@Pete H Hi Pete ... hope you are well.   How is the bourbon flowing in Ohio?  Carl recently teased me with photos of his vast collection. Hope you and your family are staying safe and may 2021 be more enjoyable for us all.

Doing fine, recovering from shoulder surgery and things are busy.  As for bourbon, none of us seem to have the access to bourbon that Carl does, but I have a few bottles of Taylor set back and Mr. bourbon has assisted in finding some good selections that are readily available and don't break the bank.  I hope 2021 is better for all as well, and that we can have another audio gathering and you can attend.

but @Pete H let me enlighten you.

Don't need enlightened, I watched the game and though you may have seen it as all the things Clemson did wrong, I'm not sure anyone but a Clemson fan would have seen it that way versus the reality of OSU playing the best game they've played all year and possibly, in the last decade.  You must not really watch OSU, and while I'm not an OSU or Clemson fan, I watched the majority of their games as well.  Curious as to how others viewed the game because it seems like we watched 2 different ones.

  3. Never thought Ohio State could get their crap together to hammer Clemson the way they did.  By far, the best overall performance in all 3 phases of the game that I've ever seen Ohio State play.  Talk about shocking, I don't think any OSU fan even expected that.  Incredible performance.

does the trojan soldier still ride around inside the stadium on the white Arabian horse?

I don't thing you're allowed to refer to it as a white Arabian horse anymore, maybe lighter colored horse?  LOL

And here I always thought good rap music was an oxymoron.

You need to come clean C, and tell everyone about how often you play downtown.😂

  6. Very nice!  I really like the copper, but I'm kind of a copper freak.  LOL  I'm sure they sound superb and I'll bet you will be glad to have them final placed and done with the work part of it.  You have many hours into this build, and it shows.

Florida played a pretty tough game last night. Hadn't seen them at all (not like living down there and that's all you get) but they made it a game!

Now I'm wondering what it will be like if Jimbo Fisher gets his way, he's the only one that made a good point to me about getting in.

    Anything goes!

    it's still 2020:dry:

They did.  I wish that the Clemson game would have been a better showing by the Irish, but Clemson looked much better prepared.

  8. One more year there will be controversy surrounding who doesn't get a shot, number of games played.  In the end it will be another Clemson/Bama championship and that's not necessarily a bad thing.  Would love to see Cincinnati get a shot at one of the top teams, but that's not going to happen.  Would have been the perfect year to try expanding it to 8 teams.

Any sub you could sit the CW IV on top of would place the speaker way above the optimum listening height. I would not consider that option.

Not necessarily.  A low profile folded or tapped horn utilizing 8" drivers might work, and just like many floor standers have risers to angle speakers up, you can angle them down as well to achieve the desired result.

Depending on the room and furniture, maybe a larger horn sub that can do double duty as a piece of furniture could possibly work as well, or an IB setup, depending on whats above the ceiling, or below the floor.  Just thoughts.  When you get the green light for a purchase, you need to strike while the iron is hot.  LOL

Ok so due to lack of room for the Cornwall 4s I will be keeping my Fortes even though my wife gave me the green light to move up - I think the Fortes with my subwoofer will still sound better than just the Cornwalls without a sub and there is no way to fit that all in my small living room - Drat!!!!

    Moving right along!!!!

Can you look at subs that would sit under the C4's and not take up any additional floor space?

It is not just location, it has to be an area where several (many) members can bring some interesting and a variety of gear.

You had a good mix at SWAG, need that or more for NAG.

Hint: you need to be near Pete.

If it's a days drive with equipment, great, if not, you are correct, and it would rely on other attendees bringing gear.  I really want to make sure that @Dave A can make it with the supers and other fun items to hear.  @rockhound @CECAA850 @Seadog also brought gear, so with a handfull of attendees bringing things, it can amount to a lot of rigs.  Honestly, we didn't even play with all of it.  Switching of speakers and gear will be a lot more organized for #2, but it all worked out.
