  1. How do you have them hooked up into the TV??? Maybe you have that incorrect.
  2. On the bottom left next to cd there is video1 inputs hook the red an white in to there and you will have left and right channel audio
  3. NO you do not have them in the proper input. You have them in the all video inputs not audio. Do you have a cable box?
  4. Ball of Confusion wires going out wires going in LOL You do not have your input hooked up properly. What are you inputting in to the reciever?
  5. The way you had them hooked up you should still have been able to hear the high end of the speaker. Did you hear anything?
  6. Yes they connect the low and high crossovers on your speakers. You only do not need the strap if you are going to bi wire or bi amp the speaker. So yes put them back on.
  7. The connections are correct from the receiver to the speakers but you need the strap or run two small wires from top red to bottom red terminal on speaker and the same on the black terminals.
  8. For one it looks like you are missing the metal strap that connects the Low and High ends of your speakers. It looks gold, copper in color and should connect the two red and black terminals on the back of the speakers.
  9. "Build it and they will BUY" including myself[]
  10. I agree, I have had Klipsch subs and IMHO they just do not stack up to the real subwoofer companies(HSU,SVS,VELODYNE just to name a few).
  11. Well in my personal listening enviroment, I think the Chorus IIs sound better at lower volume levels also, it is a fuller sound. Now do not forget, I am comparing them to Fortes not the Forte IIs. Just my humble opinion and personal preference that's all.
  12. I can only comment on what I own and listen to. I have Fortes, Chorus IIs and KG 5.5s. The Chorus IIs in my opinion are better then the Fortes by a very noticable difference. FULLER sound all the way around. Spec wise the Fortes go lower but by my ears I can not hear it. The Kg 5.5 are my least favorite and listed on Craigslist at the present moment. This is MHO!
  13. I have the HSU STF-2, Great sub for the price, I paid a little less, sucked up to the sales dept. They are very nice and if you ask you may get a 5% discount.
  14. Being a Bears fan it is going to be a long season, but if the refs keep cheating for us who knows?

    War Movies

I just got it (The Longest Day) from netflex, wanted to watch it with my son who has not seen it yet. Very good movie.
  16. I would go with two of these and mono bridge them. The Chorus IIs love power. I power mine with an old Kenwood Basic M2A which is 220wpc and they ROCK the house. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-812&ctab=5#Tabs Cliff
  17. A subwoofer should never sound UNNATURAL if it is set up properly. I use a sub with both my HT set up with the Chorus IIs as mains and my stereo listening with the fortes in front and KG 5.5 in rear. There is a lot to be added with the use of a properly setup subwoofer. As to why the Chorus II's sound better even in the low end, I believe is the 15" woofer and a fuller low end sound. Just my personal opinion listening to both of them.
  18. I have Forte not II and I also have Chorus IIs. The Fortes are my second favorite speaker. I bought them off Craigslist for a bargain price and located 3 blocks from my house. I could have sold them 3 weeks later for a $175 profit.(Paid $325 could have sold for $500) I just did not want to give them up after listening to them. That being said I still believe my Chorus IIs out perform them in all aspects. Give the Chorus IIs enough power and headroom and they will perform outstandingly. My next upgrade over the Chorus's would be some Belles or La Scalas, no corners for K-horns. Big Cliff
  19. If you want to rock then find a used pair of Chorus IIs they will make your house sound like a live rock performance. I power mine with a Kenwood Basic M2A(220 wpc) amazing. The Chorus can do 1000 watts peak and I think I may have almost been there once or twice.
  20. I do not know if adding it would help. Try it both ways and see how it sounds. To use the amp take the pre amp out, for the front speakers of the sony and connect it to the Rotel amp inputs.
