brother ( 7 years my senior) was my room mate since I came from a huge family of 6 boys. (we have two sets of twins in the family, so me and my oldest brother were the only "singles"...thus, paired up as room mates) Obviously, there was a huge difference in age with him being 7 years my senior, I was then 8 and he was 15 years old. Anyway, he had a band (my brother played Bass Guitar) and I had always hung out at heir rehearsals in the garage. TO make a long story short, I ended up being influenced by HIS drummer , acting as "roadie" for him. My first true experience around drums; I was a roadie at the age of 8 ! But mainly my first impression and influencial LIVE performing drummer was ....when my parents took me to a Jazz concert when I was 10 years old to see the "worlds greatest drummer"-the infamous Buddy Rich. That was all it took....I WAS HOOKED ! I pickup up the drumsticks and never put them down. Talk about obsessive -compulsive. I was a freak when it came to drumming and music. So, my biggest musical drumming influences at that young age were Buddy Rich, John Bonham (Zepplin), and Don Brewer (Grand Funk Railroad); ... then later Ian Paice (Deep Purple) , Tommy Aldridge (Black Oak Arkansas), Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake and Palmer), and then the infamous Neil Peart (RUSH) ! Nick, the deal with the networks is that they will be required to use DIGITAL that is not the same as HD. They can still put out the same ol garbage they do today only the signal will be digital insted of analog. They will have more bandwidth to use and HD uses it all. With SD they can have 2 or 3 channels in the same bandwidth. Yes HD looks TONS better than SD.[] I believe the OFFICIAL digital-switching deadline has been moved back, ...to 2009 .

...oh, yes......comb filtering interference. If you have never heard this demonstrated, you will definitely notice it immediately ...after placing those tweeters and/or horns that close to each other !!

MeAgain: Crown are mainly used for ProAudio soundstage equipment. We don't use remotes in that field ! Yeah, but Craig, wouldn't you LOVE to be able to kill yer guitar player's ridiculous onstage volume from the comfort of your drum throne? I did have a remote for my F100 Fog machine- it was BAAAADD Michael I already am ! My onstage Monitors comprise of two Crown 2400's mixed into two JBL 18's and two JBL15's and a 2' JBL Tweeter !!!
