  1. Power source - are you referring to amplifier or how current is getting to the amp? If the former - a pair of Odyssey Stratos Mono; if the latter - just using a standard home power outlet. Yes, the amp. Have to say that the amp you have is better than what I can afford I had a pair of KG3.5 and was impressed. I can't imagine them sounding better than the CF2 though..
  2. The CF aren't as sensitive as the specs claim. They might be tired and need a cap refresh. MJ advises to raise the CF up until the horn is level with the ear. Going on that, I have a couple of pair of speakers that sounded terrible until I raised them off of the floor. What power source are you using?
  3. 1 - Listen to your wife 2 - A/B them 3 - Thank your wife 4 - Stick around here and discover why people like live music and be among some great people who are eager to help The Bose will surround the ears with sound, make the room full of sound. Unless they're blown, the KG4 will have detailed sound that is appealing / peasant. For me: As I got older, I didn't notice that I couldn't see the details of my fingerprints like I used to... until I tried reading glasses Until I scored some Klipsch speakers and a SS amp, I didn't notice the sound I was missing Free bump for some of the better matching veneer with striking attractiveness.
  4. Oh, you just gotta love it..... "Tweeter? What's that? Isn't that some kind of bird?" Jim, that's a quote the sellers stated, not something that I said. But, I agree: Most people wouldn't notice. Didn't you notice that they used to be $3k, but are now $6000..... and that they were in a fire? It would match the pair that you have
  5. This really should go in Alerts. Or both places
  6. Link This 60-yr-old loudspeaker kicks better than modern subwoofers. I have owned it for 40 years. They're around $6000 new. This one was in a fire but survived. I sanded and painted it. The tweeter is missing but I don't think most people would notice. The bass is a folded horn that uses the corner of a room as an extension of the horn. Takes only a few watts to drive it. Made in Hope, Arkansas, America. 1. front 2. detail of midrange horn and crossover. 3. midrange horn They used to be $3000, Now $6000 each. 10. And the $120 for shipping didn't help.
  11. Someone got a good deal. Can't believe that people would ruin furniture like that.
  12. Soon you'll be asking friends to store the scores you keep getting, my friend.
  13. Someone might pay that much, but not if they know what they're are.
  14. Welcome to the forum tristar. What value do you put on them? We all really hope they're in mint shape. Although they might have a high value, someone willing to pay it is not easy. GLWS.
