  1. Hi everyone! I'm looking at buying the Toshiba HD-A1, and I have found some places on the net that has really low prices, The first place is 6ave.com they want $367 for the unit, and the other place is abesofmaine.com and they want $384. Now are these places selling factory reconditioned items or what? And has anyone bought anything from either place? Thanks!
  2. I wonder how much the loading time has spead up on the new A-2's
  3. I like the transparent musiclink plus, They seem to do magic for my system[]
  4. I'll try that cascade kote from parts express, Thats what caught my eye in the first place. Thanks everyone for the info!
  5. I would like to get rid of the hollow plastic sound when I knock on the horn.
  6. Just curious, has anyone ever tried damening spray on the insides of horns??? Like the Cascade Dampening spray for automotive and speaker enclosures.
  7. I agree, I have used the toslink, & the digital coax as well, from my MVP831 to my MX132, and I did not find it as good compared to the analog sound. Just something missing! :-) The analog was more musical!
  8. That really sucks! I was thinking about getting the A2 for the $500 price tag. Now everyone will have to go out and get new recievers with the HDMI inputs. We can't win!
  9. We also need a big Klipsch home theater sign
  10. Beer glasses, low profile hat with a metal oval logo, I like the idea with the poster and the Klipsch speakers that have evolved over the years. LOL!
  11. I listen to music @ 115-125db at some times, but @ about 105db for most of the time.
  12. Hi all, Theres a pair of CF-2 version 1's on Ebay right now, out of Alsip, IL Kinda pricey if you ask me @ $450.
  13. Sounds like the driver with the bigger magnet is from another speaker, not an epic line driver. I would replace both drivers in that cabnet with the K-1029-KN. I would also look for a # on the back of the driver with the bigger magnet to see what speaker it came from. Thats pretty odd that someone would do that. The speaker box is built to the drivers specs. The CF-2's are a great speaker, my friend has a pair as well. Good Luck!
  14. Tuning, different port lenghts, and version 3 went to a lighter cone, like the Legends have. Hey Colterphoto1, you had some version 2 CF-3's there for awhile didn't you?
  15. Good luck! I really love my CF-4's!
  16. Yep, 342nd day of 1995 they were made. I would say version 3, Also I don't think that they did away with the neo magnets until the Epic series was done. I would jump on them if I were you! Great speakers!
  17. Its a Mac, built like a tank! Should be very easy to set-up from reading the manual. Enjoy!
  18. I agree with you NBM135, Stereo West had the better set-up for Klipsch, It was a shame to see them not carry Klipsch any more!
  19. Yea, not good at all. The dealer is Nebraska Furniture Mart, in Omaha, Nebraska. They are basicly a big electronics store here, They even have a dedicated BOSE room! What a joke! They should have the Klipsch in its own room instead! So now you all know what I'm going through here! HELP KLIPSCH!!!
  20. Went to NBFM today to check out the RF-83's, I was quite disappointed in the set-up they had going! They had them in a big room with all of the new Reference in line with each other. So the 83's were like 20-25' apart! Not even toed in right, but mainly toed out ward! I couldn't believe it! And when I wanted to hear the RW-12d, the so-called salesman didn't even know how to turn it on! I had to help him with it. I wish I could have gotten the right RF-83 presentation! Because I know they can sound a hell of alot better!LOL
  21. Well, do the cabinets have the same deminsions? if so it would most likely work. Thats great that you have the version 1 parts! You will love the sound! I lost the upgrade speaker bug after I got the CF-4's! What are you going to do with the version 2 componets? Good Luck! Keep us an update on your progress.
  22. Thats right, they are not Radio Shack cables, The name RS is for Richard Sachek, Who desighned the cables. Check out www.rscables.com for the whole deal. Sounds very interesting, They state that they are far better than the other silver cables out there. And they even give you a 15 day in home trial. I might give them a try.
