  2. Just wanted to say, Merry Christmas to all of you on this forum. Hopefully Santa has been good to all of you. Let's hope that the New Year allows us to beat back the Corona virus a good deal so that we can all enjoy our lives. Tom B
  3. Thank you for the enlightening thread. Wow, not very impressive. I think I got my mind made up on this one. Tom
  4. Has anyone here have any experience with this particular amp? If so, can you give me an opinion on performance and reliability of this unit? One for sale in the area and I can't seem to find much information at all. Price is in the range that if it has good things going on, I may choose to play with it. Any opinion or advice welcomed. Tom
  5. Picked up the tuner this morning and it is in extremely good condition. I am very impressed. Unfortunately I won't be checking it out for a few days. I hope it works as well as it looks.
  6. well if they will have to pry it out of your hands, I think my question is answered.
  7. If it checks out the price is certainly good. I am curious as to how good of a tuner it is and if it is a keeper.
  8. I have an opportunity to pick up a McIntosh MR-78 tuner for what seems to be a good price ($500.00). Anyone own or have owned one? Any opinions about this model? Is it worth asking price? Tom
  9. I just seen this and I too am sad to learn of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of dealing with him on several occasions over these 15 or so years I have been a forum member. Always very helpful and courteous. Possessed a great deal of knowledge. Seemed eager to help and willing to guide in the right direction if I was unsure of what path to follow during the few repairs and replacements of these Klipsch speakers components. RIP BOB! like what Has already been said, you will be missed.
  10. I have my RF-7s in my bedroom and even though they are more than I need in that space I don't see them going anywhere. They sound great. Keeping them sounds like a good idea. Enjoy

    SW 15

I sold the SW 15 for $175.00. I was impressed by the amount of bass, but like you, I noticed it was not the quality of bass I am looking for. I do have an older Velodyne 12 inch subwoofer, but have to see what is up with the tiny toggle switches. They seem to cut output power if I try to use them. Maybe need cleaning or replacing.

    SW 15

It is just an SW15 looks like it was born in 1993. Yes, I plan on selling it locally. I think it would cost more to ship than what it is actually worth. The thing is huge. I certainly have nowhere to place it and my daughter and her husband are not nterested in it at this time. I'm still working on them ,though I don't know how successful I will be.

    SW 15

I won an auction where I scored a pair of Lascalas, a pair of SP1s and an Sw15. I am checking this giant subwoofer out and it's not too bad. For being 26 years old it is actually pretty darn good. My only problem with it is that it is huge. Is there much of a market for this beast ?
  15. Well, I am listening to the Lascalas right now and they certainly don't go as low as the Cornwalls but they have a more present sound. Been a long time since I had Lascalas in the room. The Cornwalls are hanging out at my buddies house. I think I can live with these.
  16. I bid on these and won. My winning bid was $400.00. With premium fee and tax, atotal of $513.00 A great freaking deal. I am heading out in a couple of hours to go pickup. Woohoo!
  17. I do have a pair of Crites 125s in a box around here somewhere that I was going to put into my Cornwalls. I am contemplating selling the Cornwalls and keeping the Lascalas I haven't picked up the Lascalas yet. So, I haven't heard them yet.
  18. Are the AA xovers in these Lascalas one of the better xover designs for the Lascalas? I know there have been several different xover designs over the years and I am just wondering what the consensus is concerning these. Tom b.
  19. I am always amazed at how lazy we humans can be. With all the technology we have at our disposal, we utilize it to do less and less. I too am guilty of this. I am in possession of several remote controls, because it just seems to be too troublesome to get up off my butt and push buttons or turn dials. I do still vacuum. Probably not as often as I should. Maybe I should look into a roomba. I too think that you should put up some protective barrier. Tom
  20. I lusted after Belle's for years. I too thought they would sound comparable to the Lascalas I owned. I was wrong. In my room they just didn't do it for me. My Cornwalls seem to be the ticket for me. They do a lot right and very little left for me to want. Belle's are beautiful. Good luck. Tom
