  1. $250 in 1963 is about $2000 in 2019 https://www.dollartimes.com/inflation/inflation.php?amount=250&year=1963 Very nice looking amp. GLWS
  2. I haven't had much of a chance lately to deal with them. I will try Speaker Repair as JoeDirt mentioned. I might end up selling them to reduce the herd either way.
  3. Great price for these, I I was closer, these would be gone.
  4. He runs a store: SIREN RECORDS 3902 Main St McHenry , IL 60050
  5. They would pair nicely with these: https://offerup.com/item/detail/654110875/ https://offerup.com/item/detail/654119937/ He says he will sacrifice for his asking price....
  6. If I hadn't picked up a pair of less pristine Forte III, I likely would have picked these up. If there is anyone on the fence in the Chicago area, I have Forte, Forte II, and Forte III. If you need a comparison before driving to pick these up. I haven't gotten a lot of listening time in on the Forte III. Very punchy bass and a worthy successor to the excellent Forte and Forte II family.
  7. They got a lot of angry messages from Klipsch authorized dealers when they cleared out Forte III at $1800/pr. They pulled the deal then. I suspect they got similar outrage from dealers over this one. They were probably OK selling the 70th anniversary models, since they were limited availability anyways.
  8. Deal expired (or they were asked to stop advertising it).

  14. I assume you are in Austin, TX?
  15. Maybe some cornwall and some Belles that need refinished.
  16. He is actually asking $1200 for his. 🙄
  17. From ad: 1982My favorite speakers ever... wouldn't sell them because they sound sooooooooo good and they're fun. But for $1,200.00...will sell!Horns...efficiency is so good a 10w tube amp can power them.Sealed. Bassy to 50hz but not too bassy. Location in room isn't paramount. Wide dispersion of mids and tweets make the sweet spot anywhere in room..Yeah $1200 is the price I'd sell them at. Use them everyday. Loudest small speaker award of some sort in 1980's. They shine at everyday levels. Loud as heck too. 50 watts rms maximum is most ive driven them with a 225x2 carver amp.Drums sound real. White stripes band drums sound so good. Wood outside could use oiling. Capacitors could use replacement. $90 for top notch capacitors for both found online. I could replace them for a fee. Speakers all work and look great. I've been thru 70 speaker sets and I hang onto these. Beats cerwin Vega imo. Best speakers I've owned. Decade ago these went for $350-500. Now they go for $1000 since they've become better known. Will post better pictures if you're interested. Just listing them for kicks really. ... I've hung onto these thru thick and thin.Equivalent price now is $3000/set new. https://terrehaute.craigslist.org/ele/d/rosedale-klipsch-heresy-hwo-stereo-amp/6844387561.html No affiliation. Laser badges, so c.1976-1978. I don't think he will get his asking price...
  18. I will likely be selling my Quartets soon. And maybe a lot more...
  19. Sounds like a very good deal for someone. GLWS.
