  1. If you are getting close to the perfect state, leaving well enough alone, may be the answer, if possible Joe! The journey is just getting started or, it is ending, lol!
  2. Thanks billybob... He was just such a nice young guy, and both his friends that came out with him were also very nice. and I tell ya this old Honda was still a great old car for the money. He really liked it. It came with great tunes in it, good tires, and till the day I sold it it drove great...... but chitt does happen... like I said I just had to make him whole. MKP :-) I hear you! Dealing with a young man now on a CL deal for a car. Minor oil leak. Says it should go 250 miles back here, no problem. Oil leaks, however minor, worry me with a Volvo so, proceeding with caution. Will deal with him appropriately. Like to think a young senior like me needs set a good example, like you are doing. That Kharma thing is one thing but, what goes around, and treating people like you would like to be treated, is real for me. When you are young with limited funds, the idea of someone treating him fairly, beyond "as is" will stay with the young gentleman for a lifetime. Nice form!
  3. You can fool some of the people some of the time but, not all of the people all of the time.
  4. Thanks sounds like you MKP! Really decent of you. Thinking I would do similar.
  5. Dang Tarheel, that is too shiny to look at...good job...
  6. Yep, calling for another...be back soon,lolol!
  7. Just popped a top on a Beck's Sapphire German Sapphire Hops. Last of a six had leftover to try after about finishing mowing just now. It will call for another but, may be finished for the day. Unless I take a ride. Try not to get 3 sails in the wind on Friday nights, as weekend job of driving. Tastes a bit like Strohs, which was an amber beer tasting similar to this flavor of Becks. Never really cared for Stoh's,even on tap if history is the same. Was like getting a bad beer(oyster) many years ago, when I drank daily, at the time. Anyway, maybe one won't make me sick, lol! Think they about tripped me after boilermaking with my friend's diet beer and his cheap-arse liquors a couple of Fridays ago. When I used to drink beer daily never really had a hangover, but now... Guess I bullet pointed this, lol!
  8. Congrats to you all with the good news, etc. Mystery Space Theatre 2000 was the name of the show where I saw Crow first time and his sidekick(s)(?) Probably on youtube, showed old b scif-fi movies on /Sat mornings, early 2000's. On the old Sci-Fi channel. Got a 3.5mm to go from dell to Marantz in stereo. Now that all 4 speakers working. Nancy has not absorbed that yet, sounding much more like it than mono.,lol. All she has done basically is watch Netflix practically non-stop. first near all eposodes of Xena, and now for the last few days, Enterprise. It is like she is glued to her couches...great I say. May have to use preouts to sub for the 5.1 I have in place. Work in progress, until nirvana will be nearer. It is like I became near invisible...cool beans! May have landed another Volvo , this one for me, used. Need more punishment, I guess...reading all but, no time to respond yet. Yep, the stones for sure Steve. May have been their 1st farewell tour, lol!
  9. Originally thinking to the 17th from my source. Would be nice if weekend opened up some. Lie on your back but, no drinking
  10. did not see the peak date but expect to see a few on my job this weekend. Keep looking. Recalled being outside for some reason a few years back. As recall(?) they appeared to be coming from our south goin near due north. They were numerous and appeared to be just coming in from that general direction like white tracers being fired at me, but passing over my head, of course. Well worth it. The peak is best Keep looking up, or better yet, lie down in close to near dark as civilization allows. No drinking though!
  11. Saw the Stones there in 74. Hot show, hot weather. Billy Preston and Ron Wood was with them, as may recall. Could have been Taylor instead of Wood.
  12. Thanks for the input! OP gave it a good shot at.
  13. Yes, not funny! Unfortunate you are having this problem. Wonder what can be done. Modding port may be too much to do. And how to do. What say you Carl?
  14. Mine does not chuff. It is up to snuff! Tuned to stock plate is enuff! Enjoy, lol
  15. Sounds smooth as silk with that aging! Me either coinwise...
  16. An acquired taste scotch. Must have been a good genuine single malt. I acquired taste while drinking it years ago.
  17. Yes make sure it is sealed. Thinking it was 250 watts before your replacement. Gentleman you are speaking to with the Rottweiler avatar is more knowledgeable than I by eons, I will continue to follow.
  18. Dizrotus, a member here has , as well as others posted topics on record cleaning in the archive still. Just use searchwords in the search forum feature of page. Reams of info sometimes...glad you like you Corns...
  19. And SORRY op, I see you are here now, to begin with. The sub is ported out of the front top, as may recall. Have you made certain that your plate amp seal is tight? If so, I would turn up the volume to a moderate level and try to dial out or minimize the sound/noise you are hearing. When you turn down the volume to a more appropriate volume level, you may find the sound better. That is, the noise level following the volume down a bit. Hope this helps in your search. Above post opinion may come into it as well. Let us know please.
  20. I would post a topic about it in the subwoofer section, just to see other's opinion. There is some keywords like RW-10D or chuffing that may give a result also in the search function. Good fortune!
