  1. I have an MX-1000 and found a lot of good info on remotecentral.com. Here is a search on thier forums for the MX-500 http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/forums/search.cgi?sid=68461
  2. Those split La Scalas are beautiful! How old are they?
  3. Thanks for all the responses! I had no clue there were so many split La Scala models. Per the owner these don't have any model numbers on them but serial numbers are 2360 and 2334 for the tops, and 2196 and 2221 for the bottoms. Is there any way to determine their age? The tweeters are K-77M and one is not working. What is a reasonable price for these?
  4. I'm looking at a pair of split La Scalas, the owner says they are wood but the research I've done looks like most are fiberglass. Did they come in wood or fiberglass? Are they all LSI's? I'm waiting on a call back from the owner and better pictures. Here's a picture.
  5. I have two left. I'm interested in one of these if you have any left, I sent you an email.
  6. It shows as back ordered but I bought one anyhow.
  7. Awesome amp! I'm going to build my first amp this summer.
  8. The KLF-10 is an amazing speaker with really good bass. Your uncle got a very good deal! The Denon has 100 watts which is way more than enough to drive the KLF-10's. Welcome to the forum.
  9. Budman, thanks for the response. I see you live in Cincinnati, I grew up there, my family still lives there. I've seen picturesof your rambling rose Cornwall's, very nice!
  10. I have a pair of Heresy II's that need new grills and badges, will the grill from an original Heresy fit on my Heresy II's?
  11. That's funny! Was it Ripple or Thunderbird, for some reason I can't remember?
  12. I've got a 62" Mitsubishi DLP. I've used the Omnimount CCH1 shelf with a KLF-C7. The shelf is very adjustable for use with DLP's with a steep slope to the back panel. http://www.omnimount.com/consumer/product.aspx?ProductId=ad90ae4a-a012-47db-9bdb-1c3318a4fdf9&CurrentId=8.5.1
  13. Here's a link to the magic decoder ring: http://home.earthlink.net/~ivol/klipsch_cornwall/klipsch_date_codes.htm
  14. I'm bumping an old thread looking for some assistance. I'm putting together a bedroom surround system using KG 2.5's for the fronts, KG 1's for the rears and a KG 2.2 for the center. The KG 2.2 is not a V version so it is not shielded. I'd like to convert my KG 2.2 to a KG 2.2V with bucking magnets. It is causing minor distortion on my 32" tube TV. I have done some searching on the forum. This thread states that Klipsch support no longer carries the bucking magnets for the KG 2.2 and states that the bucking magnets required are 14 oz for the woofers and 2.8 oz for the tweeter. I looked on Parts Express, the only bucking magnet they have at this time is a 3.5 oz. Does anyone know where I can get bucking magnets for my KG 2.2, or know of another way to accomplish the same thing?
  15. No forum emails here for nearly a week, thought it was just me.
  16. Rick, they are standard LS-BR raw birch. It looks like the original owner did a fairly poor job of staining them, then put some clear over that.
  17. I picked up a pair of LS-BR La Scalas today at an incredible price. They have been stained a darker color and will need some repair to the wood, not bad for 32 year old speakers. I'll need to decide if I just want to use them as they are, reveneer them, or do the bondo and paint method. At least for a while I'll just enjoy them if I can find room to bring them in the house.
  18. Thanks for the response! I had the amp sent to a friend of mine who has fixed lots of tube gear in the past. He looked at it this weekend and believes that he can fix it for $15 in parts from Parts Express. He said a few parts were blown in the power supply circuit probably from a mains power surge. Hopefully he is right. I bought this last weekend on Ebay with a $1 Buy It Now. So far I spent $31 in shipping to get it to my friend who is fixing it. Could be quite the deal if he can.
  19. I recently bought a Jolida JD 1701 that is supposedly blowing the fuse on power up. I sent an email to Jolida support a week ago with no response yet trying to buy a manual and a schematic. I've not tried to call them yet. Does anybody have a manaul? Also what is the difference between the 1701 and the 1701A?
  20. If you still have the Scott can you send me an email with more info on it's condition and additional pictures if you have them?
  21. Thanks for the quick response! Was this done with any of the available types of wood? Has anyone had experience trying to refinish a set of these without reveneering?
