  1. I'm thinking that also...seems like they sold about 15 minutes after I started this thread here......hmmmm?
  2. I was very tempted to buy those!!!! Very! But I fell into an auction for a pair of K-horn Decorators that were at $288 dollars. I put in a bid for $500 (I had the highest bid) and my bid was cancelled this morning - and I have great feedback on Ebay, so that wasn't the issue. I believe the seller was just feeling things out and withdrew their auction.

  4. Let patience have her perfect work
  5. The Carver Sonic Hologram generator worked fantastically......if you held your head in the right place and kept it there!!!! You also had to set it up right to begin with.
  6. Naw - those badges are from the 70's
  7. I tried playing The Last Witchhunter 4K UHD bluray movie with DTS X today and I wasn't impressed at all. My Yamaha receiver didn't have a clue how to decode the data and just shoved 4 channels into the side surrounds. It was quite annoying to say the least. Yes I have the latest firmware update for the Yamaha RX-A3050 as well. Their seems to be lots of bugs they will have to sort out for this new technology to make me a believer.. Still on of the best movies I've seen thus far has been on a normal bluray which happened to be the newest Starwars movie which came out last month which I believe was recorded in DTS 7.1 master HD ? I don't have Atmos or DTS-X. However I find that the proprietary mode (not DSU or Neureal-X) does a great job of placing sounds where they should be. I'm running 13 speakers as well (two front presence, 4 rear presence, 2 back surrounds and 2 side surrounds - besides my LCR and subs). My question is more toward the HD3 DSP modes not the DTS-X or Atmos decoding. The Star Wars movie was extremely immersive using the Adventure DSP mode and HD3 processing. Master and Commander, Brave, 9, and the Revenant are also very immersive as well! I'm beginning to wonder if I should even go Atmos at all - seeing that I'm satisfied with HD3. Some people have stated that the best upmixers are Auro 3D and Yamaha's proprietary HD3 - with DSU being right there.
  8. Not saying that Atmos is going to be UHD BD exclusive - but it seems like they've stopped putting Atmos on new releases...unless they are UHD.
  9. I've tried it and I'm a total fan! On some forums, people prefer HD3 to DSU. I know that Atmos and DTS-X are the real deal, however I'm very content and satisfied with Yamaha's 3D tech. You have to tweak it, but it's very tweak-able! I think this will tie me over for quite a while - especially if Atmos is going UHD BD exclusive.
  10. Just called!!! Yes he sold them - he said the ad should have been taken down by now. I was jumping on these when I first heard about them, someone just beat me to them.
  11. I called on those a while back and the said he had them sold!!????
  12. If you are custom building a compartment for it - why would you want to lay it on its side?
  13. A third Heresy III - nothing better than that!!!!!
  14. I want to hear that. I bought it from Barnes and Noble - I've gotten several recordings from them that I couldn't find anywhere else!!!
  15. Didn't see the pictures without the covers - yep you're right.....not Klipsch - tweeter and Mid range in the wrong place. Mod's please delete this.
  16. Not affiliated - but if this is real - that's a great deal!!! https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ele/5545784939.html
  17. Very, very, very clean - however - He still needs to enter that room to put his blu-rays into the Panasonic....right? I was expecting to see some type of server back there.
  18. I have the RX-A3020, all I have to do is: 1. run YPAO (I run it for measurements and for angle) 2. Save measurements 3. Go into manual 4. Go in to the speaker configuration and change everything to small - YPAO makes my LCR and surrounds Large. 5. Set all of my speaker crossovers to 80hz That's it - it keeps my settings after that.
  19. I'd go vertical if I were to use three MTM type center channels. I used to run three Heresy speakers up front. Now I run 2 Cornwalls and a vertical Cornwall as a center channel. I use Yamaha's shift feature to raise the center channel higher - gives me perfect pans across the front.
  20. Did you get your sticker? I've got my pic
  21. They were originally KH-BR (I believe that's Birch Raw). If he used Minwax - they wont strip easily at all. Your looking at a total refinishing. Well, at least they're not walnut or some other nice hard wood!!!
  22. I have Dave Brubeck's "best of" CD...and yes I can pick up each instrument exactly were they are located. Everything is not just in the middle.
  23. @A1UC Do you have a diagram of your room?
