  1. I am not sure exactly what you are asking. What speakers are you running as side surrounds and rear surrounds now? I am not familiar with the SF2's, SB2's. I have both the RB-75's (just posted a pic on today's RB-75 shelf thread) and RS-7.( BTW the RB-75 is a bookshelf speaker, although I heard Mr. Cannon call it a "mini floorstander" )

The Sales Manager assured me "it would be in the store in 5 to 7 days". Well, Thursday was 7 days, and no speaker. ---------------- I am REALLY sorry to hear that. If any store could do what they said they were going to do, I would think Custom Audio would be the one. Not having displayed Items readily available is one of my pet peeves and hence I am glad you gave us the update. When we had Ultimate Electronics here and they didn't have items, weeks and sometimes months at a time I wrote letters to both ULTE and Klipsch expressing how many sales they were missing because of lack of inventory. The only response I received was from Ultimate's Dave Workman. It was basically a form letter saying that he was sorry that my experience was less than satisfactory and he was glad I brought it to their attention. If I were you I would be livid and be calling the other store immediately and see if THEY have one in stock--If they don't please let us know so we (at least I) can be upset with you.
  3. Here is how I did mine--Not invisible but only cost 12 bucks.
  4. Steven is a real nice guy. I met him at the pilgrimage. I hope to make it to Virginia and check out the sknopa system sometime as well. It's a little bit too long of a bike ride from here. He's rumored to have a killer car system also. Insofar as the RF-7's are concerned, I hear some folks on this forum (and even more at AVS) tell potential fans that they don't sound good in a small room--Poppycock!
  5. ---------------- On 8/5/2005 2:27:06 PM Tom Adams wrote: Yo Ana and tk.....why don't you guys just pick up the phone and call each other?? Just pickin'....... Tom ---------------- Sorry Tom. I forgot some of you folks have that subscription thing engaged. I will mention the email feature to nick. {edit: I forgot how serious you "updates and Mod" fellows were)=}
  6. ---------------- On 8/5/2005 11:07:06 AM Anakin26 wrote: Well... large desire makes space relative I guess! Hmm.... just checked my KSW-15. No LFE-out. But there is a speaker in and speaker out terminal. Got to check on the manual what this terminal does. Maybe I could connect my surrounds there! One pair of RS-7s will work as "normal surrounds" replacing the RS-3s. The other pair will replace the RB-15s as rear surrounds. I am actually happy to have the RS-7s instead of the bookshelf speakers as this will blend in with the system better. I also think they will produce a more "enveloping" sound in the rear. But even if I did want to have an RC-7 or bookshelfs it wouldnt be possible, as my dealer only sells the set "as is". I was wondering: Do you have your RF7-s toed in to your listening position? I found that this improves the soundstage of the RF-3s a lot. I will not be able to position the RF-7s at the exact same angle, because the space for the left speaker is VERY small. Schönen Abend! Nick ---------------- Ya Wol, Insofar as the Ksw 15, no it doesn't have the LFE out (I have that sub at work;-)Also don't connect the surrounds there. My only thoughts (not that you asked) about having 2 sets of side surrounds (especially both being WDST speakers and that large) so close together is how much information is being "sprayed" around in such a close area. It appears that you sit right up against the back wall. I have a similar situation in my bedroom when we lay down and watch a movie. I have a 5.1 setup in there and have the RS-3's (WDST spkrs) on the side walls. It sounds great. I tried to go to a 7.1 system but it was too much (especially for my wife). I put both bookshelf (RB-5's) and WDST (SS-1) in the rear and had to agree it was too much. Just something to consider. Everyone's room is different. As they say YMMV (i.e. your mileage may very) or should I say YKMV. {edit: keep the 15's just in case--It may save you some Euros} Yes I have my 7's toed in and I can see the back of the throat of all my horns.
  7. Guten Tag Nick. No, I don't have a big house--Just a large desire to have big sound. I have 2 systems at the house and 1 at my business. I hook my 2 RSW's through the "LFE Out" on my Denon (The RSW's have a LFE out as well so I can link them). Where are you putting 2 pairs of RS-7's? I am guessing in place of where your other surrounds are. It should sound great--did you consider a pair of Bookshelf speakers for your rear surround or a single RC-7?
  8. Sorry Dragon. Can't help you I have all of his DVD's and most of his SACD's. I can highly recommend "Play--The videos." It's recorded in DTS 96/24 and the sound quality is excellent.
  9. It is my understanding that the upper end reference (actual wood) is made in Hope, Arkansas, as well as the RF-3's which at one time was the top of the line Reference. All of the Heritage line is made in Hope. The THX, the lower end reference and the Synergy is made abroad.
  10. My RSW's don't bottom out--When the canons go off it scares the Sh!t outta me.
  11. ---------------- On 8/4/2005 9:31:25 AM Anakin26 wrote: Are you in the HT Business? Or just infected with "the virus" like me? ---------------- Neine. Ich bin "Klipch HomeTheater" krank auch. I have 3 small Home Theaters with my main one listed below. I am a big enough Klipsch fan that I travel around to different events that they sponsor. I also am starting to visit some local forum members houses and listen to their systems. I hope to have some visit my house sometime soon. I live on a lake outside of Dallas, Texas. My main reason for moving to this area was to be close to DFW International Airport. I like the fact that flights aren't that expensive. When you get your RS-7's, where are they going to go? Just curious, what are you going to do with your RF-3's? I use both as A & B side surrounds (My Denon allows for 2 sets along with my rears)
  12. Guten Morgen! (order Guten Tag fur Anakin) Interlaken had both! Ever since Anarchist mentioned the 3 Aussies I have a deep desire to go back. I am married now and don't think I will be able to stay at " Balmers Herberg" but I highly recommend it for anybody (backpacking crowd) that wishes to have a GREAT time in the middle of nirvana. I may start a separate thread just to discuss my experiences there and see how many other people have been. Weisenbeir is nicht fur meir. Ein mal Belhaven bitte! Wheat beer doesn't taste right to me. I prefer just about anything else. Deine Wohnkino ist ser shone (don't know how to make the umlaut:-) Ich leibe dien Projektion InFocus. I have a friend who has one in their house and I was skeptical of the picture quality when they told me how much they paid for it ($900). When I saw the picture, I was amazed. I think when you get those RF-7's you will be impressed. I have had mine for 2 years and haven't felt the need to upgrade. I noticed you have a tree outside of your window. Do you live in the city or outside of Vienna? I also clicked on the link on your site. Are you in the Home Theater business?
  13. I thought this was funny--Stole it from bs & maxg So, I'm out shopping with my daughter for toys and we are staring at the Barbie display. Thousands of Barbies as far as the eye can see - there's airline barbie, travel agent barbie, nurse barbie, horse riding barbie, camping barbie, school teacher barbie, pilot barbie and about a million others. Some are collectors versions and cost up to $75 each - nuts man!! Anyway right at the end of the line of Barbies is one all on its own. And how much is that one? $275!!! WTF? Why? That's divorced Barbie! Comes with Ken's car, Ken's horse, Ken's Stereo, Ken's house, Ken's boat....
  14. A bookcase seems to help my situation and I already had the books there.
  15. ---------------- On 8/3/2005 9:34:51 PM wstrickland1 wrote: I said the Heresys ate the RF 7s for lunch, not my KLF 30s Billy ---------------- FWIW--It's always good to put IMO, before a comment like that. It's not that I'm thin skinned but others don't take it so well. The Legend series are nice speakers as well. I was hoping you would trade them for a pair of Heresy's, but you are right in not accepting, IMHO

