What are the rb and rs equal to the first gen of rf 83, cuz I could use some wides. I have 83,81,64,and rs7. What would be a good finish of the gen you are looking for or am I mixing to many generations. I seen the pair of rb61s on here and so tempting.

Main question is which room would work best and where would I place everything? I will have a couch with end tables for furniture.

So over the past few months I upgraded everything and I want to hook everything up soon. I have rc64 with 2- rf83s 2-rs7s and 2-rb81s with 2 SVS pb12 nsd sub's and a Denon 4520, panamax surge and a pioneer bd62f blu ray player and a 60 inch Samsung 8500. First option but the room won't be ready for a couple month is in the basement all walls are concrete the room is 8.6 ft by 24 ft unfinished. The other is the master bedroom which has five walls. The north wall is 14ft the west wall is 15 and the east wall is about 10 ft and the other 2 walls are about 8 ft. I don't know exact measurements but can get them. I leaning towards the upstairs master bedroom, just wish the basement room was wider and somewhat finished. And I am single so that is why I can put everything in the bedroom and I'll make the spare room the master.

If you wait long enough you can buy them for 4.99 or when they do a special you might pay 7.99. That's what I do.

The 8500 is the brightest plasma made at this time and the lower models are not that bright. If your use to led or LCD then the 8500 is the best bet, I had a LCD and it took a month to get used to the 8500. I almost returned it but then I realized my screen was bad and had it replaced.

I tried spears and munsil disk it made some things better and others worse. My parents had their lg calibrated and its picture smokes the Samsung 7100 series, so I'm a firm believer is the BB calibration, I will have my 8500 calibrated once I get more hours on it.

When I was in a magnolia store they had the 60f8500 next to a 60 inch oled and there was almost no difference, the oled did look a little better tho. I'm assuming their 8500 was calibrated because my picture isn't as good as theirs.

My onkyo switches them to large and turns off the sub if I switch the surround setting to pure. That is the only setting I use for music because it doesn't sound good in multichannel setting with the sub.

I just bought my Denon 4520 from a magnolia store in Minneapolis and it looks identical to the photo youthman submitted. They are very willing to price match anybody for a sale. Its pretty nice to walk into a BB and there is actually somebody there that knows something and actually owns the stuff to bad it has to in the magnolia section.

I'd suggest SVS or outlaw both are pretty affordable. I had a klipsch sw450 and switched to SVS pb12 nsd the old version of pb2000 and I am very happy that I switched. I just bought my second nsd not to long ago. Good luck and welcome to the forum and watch out for the bug.

For hydro's setup don't you want the rb's behind the couch aimed towards the listening area? I will have the same issue. I just updated everything to Denon 4520 rc64 rf83 rs7 and rb81 and 2 SVS pb12 nsd and I was wondering about using rs instead of rb but the 81s were to cheap to pass up same with the 7s. It will be a couple of weeks till setup
