  1. Wes, Where did you get the framed photo of the Klipsch Heritage speakers seen sitting on top of the cornwall? Wish Klipsch would make available photos of Paul and the old Klipsch logo for sale. Thanks, Dan
  2. Rune, I believe Klipsch uses a B&K 4090 Pre-amp and a B&K 4430 amp (200 x 3 ) in the theater in Hope Arkansas. I remember someone saying this when they went on the tour at the beginning of the year. Dan
  3. Matt, It has a 4mH inductor a 33uF capacitor and two 2uF capacitors plus the T2A autoformer. I have the schematic but no way to send it by computer, I can send it by mail if you'd like. I'm sure if you e-mailed Trey Cannon he could e-mail it to you. He's been very helpful, be patient it may take him a while to get to your e-mail. Let me know if you want me to send you a copy by mail. Dan
  4. Matt, You can try partsexpress.com or solen.ca they both have parts for crossovers. Dan
  5. Jim, I have a pair of Model H heresy's like you bought. Mine were bought brand new in 1964. The woofer in those speakers is somewhat limited in its bass response. To me the midrange and tweeter are just beautiful in these speakers. I almost positive that Klipsch used an Electro voice woofer in these speakers. Does yours have a wizzer cone with a piece of screen in the middle. Any questions I can help you with, just let me know. Dan
  6. Steve, The heresy's are rated at 8 ohms. I have that same Sherwood amplifier. It has that level control knob which works with the volume control. What's your thoughts as far as sound quality from the Sherwood. Dan
  7. Chris, I believe the tweeter and midrange on the old Heresy sound much clearer than the new heresy, but the woofer in the old heresy doesn't go that low that's where the new heresy sounds better. Dan
  8. I have a pair of Heresy's that are identical to these and they were made in 1964. The depth of this heresy cabinet is smaller than the Heresy's that are made today. All other cabinet dimensions are identical. In fact you can take a grill cloth off of a present day heresy and it will fit in the 1964 heresy opening. The drivers are different though. Dan
  9. I have Cornwall II's made in 1989, It would be a lot easier if you were to unscrew the woofer. You will have a lot more room to look inside. The woofer screws have t-nuts on them. The tweeter and midrange do come out what's probably happening is theres a piece of thin foam on the back of them which seals them to the enclosure and its probably sticking. You need to get something thin under them to pry them up. The tweeter, once its loose, will take a little work to get out because its magnet needs to fit through a rather small hole. Good Luck. Dan
  10. I recently purchased a K-34 woofer for my 1989 Cornwall and was told by Trey Cannon that some of these woofers were made by Eminence and some by Pyle. Dan
  11. My 1989 Cornwalls have the same midrange horn you are talking about although mine is mounted from the front (K-57-K ) In fact I just received a new midrange horn and driver from Klipsch so they still have these lying around. The plastic horn is the same horn they've been using K 600 just cast out of plastic. Dan
  12. Anybody had a chance to hear the new RF-7? I'm still waiting here in Chicago for a dealer to hook them up to be demonstrated. Dan
  13. JoJo, See if you can listen to a pair of Cornwalls I think you will be impressed by them in comparison to the Heresy's. Dan
  14. mdeneen, The Heresy II's Front board or motor board is made of 3/4" plywood, and the rest of the cabinet is made of 3/4" MDF. Also the Heresy II's horns are plastic where the 1964 Heresy has a sand cast midrange horn which is pretty heavy by itself. Tom, I recall writing to PWK about changing the woofer on the 1964 Heresy and he replied by saying that the present day woofer would not work in the cabinet due to the smaller volume of the box on the 1964 Heresy.
  15. Hey start making those shirts again I'd sure buy one. You wouldn't happened to be able to post a picture of that shirt would you. Dan
  16. Do you know what the part number is for this tweeter. I have noticed that the Heresy II and the cornwall II use the same tweeter horn but the cornwall driver uses a much larger magnet structure. I believe the KLF 30 used the same tweeter as the Cornwall II. ( K-79-K) Dan
  17. Mr. Blorry, I have a pair of 1964 Klipsch Heresys and a 2000 Klipsch Heresy II. The 1964 ones have a sound in the midrange horn and tweeter which is so clear and brillant that it is rather hard to describe. The woofer used on this heresy has a rather high cut off meaning there's not much bass. I would say thats where the Heresy II is improved, but I would have to say that the Heresy II just can't compete with that 1964 Heresy's upper end. The Heresy II cabinet increased in depth over the 1964 one otherwise all dimensions are the same. Midrange and tweeter horns are totally different on both models. Dan
  18. I was able to get the schematic for the Cornwall II's by calling Trey. He was very helpful. Dan
  19. Hondadx, I live in the Chicago area and have been told by the local Tweeters audio chain that there expecting delivery of the new Klipsch speakers by the middle of July 2001. Can't wait to hear them. Dan
  20. Gnomore, I remember someone posting this before and they said there updating it and will bring the parts list back. It's a great source of information for older Klipsch speakers. Dan
  21. John, The Cornwall II and Heresy II use different tweeters and squawkers. Actually the Cornwall II and Heresy II have the same tweeter horn but the driver on the Cornwall II has a much larger magnet structure. You can buy just one Heresy II, I did for my center channel between two Cornwall II's. I'm trying to find a single Cornwall II for the center to see what that sounds like. Dan
  22. Ed, How long did you have to wait to get the T-Shirt? I was hoping that they would have a t-shirt with the old PWK logo. Dan
  23. Pete, Does your Cornwall have a bass port its hard to see from your picture? Dan
  24. Just wanted to wish Paul W. Klipsch a Happy Birthday. Thanks for creating these wonderful Cornwall speakers. Hopefully someday I'll be able to purchase the Mighty Klipschorns. Dan
  25. retired one, I believe the RV stands for the riser base that is attached to the bottom of Forte. This comes as an option on many Klipsch speakers. My Cornwall II's have this riser base and its identified with RV-2 Dan
