  1. He's supervised while he colors, and we keep the crayons in our possession when he's not coloring. He decided to draw on our TV one time. I totally freaked out, but she got it off with magic eraser............
  2. Well joshward10, which sub you getting?????
  3. Probably not. His "expensive" hobby is kayaking...........
  4. This morning one of my neighbors/buddies invited me to the movies. I told him it was bad timing as Rachel's out with my sister shopping it up, and I had the kids. I told him we could rent one, or watch one of my many movies, and he said, "ya, but that's not the same". I was like oh ya, you've never watched a movie over here before, have you? he said nope, but I have heard music, why?. So, to shorten this up, he came on in, and of course, I put in Dark Knight BD. I was doiing stuff around the house, etc. as he watched it, and I sort of peeked in while it played. After, I asked what he thought, and he said, "I would have never guessed you could have that kind of theater sound at home".............. I told him come on over any time he wants to watch something
  5. LOL. No, as long as it's not on our duty hours, we can utilize the tools/gear in the shop. So before work, on lunch or after work are all GTG!
  6. Well, this one took me for a loop. Last night I had an awesome listening session for about 3 hours. About half way through it, I decided to take off the grills to my speakers. She didn't reallly say anything about it except how can you just sit there, and listen to music for hours? This morning when I got up, I went to put all the grills back on, and she asked why I was putting them back. I said I figured you didn't like how it looked, etc. Then she says, "no, I actually like it better like that". Just keep them off. And............ so far so good with our 2.5 year old. I thought he'd be all over them with no grills, but he hasn't even tried to touch them or anything! Wish me luck!!! I'd hate to make him sleep in the garage.............[6]
  7. Has anyone done this, or know how to? It's a fraction of the price to do it yourself I'm sure, but I've never done anything like this. We have some pretty serious sewing machines at work, so I can use them if I need to. Any help/info is appreciated!
  8. I'm there man!!! I'll bring the Ice
  9. It's Friday night, I got some beer, and a new amp to play with...... all night! I'm even letting the kiddies stay up late so I don't have to keep it at low volumes. Can you say jam session???? I'm definitely in for a good Fri night!!! [Y]
  10. In the military, I'm forced to do things I don't necessarily agree with on a daily basis. Of course, not doing them isn't an option for me. Like already said, you work for them, so i would do as your'e told to do.............. although that does suck! Sort of like false advertisement!
  11. I'm truly sorry about your loss Stew! My thoughts and prayers go out to you
  12. That's what it came down to for me also. (F2 or F3) The only bennie I saw/heard in the 3's was a little bit more bass. Seeing as I have 2 subs, that wasn't a concern of mine. The F2's are IMHO, hands down the best bang for your buck out there. They sound absolutely awesome, and can take some serious punishment. I've had mine up to un listenable levels, and the sound was clear as day. Like Olorin said, the sound of the F2's sounds like music, as the F3's just sound like speakers with a tad more bass. As far as wattage goes, it won't take much to drive the F2's. Like I said earlier, you don't need a set up like mine to push them at all................ I simply came across a GREAT deal on the Rotel amp, and I jumped all over it................ And like already suggested, definitely get the Sub 12!!!
  13. Sony receiver??? Well, that's your problem right there! just kidding man...........
  14. Congrats on your new sub!!!
  15. Here's how mine is setup. The Poneer is essentially my processor. The BD player is plugged into it, and then preouts are ran into the Rotel Amp from the Pioneer. (Rotel's only an amp) The receiver powers the surrounds, and the Rotel powers the front 3. Do you need all this for a F2 system to sound great? Absolutely not. The yammy you mentioned will power them just fine!!! And like Olorin said, HK is a great choice also! He actually just bought my HK amp from me...........
  16. Your center speaker has suffered serious, non fixable damage, and needs to immediately be sent to me!!!![6] No, it's the dvd mix like already mentioned. I change my settings almost every movie I watch............. But my center is always about 3 db's lower than the mains
  17. I have my speakers all set to small. As far as the sub goes, I have the sub itself set to 80Hz, and the receiver x'd over at 80 Hz. As far as the dialouge goes, try turning the db's on the center up a little bit..........
