  1. but, you’d never find me holding a rickenbacker, gretsch, brian may, gibson firebird or ES-175 over the side … and not my new stratocaster either … and not a fender pawnshop or jazz master or mustang … not a telecaster either, because that was my first guitar. Godin?…no … PRS…definitely not. how about a Les Paul? wouldn’t upset me … never was a fan of those heavy things.
  2. Sadly, the emblem and the foot pegs are where the value is; but, good luck with the sale. If they don’t sell quickly, come up with a hard luck story. People are suckers for a good story. Cherry is beautiful … I have a red cherry guitar that’s looks incredible. Seriously, good luck with the sale.
  3. I’m still enjoying teasing them … soon the newness will wear out and they’ll be regular guys again; but, for now … its still fun for those of us that are still immature and loving it. P. S. don’t tell them that about this thread…if they get suspicious and start asking questions, just assure them that it’s not about fashion, dancing, or moisturizer.
  4. I solved my speaker addiction by focusing on my guitar addiction (which is stronger and often more expensive).
  5. alright casanova … give us your cheesiest pick up line (that worked).
  6. Chuck, You do laundry too? What a guy. I found it easier to just buy new clothes, which is why i have 19 very large trash bags full of clothes in my closet that haven’t seen the light of day in well over two years. Since my brother moved in, he does laundry so he was taking care of my backlog of dirty clothes until i ran out of storage space--had to tell him to stop doing laundry until i figure out where to put all the clothes. The good part is that i’ve forgotten most of the clothes so when he grabs a bag from the closet and washes them, it’s like getting new clothes all over again. I’ve got a fortune in blue jean levi’s as that’s all i wear.
  7. i should go into my archives … i have a Yamaha HTR 5790, F3, C3, S3, KSW 12 … not using any of them--although not bad speakers at all, just have Cornwalls and H1s out in the living room. I could probably sell the Synergy for half the price of a new guitar (not a bad idea). But then i’d have to go dig them out of the closets and that’s just a pain.
  8. can’t remember if it was in cheboygan or the Soo, walking downtown and the snow was plowed to the middle of the road and it was piled so high you couldn’t see the other side of the street. pretty crazy site for a SoCal guy. But going through the Soo Locks on a bitterly cold night wasn’t too fun. Our ship was 75’ wide and the widest locks is only 110’ (i believe). We all stood there holding fenders over the side … just in case.
  9. don’t remind me -- that was traumatic. My brother lives with me now. He talked with the manager, who offered to pay for the laundry (i dumped a half dozen towels on the bathroom floor). My brother said thanks but i think cleaning the carpet is a better idea, this is the second time in six months this has happened. They agreed to foot the bill for carpet cleaning.
  10. if i had your money, i’d burn mine.
  11. you guys aren’t taking any of this seriously.
  12. strange because it’s so business Unfriendly. I think we’re the third most taxed state, and housing cost …well, they’re ridiculous; but, not as bad as some places. My house payment was a bit over $3,100 per month; but, i think a similar house would have been more in San Francisco.
  13. in closets collecting dust. too lazy to sell them--if someone with a fist full of money knocked on my door asking if i had some speakers for sale …. wait, that won’t work, i don’t answer my door.
  14. sorry for not picking up on that -- guess i’m not on my game today.
  15. my question exactly--we’re thinking alike--one of us is messed up.
  16. ok, now that i read the thread, your comment seems more sarcasm--which is appropriate. I just went downtown Huntington Beach and ate dinner--paid a whopping $2 to park in the parking garage on Pacific Coast Highway.
  17. you normally don’t talk such nonsense; but, really? I take that back, Vegas is a bit to the east.
  18. 12 Klipsch not counting pro media or headphones or earbuds… six of the heritage line.
  19. a couple of threads disappeared, not sure why.
  20. when someone asks if the food was good i say, “it’ll make a turd.” and i’m not lying.
  21. BUMP (because I just don’t care)
  22. that would be fun; but, do you trust your fellow forum brothers not to google the line?
