  1. BUMP. Price has been reduced. Only the Marantz monoblock and parasound preamp available. Alex
  2. When did you send him the message? If he has not responded maybe he hasnt read the messahe yet? Sometimes i have to wait a few days before someone responds to a message... You can go ahead and make your offer if you really want them before they sell. GL Alex
  3. Bump Pioneer and 2 marantz mono blocks have been sold locally. Everything else remains and must be sold. Thank you, Alex
  4. I will post pics of the Marantz ma-700 mono blocks tomorrow. The original boxes are in my parents attic and i need to bring them down.
  5. Parasound back. The small scratches are visible now in the pic. If you would like more pics please lmk. Scratches are honestly not that bad, they look worst in the pic and with the light flashing on it. If amp racked wont be visible, front face plate as can be seen in pic looks mint.
  6. As always, i appreciate it Bill. If i drive north enough to meet someone i might just pay a little visit to Kissimmee Alex

  8. This is just rough pic when i finished building the shelf. Still need to hide wires and clean up.
  9. Alex, You give my baby some good love now. I contemplated buying the 2252B back from him a few months ago but decided I really had too much gear and was very pleased with the way my Integra DTM-40.4 sounded with my Heresys. Enjoy it. Bill Yes that marantz is getting plenty of love, believe me I had the heresy's in the closet collecting dust now there in my room singing. To think i actually doubted them Alex
  10. I got the Marantz and hooked it up to a pair of heresy II in my bedroom. The marantz sounds unbelievably amazing. Nice sweet sound, full tight bass, i cant get enough. I have bought from Michael before and again now, he is a great guy to deal with and buy with confidence. Alex
  11. As far as i know the difference with the w7 and w7AE is purely cosmetic. http://www.jlaudio.com/car-audio-subwoofer-drivers-w7ae What exactly is your budget? How much space do you have for enclosure? The w7 is a GREAT subwoofer. However what you get for what you pay i personally dont think it is worth it. You have more options with same performance for less $. IDMAX great sq sub. FI sub never played with. Dayton subs are great and very cost effective. If you have the space this would be a great option. LMS ultra another great option but also close to 1000$ I personally like stereointegrity. http://stereointegrity.com/index.php?id=57 Check out there HT subs. Go dual subs, 15" or 18" whatever you can fit and i think it is your best bang for your buck. Cant be beat in sheer sq, spl, low end extension for $, IMO. If you have the space the 24" sub is another option Good luck, Alex
  12. I called and spoke to the man. Very nice. I told him i would drive up from miami and he lowered the price 100$. This would be great in the middle of my khorns but right now is not a good time for me. He says yes he has pics of the 2 speakers but obviously only one is for sale and is 100% fully functional. For 250$ someone needs to take this...
  13. These are great speakers at a great price. If you just lived a little closer i would totally take a trip to pick these bad boys up.
  14. I really really do appreciate all the help and advice you guys are giving me. To be honest i think i might be a little intimidated by these tube amps. I have never owned one, i dont know anyone that has owned one. Quickly; i listen to a wide range of music including house/techno, hip hop, r&b, spanish, country and even throw parties at my house so i crank the speakers pretty often. Right now i am using a pair of marantz ma-700's with a pioneer receiver as pre and khorns sound good but the highs are harsh and bright when i crank them and i know i can do better SQ wise. I know i have much research to do. I am very very interested in these tube amps. I know whatever amp will probably not be the last amp i purchase for the khorns but i do want to purchase the best i can within my budget. I have been looking at a B&K m-200 which is suppost to be very warm sounding like a tube. I would also love a mcintosh. I know its over kill, but i also really likes the reveiws for the adcom gfs-565 monos. Thoughts? Honestly i am a little worried the tube amps wont give me the "sound" i am looking for. I do want and like the warm sound but i want the music to have power, detail, sound real, and a clean tight low end and able to play loud while staying clean with no harshness or shrill on high end while playing at high volumes. This is what i really want. Thank you so much, Alex
  15. It does have a x-curve which i have messed around with. The highs sounds good. Just when passes say 60% of volume highs start getting rather harsh, the louder the harsher. I will try messing around with the MCACC. Thank you
  16. I have done my research and have not really found my exact answer or i guess what i want to hear. Right now i am running a pair of khorns with a pair of marantz ma-700 using a pioneer vsx-1017AV as my pre amp. The khorns sound fantastic. They have upgraded crites tweeter and new crossovers. They are from 1987.At higher volumes they do get harsh and grainy. I also know i can do better, sq wise than what i currently have to power the speakers. FYI, i also have a thtlp sub. I listen to a wide range of music including spanish, hip hop, house/techno, country music. I mostly listen at moderate listening levels but i do throw parties at my house so i do crank them often.I am looking for new preamp and amp options. This is my 2 channel stereo but i also have my tv hooked up and use it as 2 channel HT (I do plan on eventually running 3 channel and eventually 5 channel HT.) I do use hdmi so i need to have at least a few hdmi in and out. I am in the market for a new preamp and amp. I have been looking at a pair of adcom gfa-565’s, a pair of b&k m-200’s I have read some of the pro qsx amps work good for the khorns. I would really love a krell ksa 100 or a mcintosh amp but out of my price range. These are just ideas. I know some of these amps are way too much power but I don’t mind having the extra power on tap. I don’t think I want to go the tube route. I am open to all suggestions on amp and pre amp. I would like to keep it to under 1000 for both but willing to break budget just a little if I must. I am buying used. Thanks in advance for all the help,Alex
  17. I am looking for a suitable amp and preamp for my khorns in the 1000 price range. LMK what you got!? Thank you, Alex
