  1. I've seen that exact auction before, relist? scam?
  2. NICE!!!, I love F250/350's, nothing like a diesel. Right now I'm looking at getting myself a 2001 or so, Toyota Tacoma 4x4, Extended Cab, Short Bed, V6, 5-Speed. overseas Toyota pickups come with optional diesel, I sure wish thoes were available here. the US needs more diesel vehicles. Right now I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0L torque monster I-6, 4x4, auto. The thing gets such horrible gas mileage, 15/18 is about what I get. the V6 Tacoma gets 19/24 with the 5-speed From what I've been seeing, I think I can get the 2001 Tacoma with the options i've listed above for around $14k with pretty low miles. Here is a 2000, features I want, but that one is 2WD, I dont think there is any difference visually.
  3. Because I bought NAD for it's superior 2 channel performance, not every company does everything great, in my opinion for the money I don't think NAD is the best to go with for home theater, unless you are talking about their pre/pro in which case their surround processor alone is $1800 Don't get me wrong, the NAD surround receivers sound amazing, but they don't have as many features as other receivers for the price.
  4. I think the Harman Kardon AVR-7300 which used to be $2400 can be had now for $1050 from authorized dealers like OneCall.com That thing has been tested by a home theater magazine and puts out a true 139x7w before clipping.
  5. I love my F-3's I treat them well with NAD power Nice choice on the HK, one of my favorites.
  6. Let me use your C162, you know you're not even going to need that NAD with thoes silly Monitor Audio RS-8's you want to buy, GO KLIPSCH and never look back. I don't care if you can't get them locally within 250 miles.
  7. That is one network that looked absolutly amazing, Discovery HD wow. They got the goods.
  8. Speaking of HD, a friend of mine just got a 26" Samsung LCD HDTV, has it hooked upto his digital cable box via HDMI, all I can say is HD isn't here yet, Time Warner Cable has that crap so comapressed, I can't even bare watching sports in HD, any fast movement makes the image pixelate like a mofo, hooked upto his HTPC via VGA playing WMD-HD it looks freakin amazing, but that digital HD cable stuff is just not there yet. Maybe other cable providers or satellite is better, but I'm not liking what I saw there.
  9. It didn't, my salesman contacted me, with a definate date of no later then mid next week, so around the 19th I guess. I ran into him at my work today and he said how sorry he was for the long wait, I laughed it up and said I wouldn't have canceled it anyway, since it's something I really want. It's not really like it's his fault though, the preamp was on backorder at NAD. Heck my dad was on a waiting list for 4 months til he got his Honda ST1300 motorcycle, I can manage waiting a little over amonth for my preamp.
  10. Eh, weight doesn't always mean it's going to perform well, my NAD C272 amp is rated at 150x2 into 8ohms, it's been tested by Stereophile and puts out 180-190x2 (I forget the exact number) before clipping occurs with a flat and low THD all the way through, and it only weighs 26lbs. DrWho once told me that a heavy amp might only be heavy because it's very inefficent.
  11. I was out with a buddy today offroading, stopped at Home Depot on the way back to his place, and picked up some heat-shrink tubing, 3 pack of 3/8" - 4" pieces, $1.39 to do the cables up right, and I'm quite happy now. Looks just like cool guy cable now.
  12. www.bluejeanscable.com Is what I use, recommended to me by multiple forum members. They are cheap, great quality, and some of the best connectors for the money out there.
  13. Well today marks 1 month since I paid for my NAD seperates, as mentioned the amp already arrived and I have that in my possession, but I'm still waiting on the preamp. The dealer opens up at 10am, I which I'll give them a call shortly after, hopefully with good news. I might flip out if I have to wait longer, 1 month is long enough.
  14. I really need to get myself a nice mini fridge, not thoes el-cheapo $40 ones that hold like a 6 pack of pop, but one that could hold a 12 pack of 12oz beer bottles and room for something else. It is very nice to have one! Its right behind my bar in the basement. The previous owners must have known I was buying the house. [] Sears has a 2.5 cu-ft Kenmore with euro style stainless door on sale right now for $99, but it doesn't have auto defrost, my parents had a motorhome with a full size fridge/freezer that didn't have auto defrost and it was some what of a pain on week long trips. I guess I'll have to keep looking, the auto defrost ones from some brand called Avanti cost $170-180 for 2.5-2.8cu-ft
  15. I will say I noticed an improvement from the first second I got the system running with the Canare. I like the cable, I can't see a cable making such a huge difference that you can say you don't like it, but whatever floats your boat.
  16. Thoes are some nice cables Jay, I might have to pick up that Dayton to hook my iPod to the preamp, I don't really need anything super fancy just to hook up an iPod.

  18. I don't think this has ever been asked before, atleast I hope not. Like the thread subject says, what do you like to drink while listening to your Klipsch? For me I like to tip back a Tecate or Corona Extra with a slice of lime and a dash of salt while rockin to the sweet sounds of Klipsch. So what about you?
  19. That's intresting, I'm pretty sure both use a 15"
  20. I was going to do that but wasn't sure if it was worth the money and the gas to get there.
  21. Oh oh I have Synergy, a pair of F3's and I've posted about them before They are pretty darn nice for the money.
  22. Here is a shot of the F-3 binding posts. Speaker cable and Interconnects also purchased through Blue Jeans .
