  3. This is Freida a purebreed East german Shepard the pic was taken two Christmas's ago at 2 yrs old. All her brothers are Police Dogs. She is the most gentle dog I have ever owned. Surely man's best friend
  4. Down the cellar having a couple of beers listening to the Beatles on my Corns My local Radio Station WBLM(the Blimp)30 years on the air (and I've listened to every one of them) is celebrating the release of Let it be Naked and hey let's face it ... probobly the hottest team in the NFL... Life is GOOD.
  5. The pioneer 563 Dv563a which can be purchased at Best Buy or Circuit City for around $179 I purchased it because I wanted to listen to SACD's and I have been very impressed with its video along with audio. this unit does it all DVD DVD Audio and SACD. check outthe Nov.(I think) Sound and Vision for a review they approved, anyway at this price point you can't really lose. Ron
  6. where can you find it for $130 thanks ron
  7. Justin Got my link this morning, thanks. This is great info. Ron
  8. It seems that most high end manafacturers have combi (DVD DVDA SACD)in the thousand-plus price ranges. Also Marantz Sony Dennon, Pioneer have some for around a thousand bucks. It seems the Pioneers DV-45A with a MSRP of $799. and a street price of around 350-400 would be the cheapest model to get into. I seem to have read a favorable review somewhere. By this time next year the predictions are that prices will be in the $200 range. Reasonable enough to audition. I have a Toshiba DVDA player I have enjoyed some of the releases. As with any format it's your personal taste that counts Ron
  9. They are on their original risers, an option from Klipsch Actually both pairs I have owned have had risers so I dont know if they sound better than the ones without. I do know these sound great
  10. Not to worry my listening area is in the basement all plants are silk WAF!!! I've got this down to a science less than 2 minutes to take everything off, for some serious listening. wife is happy LOL and so am I as soon as I get better with my new camera (practice practice) I'll post pics of the rest of my system and my other Klipsch
  11. garymd Sure do, I bought a pair of black Corns with cane grills back in 1984 Stupid me I sold them (thats another sad story) I liked the looks of them . This year after 12 yaars w/o Cornwalls I finally found a local (well only 200 mi. away) pair of 88's in Oil Oak. This worked for me as my wife loves oak and I love Klipsch the standing agreement at my house is that I can have any Klipsch that I want as long as they are finished in oak. thats why I own 6 pairs of various Klipsch speakers with 3 centers in either OO or med. oak Not to forget 2 pairs of IW250's painted to my wife's taste. Looking for Khorns in OO he he he
