For perfect mitered veneer corners, you can slightly overlap the two perpendicular pieces at the joint. Then I use a speed square and align the 45° side to the corner. Use a razor to cut through both layers at the same time. Remove scrap and you will have a perfect joint.

Use a razor blade as stated!  I don't know what I was thinking and used a box knife on one of my miters on a receiver cabinet which left a tiny gap.  Fill and stain made it disappear 95% but it's still noticeable.  I felt really stupid which is why you should never rush.

I joined this forum just to reply to this post. I am very interested and I am in Havelock 28532. What can we work out and possibly meet half way. Thank you for your time.

Yeah, I remember when I joined!  I had 2 pairs of Cornwalls a week later.  Hang around and we can help you spend your money.

While we're on the subject of 222's and tubes, OP, what tubes have you been rolling in and what do you think?

I had three good Telefunken tubes, and a few RCA 7189s laying around, both sounded nice. Teles we're nearly magic. But, I'm not made of money, so I changed the screen grids feeder resistor to somewhere around 3K and dropped the voltage there to about 320. JJ EL84 sound quite lovely with that change. The first quad went 14 months as my main stereo/theater amplifier until the rectifier blew. (New rectifier and a fuse got it back running, but I didn't want the renter's grubby hands on it.)

    Renter?

Nice landlord to provide vintage stereo equipment!

    Making Weed Infused Turkey

Legit dispensaries sell weed-infused edibles of all sorts of variety, so if you’re looking for a little bomb in your tom, chances are you can find somewhere that peddles it. But you can make your own too.

A recipe from the Baked Series gives you everything you need to make Thanksgiving dinner that is a real weed winner. The gist of the recipe is as follows:

    • Make butter infused with cannabis using water, unsalted butter, and ¼ ounce of marijuana. Make this in advance as it needs to cool overnight.
    • Create the marinade using your cannabis-infused butter from above, stock, maple syrup, lemon juice, salt and pepper, and garlic.
    • Rub the turkey down with cannabis-infused butter, salt and pepper then inject the marinade.
    • Cook the turkey as you normally would (i.e., in several long hours, it’ll be ready).

Maybe I'm missing something but wouldn't you smoke it after that?

  5. Started listening to the soundtrack... Great music destroyed by horrible remastering.   No dynamic range left at all.

I just don't get it.  Somebody got paid to do that!

I'll still go to the movie when I can though if I can make it while it is still in theaters.

Ill just kinda answer everyone’s questions at once. So I’m definitely a little older so what they now call classic country is my music choice for the most part and I do like 80’s pop music and the Heresys really shines  in everything thing I throw at them. Now I may be crazy but I’m also noticing that the more I use them the better they get. Could it be I’m just getting used to them or is there really a break in period

Yes, you have sufficiently been broken in.

I read the article and 1 thing strikes me as funny. The claim is super neutral ? The reviewer claims he is comparing the amp to others he has had with music he is accustomed to. It is BS to call the amp neutral as compared to A or B you can only call anything neutral if you were present at the master recording session and are comparing the product to that. But of course that brings up another whole pot of beans Musical Memory and all...............At 9-14K, The amp better be cooking breakfast every morning. Cost more than my whole system and I would bet it just sounds DIFFERENT when all is said and done, not necessarily better.

Neutral to me means that the equipment isn't calling attention to itself... gets out of the way of the music so to speak... not too warm and not too bright.  Of course, those are all just words that mean different things to different people.  If your amp is running hot enough to cook breakfast you might want to check the bias.   If your amp is actually cooking breakfast I'm thinking you might consider separates.  If you don't mind used I hear the Jetsons fired Rosie.

  8. I'm a little off topic but I recall hearing a french horn solo one evening (I'll eventually recall the ensemble) and the french horn was center stage as was I about 10 rows back... the sound was coming from stage right... FAR stage right.  The sound waves reaching me were mostly reflected from the direction the horn was pointing.  No point... just thought it was a cool experience.

Well someone on this forum has got a couple of "gently used" Jupiters in their equipment.  I was kidding and I did not mistreat them.  Would not do that.  But they are very heavy and well built.  What they did was make my equipment sound vintage.  Rolled off highs, huge mids.  Just not for me.  I could see how in the right system they could be enjoyed.  They were very clear sounding. :)

I've heard people comment "rolled off highs" a couple of times... not my experience at all but no one has offered any data to support either way... not that I care... We hear what we hear... maybe.
