I was thinking about heat sink but I dont currently have one available. I just ordered a couple of 120MM AC infinity quiet fans usb plug in so when power up the pc to listen the fans will come on auto. I will try using my Variac set at 110 today and see if that cools down the Transformer any. Last amp I had that was running the transformers hot using the variac did not help at all (My line voltage runs a bit high at 124 VAC)

Its a Push Pull EL 84 amp built by Lance Cochrane. The amps Power Tranny is getting up to 160 degree, I put a small automotive portable fan in front of the amp and the temp came down to 110 which is great but the fan is WAY to loud. Oddly enough there is a Video on Youtube of a guy with another identical amp and he has fans blowing on his as well. I want to put the fan / fans directly behind the amp blowing thee heat into the open room

I need to have air circulate over an Amp. I am thinking SUPER quiet PC fans 12 Volt DC would be perfect anyone have experience ? Thanks Joe

I have a speaker its a 3 way speaker that comes with the idea that you use the included 2 way passive crossover for the dual concentric driver (mids and highs) and they expect you to use a bi-amp situation for powering the bass. I want to try and make it a full passive crossover so my question to those in the know is could I use something like this https://www.parts-express.com/eminence-pxb-250-low-pass-crossover-board-250-hz--290-612 and use jumpers off the speaker wire coming in to include this for low pass of 250HZ on the Bass. I would prefer to use a simple single inductor but have had no luck finding one that would cross me in the 200 HZ range (which is where I would prefer to low pass the bass) Thoughts anyone

That might be what schiit says now. When saga came out with S initially it had tube buffer or ss pasive options. thee newer + has a motorized Volume pot and no screws on top. same circuit as the original S................Schiit leaves a LOT to be desired on there web site when they make changes to gear the older info is done away with, which can lead to confusion. I had the exact same model Madman is trying to sell here, And I queried SCHIIT directly to clarify this info before selling mine approx 1 month ago. Madman I put mine on the bay and it sold first day for 275 BIN but there fees do bite you in the a$$

My amps were sold so This is the list of my spare tubes. the amp buyer passed (BIG Mistake IMHO) but to each his own...............Tubes are kind of like a savings account they continue to go up in value. To that end I should keep them.................But I am trying to pay down Christmas debt.............. 1 pair of Emission Labs, Solid Plates http://www.emissionlabs.com/datasheets/EML45.html, NEW they are 681.00. I am going to let these go for 300.00 they have approx 500 hours use which is low on these no issues with original box and packing 1 pair of Sophia Mesh Plate 45 https://sophiaelectric.com/products/pages-se-45 New 349.00. I am going to ask 150.00 for these Low Hours approx 300. they are working perfect but does have a piece of MiCA loose inside the tube, you can hear it move when you flip the tube over. It does not affect use in any way been that way since new have original box and packing (plain brown, not fancy like EML) 1 pair of Lafayette ST shape matched very strong pair, Bought them as NOS but my tester does not give me all the data you see some people give. It does however read up around 90 on the scale 110.00 for the pair 1 pair of RCA ST shape (printing on base is wore off) very strong same as the lafayette above 110.00 for the pair. Or if you were interested in all the tubes sell at reduced price of 600.00 delivered (that is less than the EML alone) All prices are plus shipping and fees unless you buy them all then I will eat the fees and shipping Joe
