  1. I have a set of ALK universials in a pair of belles and a set of Deang AA crossovers in Khorns. Can I switch out the ALK's and put them in the Khorns and then put the AA crossovers in the belles? I guess what I'm asking is, will the AA's work in the belles without any modifications.
  2. Here is a pic of the front half of the room.....................
  3. Khorns in same room, with HT mains (belles) inside of khorns. Agreed, no height to the system on the side and back surrounds. I guess I could wall mount the Forte's which are the back surrounds. Any suggestions on how to do this would be helpful. Does anyone make a bracket that would hold the weight of the Forte's?
  4. Thanks for the suggestions, for now I've gone with the belles as mains, cornwall for center, cornwall for side surrounds and forte's for back surrounds.
  5. Completion of my music/ht room is almost done. Flat panel tv to be installed tomarrow. My question is, Which would be the best way to setup my Heritage speakers for ht. I will have Khorns for 2 channel listening only. I was planning on using my belles as mains for ht, a forte for center and 2 sets of cornwall ll's for surrounds or should I use 3 of the cornwalls up front (mainL, center, mainR) and use the belles/fortes for surrounds? If I use the latter setup, what could I use the extra cornwall for? Any and all comments would be appreciated.
  6. Duke, When did you live in Abilene? I was born and raised in that town, finally made my getaway about 15 years ago. Were you in the military (Dyess AFB)?
  7. If you want great tasting food, wood is the way to go! Mesquite and Pecan are great cooking woods.
  8. If your not very good at diy stuff you might also check out this site, corefurniture.com. I purchased 4 of their QRD's. Arnold at Core is a great person to work with and they packed (double boxed) and shipped very quickly. Quality product at a reasonable price as well.
  9. I'm bust here as well, was really on planning to go this year, but, still have construction going on (my heritage room) and just picked up a two pair of cornwalls, so maybe...............next year. Safe traveling to you and everyone esle making the trip!
  10. Just scored two pairs of WO cornwall II's, one owner, picking up tomarrow. Heritage surround sound almost complete!! Khorns for two channel. Belles, Forte' I and now two sets of corwalls. Giving my better half the Kg4's and 2's for her use. Now on the search for a center channel, any suggestions?
  11. I love my belles!!! To get the low end I just added a couple of subwoofers one for each belle...........no problem with the low end now, sounds great!!
  12. Travis, So sorry to hear about your loss. Malcom was a huge but very gentle dog. After picking up the Khorns from you, back in April, my granddaughter talked about him for weeks. It's very hard to loose a friend like that. Once again, sorry to hear about your loss. Wayne
  13. Everything Mark said is so true, very good cdp!!! I upgraded to the Apollo two months ago from an old yamaha 5 disc changer and the difference was amazing!! You will enjoy!!!
  14. Dr Who, Thanks for your suggestions, I do appreciate it. Helmholtz Resonators inbetween the studs? How would one do this?
  15. Only two walls of the room have been sheet rocked, still have two walls left and the ceiling. No flooring has been laid (still concrete). So I should be taking measurements in the room even though the consturction phase of the room is not complete?
  16. I think it would be kinda pointless to take measurments in a half sheet rocked room................
  17. This is a very good show, have seen it several times and am watching again!!
  18. Dr. Who, I would be willing to do this once the project is complete. Where or who would I contact to get what I would need to measure the acoustics in a room?
  19. Some entertaining will be done, but mostly for myself. Flat screen between 48" but no larger than 52". Would be using a couch. If I used the short wall, like you said, it would give me an option of adding another row of seats. My inital thought was the same (trying both ways) and see what sounds best. If I used the short wall, what kind of sound treatment would be necessary for this room size?
  20. I'm in the process of remodeling the garage for a dedicated listening/ tv sports watching room. (85% music 15% tv sports). The room is about 30' x 18' 5" with a ceiling height of 8' 4". So would like to place speakers for the optimal music listening position. I will be using Khorns and Belles for music(using other klipsch speakers for tv listening). So my question is ............. should I place the khorns on the long or short wall? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
  21. IMHO, as a true music lover, as I know you are as well. I would opt for the opening and enjoying of a true legend. But that's just my opinion!! By the way, Khorns are sounding utterly fantastic [Y] and rose bushes are waiting to be planted . Have a wonderful listening evening, I am!!
  22. Since I've only had my blueberry for several months I'm still running the stock tubes that it arrived with. My question is ...........those of you that have had them for awhile, what tubes have you been using stock/or something different?
  23. Rudy, If you don't mind me asking.............What do you construct your false wall of?
