Shouldn't we be seeing updates by now?
You have your 5 gallon bucket of glue and 85 clamps ready to roll?
Have you lined up extra sets of hands as well?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I love build threads.
Got my popcorn ready.
Update: I'm waiting on everything to arrive. I should see the driver and flat packs next week and glue/clamps/fasteners are always in the shop. Forks on the skid-steer will get them off the truck and into mine and I'm set up to handle it from there, at least until it's all assembled, which is when I'm going to need a couple other bodies to get it off the work platform and down on it's wheels (yes, it will have casters on it) Promise I will start a new thread when pieces start arriving so I can get nagged about when I'm going to be done. LOL
It's about 40 miles more for me to come through and pick you up so you can help unload in Hope.

I'm a BB guy 100% and have been for quite a few years. Probably used 40-50 sheets in the last 5 or so and yes, I've had some mineral streaks, pin knots and a football fill in here or there, but the overall quality of the materials have been great. Can't wait to get started on the build and it will be nice for a change to have all the parts cut and ready to assemble. Honestly, it's not worth my time on this build to do that part myself and the communication and support to this point has been stellar. No regrets at all. If you can ship to a business with loading dock/forks, and order multiple packs, you can greatly reduce the shipping costs. @LTD02 appreciate the information behind the design and modelling. I'm really looking forward to hearing one.

You could probably have 2 of these for the price of an 1802. I'd live to hear a side by side comparison.
I'm sure @diamonddelts will chime in with that direct comparison. I'm very curious as well. Who do we know that has an 1802 and can haul it to Hope?
-
No problem at all.

Actually, when I get to @CECAA850 place right before SWAG, we can run it there against a 684 and I will do a little comparison prior to leaving, if given enough time.
-
I will start a build thread when all the parts arrive and lay it all out there. When I take it to SWAG in September, that's when we can get subjective listening and measurement data against some others and see.

The 25 year old female bar tender would seem so confused...........
Maybe it was just a ploy to keep her in front of you for a longer period of time?

Me too. I'm not leaving my granddaughter for anything. That doesn't mean i'm not going to continue to convince her parents to move. LOL

Zero benefits of an actual horn for one and its a dual reflex bandpass design if you were wondering.
So what? I wasn't. Have you ever actually heard one or own one? I don't understand people that have to attempt to throw negative light on something without data or experience. I am not affected when people like you do these types of things, because I really don't care what you think, but there are people that may take that type of negative BS to heart, so maybe a little more thinking is in order before you post things.

Just got an email from Kevin at GSG and the Devastator flat packs will be on a truck today.

Advertised as a horn and later called a ported horn and is neither.
This is wrong any way you spin it.
And what does that have to do with the performance of the sub?

False advertisement, would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.
What is?

I hope you get something worked out Eric. If you end up driving, it would be great to pick up someone from the area or on the way to make the drive better for you. I'm looking at 1,300 miles myself, not as far as you, but it's a long ride.
Hopefully, I will have something done to add to the list of gear.

Oops! I spoke too fast and assumed too much. Delivery now slated for 17th.
Sure it is. 😒
Maybe I missed it, but was a delivery date part of the sales transaction? If it was, it may not be too late to cancel it out and but them from someone else.
-
Kevin over at GSG sent these to me yesterday. Great customer service for certain. Hopefully, I'll get them and have time to finish one of them for SWAG in September.
