  1. You may want to re-think the "Solid Oak". I know others will chime in here as well. Solid Wood shouldn't be used in Speaker Cabinet constrution due to the ever expanding and contracting properties of wood. Just my two cents worth. Good luck on your project.. Post plenty of pictures !!
  2. What (Year,Model) did you get ? I'm assuming you acquired Heresy 1. Post some pictures and the Serial Numbers. That would help in the discussion.
  3. I can't take Credit for these Files. They both were posted here on the Forum... Your friend should be able to remove the backs of the Heresy's and see what Drivers are currently installed. The crossovers may need refreshing if they are original 1984's. Hank
  4. To me it looks like they are 1984, Heresy I, Oak Veneer, Oiled.... Hope all this helps...
  5. OK, here's the Second one... klipsch SN Format.pdf
  6. Maybe these Documents will help you out.. These are PDF Files.. Hope you can open them. Klipsch Models and Specs.pdf
  7. I'd say upgrade the capacitors (Not really expensive). Bob Crites (BEC) on this forum can help you out with an upgrade kit. You could proceed from there.
  8. Ebay has several listings for Klipsch AW-400 Outdoor Reference Speakers. You may want to look at these. They are running for about $250.00 a pair.
  9. Is the Hummm coming from BOTH Speakers or just one ?? Have you switched the Left Speaker with the Right on the Amp ?
  10. Hey Matt, I'll give you a couple of Basics here. Example: A Living Room. Most of the time all the Outlets in the Room are connected to a Single 10 amp Circuit Breaker. Chances are, you're pulling Most of the Power from the Outlet where all your Electronics plugged into. I hope you are using a Surge Protector Power Strip and NOT a Cheap Multi-Plug Outlet extention ! If you use a Power Strip you should be OK. If your House is New, All the Breakers in the Breaker Box should be Labeled. (Example: Living Room). What you described should Not be pulling anywhere close to 10 Amps. Hankhank
  11. Something new.. Any info and sources would be welcome. Hank
  12. Are there any Midrange Horns available (Non-Klipsch) that have the same specs as the Heresy K-700 ? Thanks Hank
  13. Did you use a Router to Flush Mount the Horn Lens ? What procedure did you use ?? Nice job !
