  2. I too am sorry for your loss Amy. Prayers for you and your family.
  3. A seller on craiglist installed klipsch in his truck.http://springfield.craigslist.org/cto/1310050035.html
  4. Seti, that is beautiful. I want to float the middle Buffalo as well. Hell I want to float it all. Ha The "throw away" camera's don't do a very good job but it captured the moment. I have alot of pictures of my wife and son but my wife dosen't like how she looks so I won't post them. She was the prettyest women on the river.
  5. Last one, as you can see there was no one around. It was like we rented the river.
  6. This is behind the cafe were we ate at the Park.
  7. Skonopa, Daddy Dee, it was a great trip. My son is a handful on the river. Tarheel, I'm going to pick up the pictures in a few minutes. I bought a couple of disposable camera for the float. If there is a few good pictures I'll post them today.
  8. I floated the Buffalo River. We drove down Monday morning, found a camp site, found a outfitter, and was on the river before 11:am. We floated the lower part of the river from Maumee to Hiway 14 bridge(9.5 miles). It took us 7 hours. It was the prettiest float I ever been on in my life. There was almost no one on the river. I could look 50 yards each way and not see nor hear anyone. Very clean river. There was plenty of water without being dangerous. Our canoe was a Old Town Discover 15' 8" and it turned on a dime and tracked nicely. Good boat. We got side-ways on one big rock that my co-pilot(my wife) didn't see until we where right on it but still never flipped. My son(7 years old) was going to get out on the rock. LOL. There is no shade on the Buffalo so we were burnt to a crisp. Forgot sunscreen. After we got off the river we went to our camp at Buffalo Point State Park. Very few campers. Very nice camp site. We had water, electric, picnic table, and a good flat spot to throw our tent up at. Clean showers too. We set around the fire, fighting sleep. It was so quiet, such a nice night. The next morning we went to a cafe the Park owned. Good breakfest. The whole trip was relaxing. Good people everywhere we went. I'm ready to go back. Thanks guys for the input.
  9. If you go to "Powered Subwoofer" section of this forum you will read about and see recomendation for subs other than Klipsch. I personally wonder what these Zu speakers look and sound like.
  10. I don't see where your located but there is a pair for sell in the "garage sell" section right now. Good luck.
  11. Winchester21, for your next computer you might think about building your own. Its very easy and lots of fun. Good luck.
  12. Emotiva does have sales. I believe that a person can pick up refurbs as well. Thats what I heard, don't remember where. Maybe give them a call.
  13. Tarheel I have seen the movie and I floated the Piney River and it reminded me of it. It wasn't my wife I was concerned in if you get my drift LOL. Seti, I'll call ahead to make sure the water is good. If nothing else we can go for a hike. Eat BBQ. Do something. Arkansas is beautiful. If it was up to me we would go from one river to the next just to say I've been there(and I like to float).
  14. I have a XPA 3 and love it. Music sounds more crisp, clear, and bigger. The more I listen to it the more I like it. If I would have had the money I would have went for the XPA 5 because one day I might want a Pre-amp. Good luck
  15. Thanks for the info John and Dee. I personally like to fish for smallmouth and use plastic mini-craw pumkin colored with a slider hook/sinker if there is alot of crawdads in the river as their natural food. To fish out of state is $11 per adult and that is good. I have a friend over trying to tell me to go to the Eleven Point River but I'm set on the Buffalo. The more I speak of floating the more pumped I (and my son) get. Thanks again. Maybe someday I'll meet you on the river.
  16. Thanks for the reply John. 25 miles from a good clean river is a dream to me. I hear that the Buffalo has white water in the spring. I have a question, is the smallmouth plentiful? And if so, what do you catch them on? Is there a lot of crawdads in the river? My family and I love to fish the rivers and creeks. I have the Finley and James River real close to use and they have trophy area's (smallmouth)but the fish are so wormy and the rivers are nasty. They get Springfields run off and three sewer treatment plant that run in them. Very sad.
  17. My family and I are looking into floating the Buffalo. The lower part around Yellville. I hear its a pretty float. Alittle slow for me but I'll have my 7 year old boy with me and have never floated it so better safe than sorry. We float the Niangua river in Missouri a few times a year but I'm wanting to see some new country. Niangua is getting kinda trashy which shouldn't happen with all the outfitters they have. Anyway, I don't think there is anything more relaxing than a good float and the Buffalo is our next if weather permits.
  18. I have RF62 and the yamaha 663 and wanted more so I told my wife I was getting an amp and she said "no." So I traded my wife in for a Emotiva XPA 3 and I had to give them alittle cash to boot. Hey, problem solved.
  19. Justin, nice pictures. Really good. I take alot of pictures but never that good. I like to take bug pictures.
