So I just want to make sure I completely understand. Are you saying adding banana plugs or spades ( or any extra connection for that matter) changes the sound in a POSITIVE way?

This was a thread discussing similar issues:

I would say that on the Xilica INPUTS you definitely have to short the RCA shield(ground) to both the -(minus) input AND the ground.
On the Xilica OUTPUTs it won't hurt to tie them together but you don't have to. The OPTIMUM way is to tie the minus and ground together at the RCA end but that requires a twisted pair cable with a shield.

Like a lot of rich and famous people. Out of touch completely with how us little people live.

If you put a plate amp in the box you are subtracting from the volume of the box. The box was designed for just the volume of the driver, unless otherwise stated by box designer. This will have an effect. Good, bad, major, minor?

Me too. I was just looking at times for Friday, and checked out Thursday's times and noticed that. Went online and found out it's a pretty popular move by the theaters.

One looks cleaner than the other What's up with that @mikebse2a3
So the allen set screws go through the 4002 flange or bottom out into them?

@bhendrix I think @colterphoto1 is trying to get your attention.

Thanks babadono. My TAD "snout" flange is threaded and has a stop on the driver side so I can only screw in a bolt or stud from the horn side and anything screwed in from that side will only go so far - flush with the flange. So, I'm not really picturing what you're describing where the head of a machine screw would be on the TAD flange side as nothing could be put through that hole unless it were very much smaller in diameter than the 1/4" threads. My 691s were mounted with studs sticking out and washers/nuts on the horn side.
Local HD/Lowes hardware stores don't seem to stock threaded studs of various sizes, just threaded rod of 6" or more. Maybe they'll cut it down to 1.25" studs for me. Problem with that is the cuts may not be clean for threading. Tap and die set anyone?
I'll snap a photo tonight. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. But I do remember it was harder than it should have been.

@Delicious2 When i changed out the K-691 for Tads on my Jubs the head of the machine screw ended up on the Tad flange and the nuts and washers are on the K402 horn. And it is a tight fit. I can't remember how the 691s were mounted. Probably the same way otherwise I would not have thought to do it that way.

All I can say..some of the new headlights are too God D@#$! bright/intense/blinding. You pick the adjective. Can't wait until self driving cars are mainstream, they won't need headlights at all.

My Dad was a member of the Greatest Generation. A kid in the roaring 20s, coming of age in the Great Depression, going to war in WWII. I can only barely comprehend the stress he lived with. Then all the shenanigans my sister, brother and I piled on top of that. Lost him to heart failure way too young at 62.
