  1. Not until someone posts something in it about guns, religion, or nekkid women-folk. Oops, looks like I just did.
  2. Weird week. I found out Monday that a 46-year-old first cousin of mine passed away...last Spring. No obit, no service, nada. Can't find a thing about him online. Communication is NOT that family's strong suit. I'm still kinda messed up about it. Been out of one of my BP meds for 2 days. Another communication breakdown, between doctor and online pharmacy. Thought I'd be saving money getting meds by mail (Aetna Home Delivery...the bastards), but it's the same price if I get them locally. So I just scored a 15-day emergency supply. What an immense waste of time. I. HATE. INSURANCE. COMPANIES. They can all rot away, afaic.
  3. C'mon, Dave! You know how to look up specs here, right? []
  4. They usually go for more than a billion dollars. Depending on the veneer, of course. Plus, maybe none have sold in the past two weeks (or however far back their search goes).
  5. Sometimes the simplest questions are the hardest to ask/answer...
  6. I zap records with positive and negative karma. Sometimes a little Instant Karma...
  7. Well, Dennie, you just can't fence in guys like us, right? We're like wild stallions...or wild scallions (I forget which).
  8. Ahem...Freedom is the only way, yeah.
  9. David, A Disc Doctor brush is a great thing to use in the cleaning process. I use micro fiber cloths as well, as a pad on which to scrub, and as drying cloths. It's important to rinse the record real well (I use R.O. water from the tap). If you can, acquire a set-up record, such as this one from HiFi News. It REALLY helps, and takes the mystery out of cartridge adjustments. You will hear the difference these adjustments make!
  10. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are comic geniuses. Ever see "Cannibal: The Musical?"
  11. ANY cable you use for this speaker, regardless of brand or price, is lamp cord.
  12. Kevin, I hear ya! This 1/2 of a discontinued S2 earbud (I gave the other half to Larry) sounds terriffic! I couldn't be happier! I'm wet with joy!
  13. Oh, and one final bit of instruction: Don't smoke when you're doing that! And wear some sort of breathing protection plus have a good supply of fresh, moving air. Let all the rags completely air dry, open and separated before either cleaning or discarding them. Oily rags can and will spontaneously combust, especially when put in a pile. --Friday Safety Monitor fini I also handle the lights when it's time to watch a film.
  14. I made a SUT for the 103 and BBX out of a pair of Altec 4722 transformers. It was so easy even I could do it (instructions available online). The 4722s available on eBay for, maybe $300 per pair. I don't know if Mark can still upgrade the Blueberries, but you might give him a jingly-holler. Funny, that's where my family is from: Jingly Holler, TN.
  15. OK, thanks. I didn't realize what I was giving up. I'll give you one of my earbuds.
  16. This part of the email would indicate "no": "Your answers are completely confidential, and will only be used by us."
  17. I guess I'm still missing something because I didn't see any choices or references to cars or Harley's even though I completed a long multi-question survey. Can anyone help me here or explain it?Thanks, Larry Larry, it's the part where you pick your free gift for taking part in the survey. []
  18. Yes, they have to be in great shape for me to bother with bringing them home. The exception is the occasional interesting cover with trashed (or no) LP inside.
  19. But once they've handled it, they're no longer a stranger... "You can't HANDLE the digeridoo!" --Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Gropes

    BBQ/Smoker ???

Would there be any difference between apple cider and apple juice, for these purposes? EDIT: I just checked on Gurgle, com, and it seems in the US, there is no legal difference between apple cider and juice! The question remains, though, as the experts here have jurisdiction over these matters.
