  1. I have listed a pair of Academys for sale. I got hit with an offer for a 13 wpc HH Scott 222b tube amp. I have zero knowledge in tube amps. Its mint, about as clean as they come. Can someone help me with a ballpark value on this unit?
  2. This is probably dumb to ask but I have a pair of rf-7's still with the factory xovers, what would be the benefit to these over stock?
  3. Soooo....after keeping up with this thread I have decided I personally really like the industrial look and I would perhaps like to own a pair. I am currently running a pair of RF-7 classic. Based on the options and my budget, it looks like I would either have to do the KPT-310 or the KPT-902, with the KPT-310 being more in my price comfort zone. Then my question would be, is that getting me any further ahead of the sound quality of the RF-7 or would it perhaps be a lateral move sound quality wise because I like the industrial look? I have no experience with the pro stuff so Im sorry if my question seems uneducated!!
  4. Regardless of why she likes it, you have a chance to spend time with her!
  5. I don't know this man they call Tim, but I love him.
  6. I'm sticking my Reference toe in obvious Heritage water here but why not a pair of RF-7's? The La Scalas are crap on bass, sorry. If you want monster bass there is no way La Scalas alone with quench that thirst. I've personally never been impressed with the K-horns stand alone bass either. Unless you have a speaker with an amplified sub built in, there is no way a stand alone speaker can hold its own against a powered sub for thump and depth. I quickly realized though that I wasn't satisfied with any speakers bass performance on its own and I added an amplified sub. That being said, when I heard the rf-7's they had very, very good bass on their own, RF-83's for that matter also. Both made in Hope as well. However, A LOT of what determines how much bass you get is determined by what your driving your speakers with. Anyway, just my thoughts.
  7. Yes, thats what Im after, a price list from a vendor. I don't even know of a good vendor for Klipsch Pro Gear. Never even considered it until this awesome thread. Lol
  8. I'm gonna mass email some friends with the link. 3 votes up.....
  9. Just a tad off subject here....is there a website I can go look at for the klipsch pro speakers, like the 904, that would show pricing?
  10. OP probably said the hell with this place and moved on.
  11. Ive had one of the pair hooked up for a couple days now and it sounds really nice. They are a lot heavier than I was expecting too....very solid.
  12. Done. Looks good so far....your up by 10%.
  13. Get there early it says. I believe I would be camping out tonight.
  14. I posted the Academy for sale in the garage sale forum. Thanks guys!
  15. *After a bit of consideration I dropped the price for forum members.* I have for sale an Academy speaker in black. I bought a pair from an older lady but I'm only going to use one. If someone really wants the pair though I'm not married to them. They are both in overall great condition. The lady I got them from used them in the vertical configuration so the bottom has some scuffs on it. Not really a big deal to me but it may be the end of the world for someone. I'm asking $225 for the single or $400 for the pair....YES, $400 for a PAIR OF Academys!! If your interested in the pair message me. I live in Central Arkansas and would prefer to meet in the general area but if you want the speaker(s) and need it shipped and you don't mind paying for shipping I can ship it. Its a heavy rascal though, 30lbs or better. The Elmo chair in the background is not for sale, sorry, my chihuahua would kill me. Thanks for looking.
  16. Of course there is. Great speaker IMO. Bill Ok. Im gonna put one up for sale later tonight. Not gonna skin anybody on it. Would $275 be a fair offering?
  17. Is there still a market for this speaker? I have come across what I believe to be a good deal on a pair of them in black. I only need one though so I would buy the pair and sell one. I don't want to get stuck with a speaker that just collects dust though!! Thanks in advance!
  18. I dont doubt thats a good speaker but its a big rascal, not a throw in the backpack and go type.
  19. Just wondering if anyone can throw out any suggestions for a portable bluetooth speaker. I work in construction and travel some. Speaker wouldnt be abused, just may need to be suitable for dusty environments, etc. Any suggestions are appreciated.
