  1. Thanks everyone, really love them, should be great weekend. Jetsnake, I fly for AC and its CRj900 cockpit!!...fun, fun,fun...
  2. Hi there, check out the Epson cinema 550 or 400(new model) $1599 list. rave reviews on line anywhere and a great warranty to boot. have fun
  3. Hi all, just wanted to say I got my new RF83' today. All I can say is yee haa, these babies rock. I can tell they are still tight and need some break in but right of the box they sound fantstic. put on Eric Clapton One More Car, One More Rider, holy shmokes..friggin awesome, btw, SQ on this DVD is to die for. Also the woodwork on the cabinets is second to none, gorgeous I tell you. Can't wait till tomorrow and really let these girls rip when no one is home. So far i have dropped about 6-8 slots on the db on my receiver compared to my Mirage OM260, gotta love how efficient these girls are! Suspect it will get better as they get broken in. Kudos to Klipsch for such a fine job and a great product, they should be proud. Never lookin back, love Klipsch, Sonic Bliss Jet Jock...night all.
  4. Hey, I love Klipsch, but you can't beat the Pw2200 subs....period...ohhhh..it the PW2100 sounds as good but tighter, give me a break and loosen up on the wallet!!
  5. Look no further, Paradigm PW2200...goes way down aaaaand loud and kicks *** big time and only for $900 CAD, lovely tone too!
  6. Hello ladies and gents, I am ready to take the plunge and buy my new Klipsch floortanders. After reading the power amplification speaker matching segment on the Klipsch website i would like to make sure i am ok with my receiver. They refer to possible clipping and speaker damage. I am not a newbie at HT but I thought i would be able to hear this as distortion? I have a Yamaha RX-v2500 rated at 130 watts RMS, dedicated HT @ 25x15.5' and studio like soundproofing..almost anyway..). Will the Rf83,63,82,62 be the best bet? I listen to alot of music(concerts) and movies, 50/50 at moderate to loud settings. I don't have an spl meter, yet! but depending on the DVD recording levels anywhere from -14 to -06 on the volume setting with bass/treble set at 0 or midrange. Subwoofage from paradigm pw2200 400 RMS. RC62 center, not concerned with timber matching, will upgrade to RC64 if required> Thanks a bunch guys and gals, please help, I want to buy these babies on Thursday 26th!!

  8. Weird, Pulse doesn't sound that great, its ok but not great on my system, must be those crappy Mirages[]
  9. Oldenough, hi there. That looks like an awesome cozy little space to hang out in. Whats that thing with the wheels on it? LOL..just kiddin, i'm 46 and remember well! Enjoy!
  10. Raider, First of all, thank you so much for the detailed comparison and secondly hello, nice to meet you. Wow, i am so impressed with some of the folks on this forum, really an invaluable resource. There I was ready to go and buy the 83's...and now look what you done..lol. I guess i just have to have a listen, problem is my local dealer doesn't stock the 82 or 63 so i will have to make a road trip. I just thought that the 83's would be the best bet but perhaps not. I do love the Klipsch sound( some say in your face) but to me its just crystal clear sonic bliss and thats just from the addition of the RC62. My HT is 15.5'x 25' and dedicated so the porting and distance from the wall is no problem at all. The Om260's i have now are the Omnidirectional designs from Mirage and need to be no where near a wall so this is an improvement for me. Not to mention they are very power hungry and suck the juice from the Yammy at loud levels( inefficient). Anyway, thanks again. p.s. any other folks with RF63's or RF82's, love to hear your thoughts.
  11. Ok, never mind, lol. after some more research i figured it out, the Rf63 are after the RF83 in the lineup and the Rf82 have the smaller horn , less efficent etc. I was wondering if could save a few bucks , but screw it, i'm going all the wayyyyyy...RF83 or bust!
  12. Hey Indy, i actually do fly into Indy, not sure if we have any overnights though, will have to check, if thats an invite?..LOL
  13. Just wanted to say how friggin awesome your Ht is, you should be very proud.
  14. Hey DrWho, thanks for responding. I was kinda wondering about that. You are most likely correct about them not stocking the 82. I'm gonna have to find another dealer who has em i guess. I'm like a kid at Xmas, can't friggin wait to get them. Oh, and yes i sure do the 6.1 thing, my subwoofing is in very capable hands with a brand new Paradigm PW2200.
  15. Yamaha make fine receivers, enjoy! I have the RX-V2500 which i stole for $930 Canadian plus all the taxes of course. Love it, never frets and i play it loud. Funny thing though, i never heard the fan come on before i bought my new RC-62 Centre. Guess the old Mirage just didn't draw any juice, it sure didn't output much, LOL.
  16. Hi Indy , just wanted to say that you have a wicked setup, good for you! Just wish i could hear it.
  17. Hey folks, I was wondering how the RF83 compare to the RF82 , is there a huge difference? Reason i ask is my local dealer doesn't stock the RF82. Thanks alot.
  18. Thanks guys, nice to be here. Arky, I am a pilot for Air Canada. Looking forward to visting here often and letting you all know how my upgrades go. Right now i can't decide whether to get my RF-83 or my new projector first???...i would rather the speakers but my kids want the big screen.
  19. hi folks, Eric Clapton, One more car, One more rider is friggin awesome, sound and video, great use of center channel in DTS and DD. I think its better than Hell freezes over. Some other notables of mine are Eagles, Hell Freezes Over Eagles, Farewell1 tour, great sound and video and fantastic content and almost 3 hours long. FleetwoodMac The Dance AC/DC Stiff Upper Lip Tour, amazing sound in DD and DTS Have about 30 others too but for sound quality the are no where near these.

    Hi all

Hi all, i am a newb here, just purchased my first Klipsch Speaker a few weeks ago (RC-62). All i have to say is holy crap! I am sold on klipsch and am now going to retire my Mirage OM260 to rear channel duties where I think it will do a much better job. I am now planning on getting the RF-83 to rock my HT and will see how the RC62 works with them, if required i will upgrade to RC64...drooling...LOL. I have a Yammy RXV 2500 and wondering if i will need a good 3 channel amp to do duty with those badboys? Thinking of an Anthem MCA30, would like at least 180 RMS per channel, any suggestions? And no i don't mean bryston sst6b, yikes, money!
