  1. thanks ...i'll have to remember that.......some day ,..................some time .maybe.i'll have a stage.
  2. ApEx...... i just noticed in your signature you have the F-2's ( 6-1/2" Woofer) and S-2 (5-1/4") not the F-3 and S-3.... . im not sure how low the F-2's go. you might want to try them at small and see how you like it. also try with sub at norm instead of +main. have someone switch the phase for you.
  3. oh yeh....they say delivery is about a week but in both instances i was happy to see them arrive in less than 3 days. you'll be enjoying them before you know it. UPS beat up the F-3 boxes really bad (must have been to heavy for them), even had holes the size of my fist in them, but Klipsch's packaging saved the speakers. they were spotless the C-3 and S-3 that UPS delivered had no signs of mishandling.
  4. Reochamp.....i'm not sure about tax . i bought the F-3's months before the rest on sale for about $404 then the next day on their web site i saw that they had dropped the price again. printed it and took it to the local BB and they gave me a card for the difference plus 10 percent. darn near 100 bucks if i remember correctly. (i don't think they were supposed to do the 10 percent on their own price but she did) then i bought the center and surrounds. i paid something like $313 for the C-3, $427 for the S-3's.. again on sale. i just recently got the sub. it was on sale for $484 and i got a free $50 gift card with the purchase. (still watching the web site to see if it goes on sale for less) i also had to wait for my F-3's .......they only had 1 in stock[8-)][*-)]..so i waited for both to come via UPS. i ordered the C-3 and S-3's from BB on line as our local didn't stock them.[:^)] believe it or not they actually had the sub[]
  5. ApEx......on the receiver i have the F-3's set to large. the sub is set to +Main. Sub volume at 0..crossover at 80 hz. on the sub i have the gain at about 10 o'clock..the phase is set to 180.....you may want to adjust these for your particular situation and room. ideally when the sub is playing music you should hardly notice it is there. but if you turn it off it will sound as if the bottom dropped out and something is missing. you shouldn't notice it on but will definitely notice if it isn't. (does that make sense?) for the phase play some bass heavy music (i used afroman), then while you are sitting in your normal spot have someone else flick the phase switch. when its in phase you will hear more bass than when its not. hope this helps....enjoy
  6. BTW i also have the synergy f-3's s-3's and c-3 as i see you do. also if you can wait awhile the sub may be on sale. BB seem to be running a sale on Klipsch speakers every 4 months or so.
  7. my room is much larger but i like the sub -12. it sounds tight with music and can rattle the windows with movies. of course i dont have alot of experience with subs in general. so i dont have anything to compare it to. i am very happy with it.
  8. at the BB here they have it hooked up with speaker wire from the mains. i dont realy know why they do what they do but aparently they dont have any consistant way through the corporation.

    Mr & Mrs Smith

decent movie........and i like her big lips
  10. i thought it was a very well made move but not a very good horror flick. but then i don't scare easily. It takes a lot to freak me out.
  11. the 2 sub inputs are for stereo sub from a receiver with such outputs. if you only have 1 sub/LFE out connect it to the white (LFE/left) and connect nothing to the red (right). BTW....i have heard that some subs give a few more db if both inputs are used with a splitter. klipsch sub manual says nothing about connecting with a splitter.
  12. biz..... i have the sub-12 with S-3's set to large, phase is 180, the Denon receiver setting for sub at 0db, gain at 9 o'clock, and normally have the volume at -10 for movies and music. before adjusting i had the gain at 1 o'clock and phase at 0. i detected no distortion or bottoming even when watching war of the worlds. i think these subs can handle a lot . just get the setup right and i think everything will be OK.
  13. Ooh yeugh! thats what i'm talkin about. looks awesome! you're going to have one fine looking theater.
  14. i may be wrong, but here's how i did it. using the test tones on the receiver and a RS SPL meter. i played the test tones and adjusted the system volume control until i got a reading of 80db on the meter (80db is just a reference point.) then as the tone moved from speaker to speaker i adjusted the volume for that individual speaker in the receiver menu to 80db. LM, CTR, RM,RS,LS. the sub i adjusted using the gain on the sub but the menu has a volume control for this also. i just got the rives test cd and have not had a chance to use it yet but leveling out the speakers and switching the phase on the sub made worlds of difference. BTW i am using synergy F-3,C-3,S-3 ,SUB-12. and a Denon AVR-683 receiver. hope this helps.
  15. yep. i had a link to those in a reply to westvirginia khorns for sale on ebay post about 4 days before auction end. they were at $2400 at that time. they were beautiful.
  16. well, i was gonna wait until after you got the sheetrock up...looks like its gonna be cool when done.
  17. there's a most excellent pair on ebay right now.....beautifull doesn't do them justice...last i looked price was @ about 2400. still 3 days left though. http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-Klipschorn-Khorn-corner-speakers-BIG-BASS_W0QQitemZ5847596717QQcategoryZ61378QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  18. welcome to the forum. if you include the info Jay481985 mentioned you should get a lot of suggestions. if you post this in the subwoofer section of this forum you will get even more suggestions. i would also add will it be for music ? movies? both? what percentage? anyone can tell you to buy X sub. but without knowing the answers to these questions you could end up with something ridiculously inappropriate for you.
  19. a picture is worth a thousand words. sure would like to see those speakers. maybe he'll sell them on ebay and we can use the Auctionbloopers site to find them.[]
  20. BTW, have you listened to to sub-12 at home yet? if not rather than waiting for something in the mail just run to radio shack. They've jumped on the monster band wagon too.[:'(] but their RS gold series cable is good. all my cables are RS except for the sub (bluejeans) and the speaker cable (monster) yes , there was a time when i was fooled by the hype.(got mine from ebay though at a good price) let me know what you think of the sub-12.
  21. i echo those comments. you can do just as good with less money. my personal preference is bluejeanscable. they look good too, maybe not quite as flashy as monster but who's gonna look anyway. but if you're one of those gotta have monster kinda people then by all means spend your money on what ever tickles your fancy. BTW a cable and an interconnect are one and the same .
  22. for those that don't have the time or equipment check this out. http://www.rivesaudio.com/services/servframe2.html they also have ETF software package for $150.
  23. Ive got Mcafee Internet suite,AdawareSE,Spywareblaster and Spybot search and destroy. I have no problem using your site.
  24. awesome...many times i have tried misspelling words, spacing and hyphenating to find a deal. this takes away all the hassle. so easy, thanks. sent the link to some friends.
