I dont know what all the fuss is about,I have had just about everything you could imagine hooked to these corns from 150 watt ss to 3.5 watt set amps.they all have their strenghts and weaknesses,at the moment I am listening to a pair of modified 22 watt asl fox set monos and they are very nice indeed.I may just have to purchase these.I for one can sit and listen to set or pp and enjoy each equally.its all about the music after all.ok back to spinnin some vinyl.Lake is on at the moment maybe some irobot next followed by Bags Groove,comon guys just enjoy the music and chill a bit.peace

Yes the 730 does hold its own,the stingray is a sweetie though

Its better than the hk in ease of listening,a bit more mellow in the highs and the bass is close to the hk but the hk wins out for punch,of course the hk was 100.00 and these are about 1800 used.If I had to choose on listening alone it would be the Stingray hands down,maybe time to start saving my pennies.all new production rays will have sub out,triode switch,and tape loop.decisions decisions.

Borrowed a Stingray from my buddies at Holm audio and I gotta say this little amp rocks! It seems to do everything well and is very easy to listen to even at high levels.just thought I would share

Hey guys,any of you that went to the pilgrimage and remember in the heritage room a cut that was played that the gentleman recorded off of an lp to cd,it was a jazz piece with a great drum solo,anyone know what lp that was from?

I have DT Octavarium and it takes a few listenings to get it but its pretty good,itunes has dt for listening clips but no Ayreon.

I havent heard anything bad about any corns,grab em if the price is right

well on the corns the scott did very very well but for rock the hk just has more guts and it seems to have a decent phono section as well,had over 900.00 into the scott and for 100.00 the hk just seems to make sense for me at this time,but wait a few months and I will prolly be rolling somethin else in.

Well I would say that for vintage the 730 would be great.as far as the prima luna,seems like the price just keeps going up on this chinese amp,there are several companies all selling the same amp under different names,they were a bargain when they sold in the 4-500 range,no one has mentioned creek as a possibility,maybe a 5350se would be a nice combo.

come on parrot how could you get tired of krall after only the 20th time that day.hehe yes I was wondering if placement was the main issue,my guess would be that speaker A was on the inside with B being on the outside and thus having a wider soundstage right off the bat.It was cool to have klipsch let us in on such a test to begin with let alone show us the contestants afterward. I was also seated dead center on the sofa.

I chose B,thought it had a bit better soundstage.
