I have forte II with academy for center. I also went with forte II for surrounds. If you have the room the sound great. You can also use quartets for rears. There is a pair on ebay right now that aren't bid up much, less than 200. The tough part is getting the academy they usually go for around 500 if in decent shape. You will love the sound. You could get along with the heresy's for surround until wome more forte II or quartets show up. You could also use a quartet for center if shielding isn't a problem. You can also get bucking magnets for them to shield them. Good luck you will love the fortes.

Yes plenty of sub. I didn't want to feel like upgrading for a long time. I'm sure I can turn it down enough that it won't overpower everything else. Hopefully it will also give me plenty of punch above 20hz.

Where did you buy your Avia. I can't find it in my towns. Also is this the best to use with DLP TV. I've seen it on the web Thanks

I looked long and hard at the RSW 15. By the specs it didn't dig quite as deep. I have 4 forte II's that are sppuse to roll off around 30-35. The RSW by the sheets is also suppose to roll off around 30 maybe upper 20's. That's why I went SVS. I have nothing against the klipsch sub and if I was only going for musical I would have definitly gone RSW 15. I may start looking for a used RSW 12 or RW 12 for my upstairs system also. I have a quintet systen in my family room up stairs. Hey does anyone have suggestions on subwoofer cable. I'm kind of the breed that believes wire is wire. I use Home Depot wire 12 gauge for my speakers. Is the cheap stuff at Best buy or Radio shack worth it. I'm not a big fan of paying monster cable prices for just wire. Maybe it does make a difference in subwoofer cables. I'll probably need about 10-15 feet by the time I hide it. thanks

I just ordered a PB12/2 ultra b-stock! Will the mortar stay in my foundation?, Will I scare the neighbors cat? Do I need to duct tape down all the dishes in the cupboard? Will the wife leave me?

Thanks for your responses. I was wonder whether i should just get the pb12 plus and then if I wanted to go larger buy another one later or just bite the bullet and get the pb12/2plus right off. I've talked to their techs and gave them my specs on the room and they said the 12 plus would work. Can you have to much sub?

I searched but I could find any threads on this. I don't think klipsch makes any subs with dual drivers so I hope this doesn't offend them. Is it better to have two seperate subs or one sub with dual drivers. I realize that the two seperate subs would cost a little more. So would it be better to have two SVS pb12 plus's or one SVS pb12/2 plus other than the monetary issue. If the two subs are better so that you have less directional sound is that much difference worth the extra cost? Just looking to get into the sub market.

Thanks for you replys. I've never even pulled the grills off of my forte II's. I was just wondering since I see alot on ebay that have the dust caps pushed in. My caps are fine i was just wondering for a possible future purchase.

Could the dust cap be pushed out from the inside for the passive soofer on a forte II. If so would you need to just pull the woofer from the front and look inside to see it of is the passive covered with something on the inside.

Would cornwall I's be a complete mismatch as fronts with forte II's for rears. I hear how everyone loves their cornwalls and I see some for sale close to me. Or should I just keep my four forte II's for HT with my academy center and use the cornwalls as a 2 channel set up in another room since I still have my old sony ES two channel.

Thanks for all the post. CAS you make a good point about the RSW rolling off at about the same point as my forte II's. I also think I've ruled out the RW 12. Mjaudio-- Do you own a stereo store or a sub factory? That's a lot of subs to have been through. Wangdang- Is the HSU sold through dealers or is it a direct purchase like the SVS I'm taking a good look at the SVS ling but I want to go to the local stereo shop and take a listen of the velodynes before I decide.
