  1. Hmmmm. I have to keep my KSW-12 at about 7 on the dial or it overpowers my Scala's. I am using a Y adapter. I tried taking the Y adapter off and it does makes a difference. I also don't have my sub in a corner. It's as close to my Scala's as I can get it and about 8' from each corner. It's Also set about 10" from the back wall. I think the "boomy" bass you here about with the KSW's comes from them being stuffed in a corner. ------------------ Yamaha RX-V620 receiver 1976 Klipsch La Scala's Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 2. The KG4's are very good for HT. I've seen new KG 3.5's for sale lately they would make great rears for the KG 4's. I have used a SC1 center with my 3.5's and it worked great. You could also use the smaller KG's as rears and center, they are on Ebay all the time. ------------------ Yamaha RX-V620 receiver 1976 Klipsch La Scala's Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 3. Very Nice! I have the same problem with a smallish TV. My Scala's take up most of the space on any wall I have to put them on. Dosn't leave a lot of room for a big TV. But the sound is the important part anyway. LOL ------------------ Yamaha RX-V620 receiver 1976 Klipsch La Scala's Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 4. I got a new Yamaha RX-V620 for Xmas and brought my Scala's into my home theater. The Yamaha is great with the Scala's very warm Not harsh at all. 5. I've said it before IMHO the KSW-12 is a good sub. When set up properly it's great. I have noticed different receivers have a huge impact on how this sub works. With my Yamaha it more than keeps up with my Scala's and it's not boomy. Placement is critical in making it work. Are there better subs, Not for $300.00!! ------------------ Home Theater: Yamaha RX-V620 Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 6. I prefer the Yamaha sound over the Denon. The Yamaha is not as harsh imo. You can get the RX-V520 for under $350. It's a killer receiver for the price. ------------------ Home Theater: Yamaha RX-V620 Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 8. All Technics receivers run hot. Not warm HOT. You can cure it by installing a computer cooling fan mounted to the original fan. You will need a voltage adapter. But running hot is normal for these. ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 9. Anyone using the Dennon DRA-685 with Heritage/Scala's? I was thinking about the Outlaw but have decided to replace my old Technics with a newer 2 channel receiver. I'm open to suggestions for 2 channel Solid State receivers. ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 10. I've seen several comments about the Scala's lack of bass. Mine have very deep tight bass, much better than most subs. I'm talking shake the house bass. They are bone stock. I gotta wonder If it's placement or component issues that don't let Scala's really work. I had to try a bunch of different receivers (from very spendy to very cheap)to find what worked. ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 12. I've got Scala's, KG's and Synergy's ready to be heard. Plus Klipsch always sound better in a real world environment. It would also be great to find a person to "talk speakers" with. 16. Why Klipsch? Until you have heard Phil Collins "I dont't care anymore" coming from a pair of La Scala's with about a 1 watt input you can't imagine. You are about to have your stomach pulled through your throat. No other speaker comes close (Khorns excluded). ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 17. I just checked both of my KSW 12's. The RCA plugs go in the same amount. 18. My new home theater room will be ready in about 3 weeks! Room will be 18'L X 12" W X 7'H. My Scala's will then become part of the home theater. My plan is to add a Belle for center and two more Scala's. Will that be too much or should I be thinking Heresy's?? Are there any problems with the room size? I plan on using thick black drapes (one side of the room is all glass)on both side walls. ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 19. Buy the KG's. The SF1's are great speakers but the KG's sound more natural IMHO. I have both. The SC 1 will match OK. I would use the KG's for fronts and rears if you have the space. $350 (or less} would be a good deal on a pair of KG 3.5's ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 20. Welcome! Be prepared for a lifelong Kipsch experience! I bought my first Klipsch in 1976. I'm still buying them. RF3's,like any Klipsch, are very good. 21. Well, Two weeks ago I bought La Scala's. Now I want to change all of my home theater set up to Heritage.I want a single Belle for the center and two more Scala's for the rears. Then I'll be statisfied..... I wonder how Khorns would sound? ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub. 24. An 8" sub is not gonna be as good as a 12" Buy The Klipsch. Klipsch KSW subs are much better than they are given credit for. Placement however is a little tuff. 25. Well after four days and nights with my new (1976) Scala's this is what I think: They are hands down the most realistic sounding speaker I have ever heard. They sound good at VERY high volume. They sound good at very low volume. They bring the sound of live music to your home.If you haven't heard them you have no idea what they are like! The only negetive is weak bass. Can I improve the bass by positioning? Right now they are about 8" from the rear wall, 4' from each side wall and 8'apart. ------------------ Home Theater: Technics SA-1040DX Klipsch SF1 Fronts Klipsch KSW12 Sub.