BTW: Kevin VERY Nice set-up.
  17. Klipsch makes great speakers. The only boneheads are the ones that insist there is a competition. I have seen some posts by Reference "Boneheads" as well.
  18. Well Kev, I am also looking for another pair of RF-7's. Would YOU be willing to trade a pair of yours for a set of Heresy's? Of course I need to find them first. {edit: BTW, those gray things aren't supposed to stay on the speaker}
  19. Jeez!!! I log on here to see if the original poster had let on where he got the RF-7's for $1200 and I find a flame war. We all have our opinions. I heard a 5.1 Cornwall system this weekend that sounded GREAT! I wouldn't trade my Reference system for it. Insofar as wstrickland1's comment about the Heresys eating the RF-7's for lunch--Interesting. I also have a legend system with 20's as mains and I am looking for a pair of KLF 30's to put in that room and move the 20's to side surrounds. If I find a pair of Heresys would you be willing to trade for your KLF 30's?
  20. Welcome to the forum Tony. I would mount them to a piece(s) of wood at the angle you want and then mount the wood to the wall.

I bet I can name the place. Nothing like sipping a few Rugenbrau's with the Aussies I have been a dozen times since my "once in a lifetime" backpacking trip. {edit: after some reflection and looking at my photo albums, it has only been 7 times since the first trip}

  23. Sorry for butchering your language I lived in Bad Godesberg, Germany for 4 years as a youth. My father worked at the Embassy in Bonn. I try to make it back to Europe twice a year--since the fall of the $$$ I haven't been in a year and a half, but plan on a trip this fall. I think the wife and I are going back to Interlaken Switzerland, in the Junfrau region. That is the most beautiful place on earth, IMO. Austria is one of the few countries I haven't been too that I want to visit. It definitely is going to be on a future Itinerary.
