Any info on the other members of the PALLADIUM speaker family (specs)?

I am set to install CS-800-R's in a conference room (no need for 70 volt system - 8 ohm is fine). The install is plenum rated. Is there a back-can I can use with these speakers to pass code?

To me, this is a "no-brainer"; but, here goes anyway: I have been contracted by a company to install the speaker cluster in a church (sorry to say - not KLIPSCH). However, the company's owner wants the speakers installed inverted (low-end driver at the top & high/mid at the bottom. When I questioned this orientation, he informed me that if I checked at any church or club, I would find the speakers installed this way because this is the propper way to hang speakers. Did I miss something?

I am bidding on a job that would involve replacing a BOSE 502 system with a KLIPSCH system. There are 8 of the "cresent" shaped 502's in one area (no sub for low end) and over 24 in another area (again, no sub for low end). The 8 are in the building's "grand entry-way" and the others are in the "arena" as the main sound (they have horrible feed back - wonder why). For aesthetics, I am thinking about CA-8T's & CA-SW-8T's in the entry-way and a KI-362/215 mix in the arena. Am I on the right track?

OK, The system is: KLIPSCH RF-7 mains, RC-7 center, two sets of RS-7's as surround & back surround, two RSW-15's for "ummppppffff"; ARAGON Stage 1 pre-amp/tuner, 3002 for back surrounds, 3005 for everything else w/ mains bi-wired (3005 has dual out for each channel); SAMSUNG 63" 16x9 plasma. What DVD player? Give me at least 3 choices & why.

I just removed the BOSE..."stuff" from my church and am (little at a time) replacing with KLIPSCH. Just the little I have put in, the sound is very noticably better.

YES! What price range? Check the: (indoor/wall) RCW-3, RCW-5, (indoor/ceiling) RCR-3, RCR-5, (outdoor) SA-1, SA-2 & SA-3. As for the shower area - it depends on your vent system for steam elimination. None of the KLIPSCH wall/ceiling speakers have water proofing that I know of.

...also, the multichannel analogs are used for DVD Music disks!

LFE comes w/ Dolby Digtal (not to be mistaken for Dolby Surround), DTS, and all the upper grade surround formats. LFE is only turned on during special effect situations. When not using the LFE, yes, lows are sent to the mains. However, when sending Main information to a sub and then to your Main speakers, the subs will acquire most of your standard low information also eliminating the full response of your Main speakers. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your subs. They can be run in tandem from the LFE output to give you extra lows during the 5.1/6.1/7.1 formats.

RG-6 has a larger center conductor and foil & strand shield. It is great for long runs andlow signal loss. RG-50 is a smaller center conducter w/ a copper braided shield. It is use a lot in broadcast & video facilities for runs of 150 feet and less. It is also low loss but cannot cary the signal as well for longet distances.

First: Q-MAN's questions...screen transperency for sound - yes you can get them; but, they are much more expensive and they reflect as well as solid. Second - 5-1/2 feet across...standard sizes for video will come as a 4(h) x 6(w) or 6x9 or 9x12. Square ones are slide format - not for video. Now: TANKHOKIE's question...is it good to use the projector as a dedicated unit for everyday TV viewing - yes it can be. However, remember my coments about the replacement lamp and its cost? How many hours is the lamp good for? 1,000? 1,200? 800? How much would you have it on - how many hours per day/week? @5 hours perday, 7 days per week...thats over 1,800 hours per year. Thats a replacement lamp in less than one year ($300+ ~ $800+ Christmas Present every year).

Yes...go with the Synergys, or better yet, sell your car (or your neighbor's car) and get Reference!

I am an A/V contractor. I sell & install projectors for homes & businesses. Keep these things in mind: lamps ~ depending on the lamp used in the projector you choose, it can cost you between $300 & $800 to purchase a replacement (yes, you can install it yourself); screens ~ all screens (front & rear projection) have light amplification qualities...you don't want to just "paint" a wall; projectors ~ there are only about 6 real manufacturers...everyone else private labels from them, chose one that is around 1000 to 1500 lumens and has an LCD with a resident size of 16x9. There are lots of names to choose from. Which one is best? Which one looks best to you! I can cheat and go to INFOCOMM every year and see all of the models side-by-side and compare. I like SANYO. Just personal preference.

I am a new, licensed KLIPSCH installer and have access to the full line. I have sold a few of the Quintet systems and some commercial speakers as well (indoor & outdoor). I also carry JBL and a few others. The JBL's are good and do cost a little less (depending on the series). But, for the extra $$$ you get a better sound with the KLIPSCH. As for the Quintet versus the upgraded "6", yes - the "6" sounds better: more full range of sound. Check the specs on the Quintet sats. They can only cover so much ground in the way of freq. response. They do sound good; but, there is a lot of room for better.

RGB as in 15 pin HD VGA connector? If so, it is there because some TV's have 15 pin instead of component (RCA, Mitsubishi & others). The signal is vertually the same. There is a conversion box that can be used to change the 15 pin to component. This box is needed on the RCA HD dish receiver if hooking up to a TV w/ component. It is made by a company called "Audio Authority". They make the presentation systems for demo'ing audio and video systems (car & home).

You said A/V Amplifier...as in Receiver? If you have a mix of 4 & 8 ohm speakers, check and make sure that the amp will handle 4 ohms. Some will do fine with 8 & 16 but will burn up the finals (amp outputs) with 4 ohms (slow going, but it will happen). If it is good at 4 ohms then the only other situation you will run into is the difference in volume. Not much and adjustable.
