  1. I have talked with a few people and have another deal in progress but I need to move these 63's first. I am open to offers for a fast sale!! Feel free to pm me and we'll talk!! Thanks
  2. This chick is crazy!! I did my homework before I sent her paypal for $1044.26 with shipping in original packaging...... my credit card co. and paypal said I was still protected as there would be a hold on the money until tracking numbers where seen by paypal, so I figured what the heck.....I'll give it a shot. So she was supposed to ship this monday and come 5 p.m. and I had no tracking info, I took action and she refunded within 30 minutes!! J weber I think your right, I asked to talk to her husband who she claimed worked for a Klipsch dealer in the Daytona area, and she got all kinds of bent out of shape. I even asked if this was a divorce or seperation deal and she texts me back trying to pretend to be her husband.......whatever. It was worth a try I guess. Just sucks theres no 83's close to me!! This really is a sick addiction!! I was into salt water aquariums/reef before I got back into audio and I think this is just as expensive!! I LOVE IT!!!
  3. However, A fellow would go way further in debt doing it this way, trust me I know!!! Coulda bought this amp from you and had cash left
  4. Yes I do like the sound of the parasounds. I like the 2 ch amps, I can move it from room to room or switch things up a little more, basicly in my eyes they are a little more versitale. I have 2 hca 1000, 1 750, and a 1500. My favorite sound is the 750, its just full of rich mellow sound and its crystal clear. The larger ones are not quite as clear and smooth......at least on my 7's. I have only listened to the 63's on the 1500 so far.
  5. Steve, very interesting but no I am not into knives and do most of my own electrical. I am a mechanic so tools are good, snap on prefered. I do want to get into wood working a bit so have been looking for some nicer tools. Of course cash is always welcome!!
  6. Ill swap ya for the 63"s!! I think you need them sitting beside your 83"s like brothers, and take some of those fantastic pictures your known for!!
  7. I hear ya, every pair of speakers I have had I want back!! Forte's RF-82 KG 2 and the list goes on. However, I really would like to find someone in my area that may want to trade, prefer the above mentioned speakers but will consider almost anything as long as it dont eat!!
  8. If your looking you know what this is. I am not using it, Has the power supply and is in great working and very acceptable cosmetic condition. . Price is $110 including priority mail and paypal fees.
  9. Sorry, did not see it was a year old!! Just my luck
  10. I picked these up off craigslist and now would just like to move them, i have a thing for the klipsch speakers and i realized that if I want another pair of larger speakers I will need to sell these as I have no place to put 3 Pairs of large speakers (although, I will find a spot if need be!!). I would really like to find a pair of forte in black, KLF-30 in black, or RF-83, of course in black. One cabinet has a pretty good gouge on the right rear, I would be more than happy to demo them, I am west of Toledo OH and only 2 miles north of the OH turnpike. Figure $700 is a good starting point and I can wiggle down a bit, or what do you have to trade? They sound great and are very acceptable looking, not perfect, but they look nice. I have done no touch up to them they are just the way I got them. I dont want the hassel of boxing them so a local pickup would be great. Thanks Bill, it was nice to meet you!!
  11. Just so everyone knows, I bought these and she never shipped as promised so I filed a claim and got my money back. I would not try to deal with her unless you are local. had them with shipping for just over a grand. I guess it does not matter now, I just dont want anyone else to get screwed
  12. Thank you!! dont know if I would want to drive that far... but you never know!! Think I could stuff them in my jetta TDI.... might help to save if I had a long distance find. Another one I would love to try would be the KLF 30, but I am pretty sure 2 of those monsters would not fit. Guess I will have to do some measuring. I wish I could hear some 30 and 83 local again......heard the KLF 20 and the 83 years ago, so its kind of a gamble!! Time will tell
  13. I am taking the next step, I want to add black rf-83's to my addiction. I am in nw ohio and need to find a pair close to being local, a reasonable drive is expected.... at a fair going rate price. As a plan B, I do have a buddy working in Kissimmee FL, however he works all the time and may be hard to arrange a pickup, He will not be back into ohio for about 7 weeks so I am really hoping I can find some around here and not have to trouble him with hauling them home and or storing them untill he gets home, and then of course I would be itching waiting on them!! Thanks!!
  14. no one wants to throw their 2 cents in?.... i am just looking for some decent bass to add the missing from a 6" driver.....dont have to be an award winning design!! or even look pretty for that matter!! in searching for info online it seems there are a lot of choices in design, i will figure something out with the woofer if someone can comment on a crossover, will the famous paradigm x-30 do me any good?
  15. Well for xmas my beautiful wife got me some AW650's and I know I wont be happy with them without a sub. I would love to DIY with something like the niles underground or something along that line. Never built one before so I have no idea how to get started or what I will need. Based on looking at the niles underground deal a peice of say 10" or 12" heavy plastic pipe about 24" long and a couple of caps to seal it off on the ends and then say 3" for the port with a rain cap on the top. If I can get educated on placement I would cut plywood for a nice fit inside the pipe and mount the woofer to that.....basicly a ring. Where does the woofer need to be placed, and how long does the port pipe need to stick inside and how far away from the woofer? It would be quite expensive to do trial and error with the pipe!! Or could a guy build like an svs cylinder design....I am open for options Once that is figured out, I need to pick a driver and I would use one of my parasound amps or an old fisher I have to drive it, however with zone 2 I dont have a pre out sub port.....it will be easy enough to get a signal to it but it will be a full range signal, so a crossover of some type will be needed, correct? Any suggestions woould be great, and by the way, I have no neigbors close by and my "yard" is 5 acers so I can crank it up without ticking anyone off!!
  16. I would suggest the 82's as well, I have had both and liked both but the 82's sounded better to me with 2 channel music. As us motor heads say "theres no replacement for displacement" and those 8" woofers seem to move more air! Just my opinion!!
  17. I am no electrician, But I would try using a ohm meter and measuring the "good speaker" and the other one and comparing the result. They should be very very close if not identical. Also if you have seperate binding post for bi wiring check the HF and low on each speaker and that should tell you what driver has the issue. What model speakers are we dealing with here?
  18. This is where the trouble is in the HF. it just sounds dirty, not as clean and crisp as it was just run on one hca 1000 or even the hca 750 did a good job in my opinion. Mainly when at higher volumes, and the higher the volume the more noticeable it is. When i have time, I will swap amps to see if maybe theres a problem with the one running the HF. Maybe I can do that on sunday as we are forcast to get a big snow storm followed by strong wind and cold temps. Hhhhmmmm, maybe I should get my gererator ready too, just in case!!
  19. I too was looking at emotiva, Called them and asked about noise and like issies and the guy in tech told me to stay away from the XPA with klipsch as they are high gain amps and you will hear that in the klipsch, it was enough to scar me away!! I think he recomended the upa 100 or 200. Give them a call and see, this was a year or so ago. Used parasounds sell all the time pretty reasonable. Not saying the best amp out there but I am very happy with mine, very warm sounding
  20. I have the rxa1000 and I can say in my opinion it is on the bright side. I have bought a couple of Parasound amps and it has helped tame it bigtime!! I don't have the rf7II tho, the II's are not as bright as the mine so it may be very different. I will say adding the amps and playing with configurations has been a blast and will never run off the avr again. The 1010 I am sure will sound good, but I listen to a lot of music as well in 2 channel and thats where i was having the "bright" trouble. Lets say you will have a good setup and there is room to improve as money allows!! As far as calibration, all I have ever used is the yammie so not able to help you with that, but my system sounds great to me watching a action movie or just a normal tv show. Good Luck
  21. I am in NW Ohio, about 30 miles west of Toledo.
