  1. What a great thread! As a father and a proud American, I felt the emotions as I read thru all the posts. Congratulations on such a special gift (and your speakers as well) I would imagine by now you have burned that shirt as a "former member" of the piss and moan club! [] God Bless!
  2. Good deal...After a few tweaks I'm sure you'll get the right setting. btw.....your room looks amazing!!
  3. Another option would be to buy a pair of noise cancelling headphones for the twins and let it rip! lol Merry Christmas!
  4. I use the Sennheiser RS180 headphones with 2 extra headsets. They are very clear and work very well. You can expand as many as 4 on the receiver. Amazon has a lot of deals right now including this set. http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS-180-Wireless-Headphone/dp/B002TLT10S/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1324763645&sr=1-9 http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-RS120-Wireless-Headphones-Charging/dp/B0001FTVEK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1324763645&sr=1-1
  5. Did you get caller ID on that set up? [] I 2nd and 3rd the RW12D. I purchased 2 and am very pleased.... BTW.....Welcome to the forum!
  6. FWIW............ LG BD670's built-in Wi-Fi and excellent streaming-media suite make it one of the best Blu-ray player values... one of our favorite Blu-ray players of the year. CNET - 04/28/2011
  7. I had the same issue and had to change the BD settings. I just bought this same one from in the store at BB as a Christmas gift. Was 20.00 cheaper on their website the next day so they credited the difference on my credit card. I can't comment on the player as it's a gift for my son but I do have a LG BD590 that has worked flawlessly. The BD590 has a 250GB hard drive built in that I burned all my CD's to. The wireless connection works as good as being hard wired via ethernet cable. I've ran it both ways and no noticeable difference in streaming quality. Good luck with your purchase...........
  8. I bought one yesterday for my son as a Christmas present at BB. LG with wireless (no adapter needed) for 129.00 They had several in the 69.00 to 89.00 range like Sony, Samsung that were wireless capable but needed the additional adapter.
  9. I didn't mean any disrespect and hope you get a good recovery on these. Good to know you're in Colorado and have a neighbor directly north of New Mexico!
  10. If I lived in Denver, I'd be looking for a RC-7 also as this deal on RF7's looks pretty good. http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/2747054919.html
  11. Wow, beautiful home but a tough room. Maybe ceiling mounts would blend in nicely with the asthetics of the home.
  12. I've bought some of their HDMI cables and have had no issues. I would imagine their RCA cables are ok too.
  13. Look at the price on the link I posted. I honestly don't know how they can sell these so cheap. You literally have to use a phillips screwdriver to open the packaging plus it comes with a y adapter and is 25' long which is great when experimenting with sub placement. You'll still need another y (1m to 2f) from your receiver but these will def. not "break the bank"
  14. The Y adapters into the subs aren't manditory but does add a few db's Some also do it just to keep dust out of the hole. Just a matter of personel preference but I use them and like the results.
  15. This is an incredible cable for the price and it comes with a Y adapter ( 1 female to 2 male) it also has locking connectors and a 25' directional rca cable. I have 2 hooked to my subs and they work great. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008VSM8/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
  16. I use VUDU via Netcast thru my LG tv or br player. The HD 1080p streaming is excellent as well as the audio which is broadcast in Dolby Digital Plus 7.1
  17. Try the "ALC" mode or the "Action" mode on your Pioneer while watching movies. Made a huge impact when I watched Battle Los Angeles.
  18. Make sure you don't use the component connection and the HDMI connection. If you are using the HDMI, that is all you will need. Also, make sure the corresponding input is selected on both the receiver and your tv.
  19. Join the club. My replacement is arriving tomorrow so hopefully all is in tact. I wish they would box up the Klipsh box. The Klipsch box doesn't really indicate "this side up" other than a small arrow at the bottom of the box...........good luck on round 2!
  20. You might want to check out Newegg. They offer some great deals and their level of customer service is outsanding.
