  4. Other than the x'mas raffle for "poinsettia" have never won anything, anywhere... Only get things after hard working and saving for long time. But, no harm in entering - who knows - worth trying !!!
  5. Hmmm...This is a personal and touchy preference! You could go with a plain, probably dark color as a contrast and not so busy or attractive rug to stand out every details of the speaker cabinet and the drivers so that one would look more at speakers and their drivers. You want their eyes off everything else but the speakers! You don't want very expensive looking rug (while it could be expensive in reality) so that people get distracted looking at the rug and never could take their eyes off!!! If you are married, planning to be married, have a GF then ask the significant half life partner, as you might not ever get your speakers! kidding... In any case, congratulations in advance for your home theater!
  6. Congratulations on your bonus... Check out or call Sound Distributor! They are Klipsch authorized dealer. In past couple of years I have observed few of Klipshers talking about them. If you choose to get RF-7 IIs then also get RC-64 II as a center channel. Also ask for pallet shipping as RF-7 IIs are heavy and each weights approximately 100lb. Good luck in your quest for a great HT!
  7. I don't think airplay is the best way to determine the "Base / Bass"! Not to mention that "mp3" is a lossy format and then on top of it you are introducing another variable namely "airplay". Would be nice if you could check the "Known, Good" material directly from CD (not mp3!!!) or other known good source to rule out the issue before looking in to the receiver or RF-7 IIs...
  8. I agree with Jason. The only thing I could add to it is to check the material with good quality headphones and it will reveal the noise if there is any! I've no experience with Onkyo receiver(s). Good Luck!
  9. Looks nice! Can't wait to see the photo of the added feature...[]
  10. Did you measure speaker resistance/ohms by any chance when you took it out of the cabinet (disconnected from crossover network)?
  11. That's a relief! I'm curious and interested in what you ended up with this finally...Thanks!
  12. How about placing them on a floor stand or use bookshelf speakers and place them on a floor stand. The other possibility is to use ceiling speakers itself... Few options, I guess! Good luck...
  13. With that, you might already have achieved premium-quality audio from center channel!!! Until, two real 'Klipsch Center Channel Speakers'! hehe...[] Nice...[H][Y]
  14. How about L/R Ceiling Speakers as 'Surround Back Channel'. That way one they will be 7-9 feet away from your listening position as well as NOT in your way. Just and idea.... Good luck.... You might know already but, forgot to mention that Klipsch has some ceiling speakers where one can change the tweeter and woofer position as well...

Well it happens...Specailly the surround sounds you must be getting from 17 months old twins! haha.... Glad that you found out the issue and like it now... Great! [H][Y]
  17. I fear that's correct! HDMI is required....The next thing would be ARC with 3D, but there is a workaround with two HDMI outs when watching 3D. You should take into account all these and see what best you can get from your budget. You might get a good used gear to suffice your requirements, if look around persistently and lucky. Good luck in your search...
  18. Nice going...When we ran 7.1 HT setup, they were 8' far from the listening position. Denon Audyssey XT took care of the rest. Good luck in your set up... Enjoy! [][H][Y]
  19. Very nice going with this build man! Also, thanks for taking so many pics for us to look at it...Great![Y][H]
  20. I forgot to mention one other thing that the 'Klipsch Dealer' used a bi-wired configuration with some very expensive looking speaker cabling/connections with this amp. Not sure, if they were made by themselves or some brand named ones. It didn't make much sense to me, but per him, it would reduce LF reflections on HF amplifier when connected in bi-wire configuration. But, when we went in to a debate, he agreed that he doesn't have any technical data to back it up other than what they have heard & earnt over the course of their working with audio systems' installations.
  21. Price seems to be good...But, when we auditioned it at Klipsch dealer with RF-7 II, for some reasons it didn't charm us... May be we were looking for something extra ordinary and didn't get impressed when compared to it's bigger brother...Not at all a fair comparison...And thus, it's still far supirior to most of the common breed of amps... btw., which speakers are you planning to drive with this? Nice find and good luck...
  22. @ Skule, btw. what's the name of your dog? While taking the picture, sure it seems that the eyes are on you? The lucky one! [Y]
