  1. wow, those are some great deals! We're in the same hood. I'd love to hear your set up some time and get some tips on your bargaining strategies!! A bit of OCD and a multistate CL search. You have to be quick to get the best deals. Where are you located Lemon string?

  4. He is a nice guy, I exchanged some emails with him. He also has a McIntosh MC352 amp for sale for $3500.
  5. They are sold (not to me). In the Chicago area $700-900 isn't uncommon.

  8. Thanks for pointing out the warranty issue.
  9. I've done 11 hours each way. But I've been told I have a problem.
  10. From posting: I have one pair of klipschorn speakers, this pair is oiled walnut with black grilles from mid 80's, original components, look and sound great. only reason for sale is remodeling and need to downsize. will consider heresy or cornwall trade, serious enquiries only, I can email more pics if necessary, please do not waste my time if you do not want to purchase this type of speaker. 815-441-2571 for inquiries or reply thru craigslist http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/ele/4294648114.html No affiliation.
  11. Klipsch KPT-200 studio quality speakers.12 inch woofers. awesome sounding speakers for the price http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/msg/4294691535.html No affiliation. He is located in NW Indiana, zip code: 46303.
  12. That is a great offer, this forum has great members!
  13. I don't know where you are located, but these are on CL in Pittsburgh: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ele/4276910636.html
  14. Good luck with the sale. They look to be in great condition. I have an older pair (same finish) in about the same condition with AA crossovers. They sound great, as I am sure your do. Good luck.
  15. Justin_A, I am back in town, if you wanted to stop by and listen to the heritage speakers later this week.
  16. Would you get the II's over a an older pair with no upgrades? I have never heard the La Scala II. I heard that if you like La Scala, you will love the La Scala II (more of a good thing). The ones in MI are new, he dropped them off at the costumers house and picked them up the next day, the wife didn't approve. For me, it would come down to budget. I considered the La Scala II in MI, but I already have the La Scala and couldn't justify the extra cost (I would have had to sell to buy). The ones in MI are listed at the same price as the Chicago area ones (which are more than I would pay). I will be out of town until the 6th, but if you haven't bought anything by then, you can stop by for a listen to decide what sound you like. I have all the vintage Klipsch, you can compare the Heresy, Cornwall, La Scala, Belle, and Klipschorn. I also have the Quartet, Forte, Chorus II, and KLF-30.
  17. I would get these La Scala II in MI: http://jxn.craigslist.org/ele/4237298646.html
  18. FYI. The cornwalls are walnut oil.

    for sale

Where are you located and what finish are they. Photos and prices are pretty might required here. Good luck with the sale and the tough economic times.
  20. http://jxn.craigslist.org/ele/4237298646.html I emailed the guy on these and got some additional info. He says he is an authorized Klipsch dealer. He doesn't have the boxes for them. "They were taken out and set. Customers wife did not like them. They were picked up the next day and have been sitting in my living room since." No Affiliation. I considered buying them, but I already have La Scala. Good deal for someone looking to buy near new La Scala II. I posted these before when he was asking $4000 for them.
  21. And his idea of a reasonable offer is ~$1800. I may be parting with my single 1958 shorthorn the original configuration with the Stevens Tru-sonic 103LX woofer and university midrange and tweeter. The woofers are going for $500+ on eBay. I am in the Chicago area.
  22. Klipsch walnut Forte II and receiver - Fall Creek, WI http://eauclaire.craigslist.org/ele/4233077659.html Yamaha RX 530 receiver Yamaha CDC 605 5 disc cd changer 1 Pair Klipsch Forte II with remote $400 No affiliation.
  23. Good luck with the sale, at that price they won't last long. They are great speakers. I have them as the mains in my home theater. I was enjoying the bass in an action movie and didn't even realize the subwoofer was turned off. Best of luck on the sale (and to the new happy owner).
