  1. I picked this album (CD) up on BMG Music Club a while back and I will definitely concur. The disc 2 jams are worth the purchase and an excellent bonus. Great, great CD. The Deluxe version.
  2. The Sub-12 is rated at 24HZ I think. Don't need copper. I listen to movies and music in the dark anyway. [] At DrWho's recommendation I went to hear a Sub12. I have to agree with him that this truly is a "sleeper" in the Klipsch line. I heard it putting out some impressive SPL and low response, yet it blended well and didn't draw attention to itself. It effortlessly filled the large warehouse of Best Buy with phat, musical bass. Definitely worth checking out. The Sub10 however, isn't in the same league. That is one reason I settled on the Sub-12. Comments from some very knowledgeable folks on the Subwoofer Forum. Fit my price range and performance criteria. I just have to get to Fort Smith and hear it to verify the choice. Didn't mean to get a subwoofer thread started here but as they say, Stuff (sp?) happens.

  4. Exactly right. Or spin you off to another brand. I may be wrong but I'll bet that store used the Klipsch name to sell me a paradigm that they make more gross profit on. Hell, just about everyone on this forum has more Klipsch than that dealer did. Boy, now my blood's gettin' up!!
  5. Daddy Dee right on the money................DITTO...........Go To Your Doctor...... Get to your doctor and ask a bunch of questions. In the meantime read this if you haven't already. http://www.webmd.com/hw/health_guide_atoz/nord240.asp And did I mention, get to your doctor. If he doesn't answer your questions get another doctor.
  6. That is what I was thinking after reading the forum here and studying for a few weeks. It will fill my needs.
  7. The next closest would be Fort Smith and that a days wagon ride from here. You are right he was not much of a dealer. When he demo'd the Paradigm sub I asked him if it was downfiring or what. He turned it up looked at the bottom and said he didn't know what it was. Must be coming out of them hole thingey's there. Jeesh. Buckster: Circuit City doesn't have Klipsch that I know of. Best Buy stocks the Sub-12. I don't go for the LESS-Expensive all the time. Sometimes the cheapest is just that. My heart and pocketbook lie with the little guy. Because that is what I am. I am the chimpanzee fighting the gorilla! In a manner of speaking!!! I kind of like it that way.
  8. I visited my local Klipsch dealer Friday to check on a subwoofer. I wanted to listen to some as I have never heard them. I had about decided on a Sub-12 from BB but I wanted to give the local guy a chance. I would rather support the small business before the mega conglomerate. Anyway, I walk in, tell the guy what I want and he says, "I don't have any Klipsch subs but I do have some Paradigm's that are just as good and cost less." I did not want a Paradigm and here is a Klipsch Dealer pushing that over Klipsch and not even stocking a Klipsch Sub. He said he could order me one and it would be here in a few days. Boy, what a letdown. I won't mention the dealer (Russellville, Ark) because I wouldn't want to embarrass him. Guess I'll have to go to the Mega 800-lb gorilla corporate store.
  9. Hey Buckette....(punk), I heard ya crying. Think of it this way... ANYONE can have a poster that's wrinkled. Only you have a pair that are wrinkled and were framed by ... [] I will admit those speakers are nice.............................THE JBL's that is..........[] Hope that's all that's wrinkled!!![]
  10. Why would that be offensive? It would also make a good one.
  11. I finally got mine into a frame and on the wall. I posted it elsewhere cuz I could not find this thread so here it is. Hobby Lobby is a great place for frames and framing if you have one of those handy.
  12. IMHO. This could be done for about $50.00, IMHO.
  13. Hobby Lobby. $125. Frame was 50% off. My daughter did this. I would not have but it does look nice up there, doesn't it?
  14. Just got my poster hung. Hope this picture posts.
  15. It's September so I went to town. We are a long way out ya know. Been listening to this since last night. This is better than I thought it would be. The Joe Walsh and ZZ Top segments were great.
  16. Sounds familiar? I'm gonna dig deep this week and bring out an album that I bought on a lark one Friday when classes had adjourned for the week, back in the day. 1976 maybe??? Oh well this one turned out pleasantly. Phil Manzanera
  17. Thank you. I might be interested in this upgrade of the capacitors. What is involved by sending the networks and what would the approximate cost be? I think I might be squeamish about cracking open a perfectly good speaker. But for progress I could possibly do it! The speakers are 12 years old so they might be good for another how many years. I dunno. Let me know.
  18. I noticed on a members sig line this equipment description. Klipsch KG5.2 (DeanG crossover upgrade) I have a set of KG 5.2's and have always been pleased with their performance. Being a novice, what improvement would a crossover upgrade provide? And how would I go about doing it if I choose to? Sorry if this is too elementary but I am not a tech person. Thanks.
  19. Just found this. Don't know if it has been mentioned.................Blind Faith at Hyde Park 1969. Will be released on DVD Sept 19, 2006. Tracklist: Well All Right Sea Of Joy Sleeping In The Ground Under My Thumb Cant Find My Way Home Do What You Like Presence Of The Lord Means To An End Had To Cry Today This would be their first public performance I believe.
  20. I always liked the Bengals. From their beginning until Greg Cook got drafted and was going to be the best QB ever and take them to the promised land.............................................then I picked the Saints and never looked back.
  21. I used SS-3's in a similar situation. Was going to use a 7.1 set-up but went back to 5.1 because it sounded better with what I had. The SS-3's can be at your side position.
  22. 1973. Joe Walsh The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get LP and CD A continuance of the "made loud to be played loud" theme. This album introduces "Rocky Mountain Way". Joe Vitale, drums, flute, backing vocals, keyboards, and synthesisers, Kenny Passarelli, bass and backing vocals, Rocke Grace, keyboards and vocals and the legendary Bill Szymczyk producing. Turn it up!
