My living room is about 17x14 with 12 foot high ceiling and I probably used around 180ft. I never measured what was left, but there really wasn't much, so I might have even used a little bit more. I hope this helps.

The RF7 IIs are going to be able to handle more power, play louder and lower. I would say you would notice a difference. When I purchased my system, my biggest thing was 'future proofing'. If you can afford the RF7 IIs, and you don't think you are going to be in your same house forever, then I would say go for it. The RF82 IIs should be more than sufficient in any space that I'll ever put them in, unless I become super rich and buy a huge house, then I suppose I can still use these in the living room and buy something crazy for a theatre room. The only difference in my setup is the RS-62IIs other than the RS-52IIs. Probably a silly reason for me to get them, but if you look at the specs of all the speakers, they all handle 150W RMS. The 52IIs handle 100. I'm sure they could have handled all that I can and ever will throw at them, but again, I wanted them to be able to handle the same as the rest 'just in case.' So yes, I would personally recommend going this way, but other people in the forum may not agree with my logic =^P

I used almost 200 ft of wire in my little space. I'm lucky I guessed right when I ordered the stuff. I would also go with 12 awg, so you should be able to go pretty much any length with that and still be good to go.

So far I like my surrounds. I also have heard that some people like the bipoles in the rear and directional on the side. I suppose I should have tried it before mounting everything to the wall just to see if I liked it better, but oh well. Maybe next house I'll give it a try. Something you can do is ask about the return policy on any speakers you buy and then try them out to see if you like it better.

I would recommend the wall plates. I just got some put in and they make the installation look clean. If you are going to mount the speakers directly to the wall they probably won't be necessary tho.

From what I've read, the II line seems to sound a bit smoother and is a little less harsh. I don't have experience with the previous line, so I can't really say myself. If you got a good deal on them and you are happy with how they sound when you have them up and running, I would say rock on.

I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. The system in my sig cost $3135 (minus the AVR). You may be able to find a little better deal on it if you shop around, but I'm happy with the price I paid and I think it sounds absolutely fantastic. Would I have bought the RF7-II and RC-64 II if I had the extra money? Maybe. I have absolutely no want to upgrade to them tho as I'm completely satisfied with what I have.

Try calling Klipsch directly, they may be able to tell you what to look out for as well.

I'm loving my SW-115. It sounds clean and deep. I agree with mustang guy, if you can avoid putting any of the speakers in the ceiling, and put them in the walls, it'd probably sound a lot better overall.

A new TV is next on the list. I just got all this installed yesterday. All wires in the wall, It looks nice and clean.

I've read that people prefer surrounds on the side and bookshelfs for the rear. I would say if you like how they sound now, there is no need to replace them.

CL2 is what you are looking for. I found the monoprice stuff on amazon as well, might be a little quicker shipping maybe?

Might be worth a try.

For his space, wouldn't these take up a bit too much room? In my opinion, if you are looking to complete the system in the fall, why not just wait until then, save your money, then you can get the system you really want all at once. Don't waste money now on something you may just want to upgrade when you get a bit of extra money so you'll end up spending a lot more in the long run.

If this dealer has Klipsch stuff, can't they order you the 42 IIs if that's what you want?

I'm watching it now. I'm not a big fan of musicals, but I would definitely say it's worth a watch. Makes me wish I would have seen it live.

I never bought the PS3 with the thought that I would be playing SACDs in the first place. I've never really looked at that format since there is so little out there. Only reason I looked was because of this thread. I'm just glad I only bought one CD for $15, so I'm not at a huge loss anyways. No big deal.

^^^Nobody can resist the hypnotic stare of the monkey. Did your Yamaha have an impedance switch, and did you have it set in a position other than 8 ohms? If you did, the sound would be thin and lacking in bass. I was quite disappointed with the sound of my Yamaha AVR until I learned about that. The sound was much better once I set the switch to 8 oms, and it's been there ever since. You can Google "Yamaha impedance switch" and read lots about it. Is it just me, or does Onkyo only have 4 and 6 ohm options...?

I have the LPF at 120 right now. The fronts are at 50 I think and the rest of the surrounds are at 60. I'm sure I'll mess around with the settings a bit more once everything is set up and attached to the walls. I'm thinking I'll end up turning the sub up a little bit, but half of the time I'm watching movies my kid is sleeping...so it may end up staying how it is. And thanks joshjp, I really am so far...I already want another one, ha ha =^) Not because it's not enough, because believe me it's plenty in my space, but I just think it's be rad to have 2 =^P

I'm liking the 115, it *finally* came in today. I took the suggestion from another thread to turn it all the way up and then run audyssey to let the AVR set the gain. Audyssey on my Onkyo set it up at -15 db. I'm watching Transformers and so far so good. It's not too loud, and it definitely digs a lot deeper than my last sub. I'm sure if I wanted it to get louder I could just turn it up a bit in the AVR, but as Schu said I could easily see it becoming too overpowering. I might like it up a little bit more, but it just sounds super clean right now.
