  1. I'm the opposite. I find them beautiful and tend to treat them as prized furniture. Keep the slim neutered black things away, please.
  2. That's higher than I'm paying for premium here in The First State.
  3. Type your message in the compose field. Click options tab. Click add. Click browse. Click save, which may require scrolling the window horizontally. Click post. You can also embed images uploaded to external sources, like photobucket or imageshack.
  4. You are either deaf or lying if you claim you can't distinguish between Fortes, or whatever, and TV speakers.
  5. You hear a big difference between your center and surround speakers? When does this present itself such that you are irritated? Most people don't lose sleep over mismatched surrounds, and if you do, you obviously won't care for a mismatched front three. A nice Academy could pull in $300+.
  6. I have a lot of experience hearing that system in its various incarnations and I'd say it gets the job done on a tight budget. It doesn't hold a candle to Klipsch though. Compare those prices to www.newegg.com
  7. Congratulations on everything! If you would like to buy me Klipschorns to celebrate, that would be okay.
  8. How much content is actually matrixed into the wides? If it's anything like heights, I would use the RF-5s as surrounds.
  9. Read this detailed and well-written guide: http://forum.blu-ray.com/subwoofers/95817-guide-bass-management-part-i.html A pertinent passages reads: "People have a psycological difficulty with the word SMALL. They have spent good money on their front speakers and get insulted when the AVR sets them to SMALL. Remember that this is not a personal insult against you or your speakers. My Definitive Technology front speakers have 15" built-in subwoofers with built-in 300 watt amplifiers. In addition to those, I have 4 external subwoofers in my HT room. When I set the front speakers to SMALL, the quality of the sound (both music and movies) improves. It is helpful to redefine the words SMALL and LARGE to: LARGE = No bass mangement. SMALL = Speakers are Bass Managed."
  10. That's it right there. I would sell the Quintets and save additional funds. It would be a shame otherwise.
  11. I'm just surprised you would build a dedicated HT room and use Quintets.
  12. Wait a moment. You have a PS3 and a Sony Blu-Ray player?
