  1. Very nice setup. That heresy looks tiny. Mark
  2. Bump. His name is Bob Armbruster St. Louis, Missouri. All I need is the street name and number.
  3. Hey all, Capt. Bob sent me a freebie tube amp and I owe him for the shipping. So if you know him tell him to check his PM's . I threw out the box with the return addy otherwise I'd just send it. Mark
  4. That's very cool Erik. Thanx for sharing that. Mark
  5. Top notch! lol , Anyways you have a nice system there. You gotta get some Cornwalls next or something. Mark Very cool tune too.

  7. That's cool. Thanx for sharing that. Mark
  8. Hey, you all can't go down there. That sounds insane, kinda. Isn't there something else that can be done? Mark
  9. Top notch, lol. And ditto what Tim said. Mark
  10. Congrats on the new Cornwalls. Kenosha that's where all of us underaged squids would go after graduating from Great Mistakes to drink. You wouldn't happen to know John Nikolai from Kenosha would you? Mark
  11. Very nice. It reminds me of my servants quarters, lol..
  12. OK, Here's the link you have to copy and paste. What I like about these finds is that you can fix them and learn and if you mess up guess what? You're really not out of anything. I think mine is like beautiful, almost like Art. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Magnavoxfriends/ Take care, Mark
  13. Hey, Nice find. What are those output tubes? You can go to the "Friends of Magnavox" site and find a schematic probably. You can put just a little bit of dough and time and have a swell amp. Congrats!
  14. Hey all, I have these laserdiscs that have been sitting around forever. Why do I have them? I don't know? Anyways if anyone wants them all you gotta do is pay postage. I'm trying to purge my life of all this unnecessary junk so I can get more junk. Last week I gave away a Dual 1246 TT to an Audiokarma member. Anyways here's what I have: Die Hard (widescreen), Star Trek II "The Wrath of Khan", Star Trek III "The Search for Spock", Star Trek IV "The Voyage Home"(widescreen), Star Trek the series "The Conscience of the King" and "Balance of Terror", "The Abyss" (widescreen), "The Hunt for Red October" (letterbox edition), "Demolition Man", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (widescreen), and "The Fugitive". The Discs themselves seem to be in perfect shape. The gatefold covers show some of the typical wear you'd find in any 20 year old record. A few bent corners and such but overall they're in good shape. I don't know if any of you still use these I know "Scooterdog" does. So anyways you can PM me. First come first served. Mark
  15. I just checked the MSDS and it say's it contains .99% water and 1% Dow Corning 360 silicone oil. Mark
  16. I've used anti-static treatment (the kind that you use on the platen glass of copiers) for cleaning surrounds. It's silicone based and very thin. First I carefully blow out the dust with an air compressor. Then apply a meager amount to the surrounds and gently scrub with a nice soft brush. Then remove all the excess with a lint free cloth. Blow with an air compressor again and your set. I believe the silicone if anything would help to preserve the surrounds. I've used it on very grungy paper cones too and it worked well with no detrimental effects as far as I could tell. I can't find mine right now and I don't want to go on safari looking for it but I can post the ingredients tomorrow from work. Mark
  17. Good luck, it'll probably work out in the end. I was admiring that Blueberry myself. Mark
  18. Yes Dean that is true. If you scratch the surface of a new penny you'll see that it's not made out of copper at all. It's merely copper plated. They switched over a l while ago. I forget when the change took place. Mark
  19. Also, the sad thing is that there's no one known in an entire state that can work on it, reliably that is. Good luck. Mark
  20. Your work is impeccable as usual. Thanx for sharing. Mark
