  13. No talk yet... The new year starts in March....you never know what the new years will bring.
  14. The THX line is not coming back to the USA. It was moved out of China into the USA for the first time. The entire line is built in Hope now and we have a hard time keeping up with demand...mostly due to the time it takes to get the China made parts that go into the product. It took the Hope team only a few days to find a better way to build the woofer cabinet....Terry W and the team are very good at what they do. Now we are moving the build of the Palladium line to Hope for the first time. The Pro product is taking off and we expect to see more and new products from the pro side.
  15. Have a look! http://www.ktbs.com/arklatex-made/30406762/detail.html
  16. You are seeing the DCR ( Direct Current Resistance) of the woofer. The meter can not read the HF part of the network or tweeter because it uses a battery to provide voltage to test with. The HF (high frequency) section of the network will not allow the DC to pass. Thus, you don't "see" it with the meter. I will say that you need to test the leads at the amp to make sure that you have no wire issues or speaker issues. The truth is, there is no such thing as a 8 Ohm speaker. The speaker in question will have an impedance range from about 4.5 - 50 Ohms depending on the frequency at which tested. We now use the work "compatible" when describing the speaker. Its more accurate. So, yes. The speaker is reading fine with 4.7 Ohms at 0 Hz Ohm and Hertz are both last names of the men that first understood how that all works.
  17. Wood product is built in Hope. THX U2, Heritage, Pro Cinema, Big Reference (RF-7 II is one of them) None of the plastic cabinet product is built in Hope.

  19. I am very pleased to announce that Amy Unger has been promoted to Web Marketing Manager effective immediately. She is responsible for the online marketing and social media efforts for the Klipsch Group brands globally. Amy has been at Klipsch for 11 years and is well regarded among everyone that works with her, internally and externally. Shes been the voice of the Klipsch brand since she started blogging and participating in the forum many years ago, as well as our presence on social networking sites......................................... Please join me in congratulating Amy on her new role. Its very well deserved............................................. Jill Escol Director of Marketing............................................................................ Amy was my first "Indy" employee to have worked with. She had just taken over the PC speaker support role when we started talking daily with her receiving box speaker questions and I was receiving ProMedia speaker questions. We worked through it and have some funny stories to prove it. .............................. Trey....................................... Congratulations my friend!
  20. You need to get them out of the south...it is duck season down there.
  21. FYI: we hate the word 'nominal" as it applies to Z. That is why we add "compatible" to the words.
  22. Vibrations (1996 movie) This thing is so cheezy, but it has Klipsch Pro speakers in it...close to the end. Mrs. Applegate is looking very good too. I found it on HULU plus....stereo, but you can sure test your sub with this one.
