  1. Can someone in Hope at the Pilgrimage take some pics of the new Ki-396? Thanks!!
  2. I have promedia 2.1 in there now. I'm thinkin'/wonderin' if the XW-300 and a pair of RB-25s would be any better . . . .
  3. The NAD is a great unit. The NAD is still 17" wide. I'm looking for something the size of the Trends Audio or Dayton Audio little T-amps, like the size of an iPhone box.
  4. Hi Rick, I haven't seen anything small that also has the pre out. A "standard-sized" receiver would work, but I'm looking for something very simple and small that sounds good.
  5. That's got to sound great. It looks like the two horizontal speakers flown at the bottom are Ki-215s.
  6. I'm trying to find a physically small two-channel amp for music that has a RCA subwoofer out. I want to power a pair of WB-14's and a XW-300 sub for an office. Don't need/want much power. I've been looking for a little Class-T amp with sub out, but haven't seen one. Any thoughts or ideas?? Thanks!!
  7. Or, the best of the all, the Jubilee. I've had them all, at the same time, in the same room, including the CornScala with BEC-made crossover, Pyle horn, and BEC tweeter. Jubilee best.
  8. I got them, but on my sheet they are still listed as your guests. I just haven't updated yet... Thanks, Amy. Now, we just have to find a way to get you to come to Hope. Shoot, if you were going, I bet 50 more people would sign up. []
  9. Hi Rippyman, Why stop at 15". If you want the deepest, bestest sub, take a look at the KPT-884. A specially designed 18" woofer that goes effortlessly down to 18Hz without the distortion one finds in small, piston-powered boxes. WAF may be low, but I use it quite happily in my home. It's the best sub I've heard . . . .
  10. WOOHOO! Always fun to see the dtels!!! Hey, Amy, Ryan and Tim are members, but their names are not on the list. I sent you email earlier and don't know if you received it. Ryan is RyanHendrixPhoto Can't remember Tim's
  11. Mr max2mc, I am more than capable of crafting my own threads without your assistance. Do you have anything constructive to add to this conversation? Please share with us your experience and expertise in Jubilees. Thank you.
  12. Are you headed for Lebanon yet?!?!?!?? []
  13. Hi Brad, It's not that what you have isn't "good enough". It's what you could have may be a whole bunch better. I use a KPT-884 sub with my Jubs for HT. For two-channel music, I just listen to the Jubs. Roy has a magic EQ for the Jub bass that helps them go really deep and really clean. Roy, recommended the 884 as a good match for the Jubs in home theater application. This bad boy is really clean down to 18Hz. I power it with a Crown XTi 1000. HOLY SMOKE, Rigma's only 30 miles away from you. He has a fabulous all-Jubilee HT. You really should go listen. As I said in a different post, "You ain't heard nothin' yet".
  14. Hey, bracurrie, congrats on the Fortes and Heresys!! Don't feel guilty about playing in the sandbox. We've all been in it. Some of us stil are. [] We've just got to find the opportunity for you the hear the real deal now. Where are you located? We can see if there's some Jubilees near by.
  15. Golly, it may be quite a stretch to call those Jubilees. While they may sound good, they are certainly very different from Jubilees. You have a knock-off, home-made bass bin vs the Jubilee engineered bass bin. Not the same. You have Crites woofers vs the K-31's. Not the same. You have JBL hf drivers vs the K/69. Not the same. You have a home-made wooden tractrix flare hf horn vs an engineered K402 (or K-510). Not the same. I don't, for a second, suggest that your speakers don't sound good. All your components may be quite good in and of themselves. It's just that the system is not a Jubilee. If we put a Chevy body on a Ford chassis with a Chrysler engine and a Honda interior (all good components), we are not driving a Mercedes.
  16. $350 is a good price. Keep your eyes open for a single Heresy to use as center channel and you'll have a sweet little "front-three". Once upon a time I had a 5.1 all-Heresy system that was quite good. I have since replaced the front Heresy's with KP-302s that I like even better.
  17. Man, I can relate to the challenges of aging hearing. Gotta protect what we have left!! [:S] The Heresy is a great little speaker. My response to your question would depend on your intended application and the price of the deal. I have had many pair of Heresy's over the years, from raw to finished first gen to the pro versions. All were fun.
  18. Jubilee bass cabinets are 39.5" tall x 42" wide x 24" deep K402 assembly is 26.5" tall (including mounting board, horn alone is 25.5" tall) x 39.5" wide
  19. Hi bracurrie. Welcome to the Forum!! I'm curious as to why, If you have not heard to 402, you would say in your first post that you don't need the 402? The pictures you have seen of PWK were taken with early versions of the Jubilee with the K403 wooden horn that were manufactured for testing. Only a few were made. As I recall, PWK died before Roy had completed the final design of the K-402. Again, as I recall, Roy had convinced Paul of the benefits of the tractrix ( or modified tractrix ) and was working on the 402 that Paul never heard. The large size of the 402 is actually a benefit in home situations. Because of it's size, the 402 does a better job of controlling coverage and directivity of the lower frequencies of the horn. It prevents the frequencies at the bottom range of the horn from "spilling out on the floor and ceiling", as Roy puts it. I have heard the K-403, the K-510, and the K-402 in the same room. My choice was the K402 for its superior sound qualities. I'm sure someone will correct me if I have misspoken.
  20. Welcome!! Call 1-800-KLIPSCH, listen to menu, press number for parts.
  21. Jubilee with K402 66" high x 42" wide (woofer is 42"w, 402 is 39.5"w) x 24" deep
  22. Sorry my wife and I disagree, and she had a choice of cloth or just wood trim or anything she wanted, since she picked out the 402's the first time she heard them it was her choice. If you think the JBL 2435 is better you obviously never heard the 402 setup properly, and if done passively the crossovers cost more than going active when done right. imo A few have tried to just build a passive with just the crossover points like the standard crossover and take the cheap way out, it has not worked out, then claim it's probably the horn. Maby try what does work for the many who has done it ? One person built the correct passive crossover, Rigma, and it does work, it matches what the speaker was designed to do but very expensive. just another opinion derived from what I was told by 90% of the jube owners. I am not a Jube owner, I went a different way, but with the k402 and active crossover. Well, I am a Jubilee owner and agree with everything dtel just said. Accept no substitute. Insist on the real, engineered deal.
  23. They sound even better . . . . . Call 1-800-KLIPSCH and ask for Roy Delgado
