  1. So my Xilica's ISO is set to 102. That must be the default setting. When I set it to bypass the hiss level coming out of the 402 horn rises slightly. This is with my ear right in the horn. At the MLP the increase is barely discernable. I left it the 102 setting for now, I hear no audible gating artifacts at this setting.

  2. I re read the manual about the ISO and it is a "noise gate" and I'm sure its done in the DSP. So Ivan should be able to adjust it until he can definitely hear it cutting in and out if it is like any kind of noise gate I've ever used. Now I definitely want to see where mine is set and experiment with it.:)

  3. Does this muting involve the actual relays and buttons on the front of the unit? Or is it a software muting of the DSP? I need to go home and mess with mine. Is this setting, the threshold of the mute, available in the XConsole App.?

  4. See page 23 of manual for settings of the ISO (internal system optimizer). I think muting can be turned off. This is the Xilica I'm talking about. I can't seem to copy the manual and paste it here. ?????      I r n idiot with computer stuff sometimes.

  5. There will be a burr grinder (electric not hand cranked) available at Rodney's. If anyone wants to bring their own favorite special coffee beans to enjoy or share. Since small quantities of coffee have been available in past years I am assuming there is a coffee pot there.

There is still one input without connection, and two outputs without connection.

OK we're talking about the Xilica, right? That should be ok as long as the unused input is not assigned to any of the used outputs. So the inputs of the Xilica come from a reciever over balanced or un balanced lines?

could a second Crown D75A power the lower ends?

Was this directed at me? I use D75s not As currently. One for each 402/TAD4002 in bridged mode. Could a D75a power the low end? Sure it could but it may run out of gas if you're getting real happy with the volume control :)

You're supposed to bang it on the ground to get it to come out. Right?

Yea they can get jammed and yea it can and will piss you off. But I really don't have a choice. You can't mow a 2 to 1 slope that's made out of rocks.:(

  9. I use a lowly Crown D75 in bridged mode one on each driver of the 402s. Picked up 5 of em for $140 and refurb'd em myself. If you turn your head 90 degrees at the mouth of the horn you can hear a little hiss. I chalk that up as normal. In my opinion you need an amp with gain controls so you can open up the Xilica and turn down the amp. That looks like a pretty pricey amp, sorry you are having trouble with it.

Well perhaps angry white guys should demand reparations for affirmative action decisions back in the 60’s, 70’s ,etc? After all many were denied access to higher education and if they had gotten educated they’d not be so angry now. It’s a classic catch 22 😳.

HUH? What does educational background have to do with having over half of one's income taken and given to those who don't deserve it, or to fund things I don't support?

If I'm better educated I could bend over more easily?
