  1. Just looking to see if I could find a single to replace an Academy.
  2. I know of a pair in Oak that I can get shipped to you for somewhere between $175-$200.
  3. Up for sale is an excellent NAD integrated amplifier that comes in the original box. The item is in excellent condition and performs as it should. It is used, but I do not see any scratches. It does come with the remote control too. This amplifier is highly underrated. When Stereophile tested the amplifier it produced 172 watts @ 8 ohms with both channels driven. Far outproducing its rated output of 120 watts. Here is a link to that review: http://www.stereophile.com/integratedamps/633/index.html#rgkFjVHgwDWz8XYD.97
  4. Up for sale are a pair of midranges for sale. I believe these came from the Synergy line and may have been a special order given these have a copper cone. They are 5.25" and are in excellent shape, both cosmetically and functionally.
  5. I'm parting out a Klipsch RC-25. I have everything but the midranges. Everything works! Cabinet - $30 Grill - $10 Tweeter - $15 Does not have the model number on the back, but it came out of this speaker so I assume it is K-137. It is a titanium dome. Crossover - $15
  6. I just picked up a really nice Fisher receiver and when playing with it today I realized that when playing in stereo the right channel plays at a much lower volume than the left. When I engage the mono button, both channels play at the same level. This is with every source and is isolated to the one channel. The unit is really clean with no scratchy controls. Does anyone know what may be causing this situation and a possible remedy? If not, I guess I will send it in for repair, but I was hoping I might be able to do the repair myself.
  7. These are 5.25" though. Must be from the SC-1. They also have the designation SV
  8. It looks like the mids were replaced with synergy mids, probably SC-1 or a reference surround mid like from RS-3. I've never seen Synergy cones in this color either. Not sure. So at this point, I'll sell them for whatever I can get.
  9. You may be right. I never noticed the dustcaps until you mentioned it. I'm going to pull these things and see what's going on. I purchased this off of Craigslist a couple of months ago.
  10. I have a super nice Harman Kardon 330C receiver in excellent condition. Everything works and it looks great. it is a beautiful vintage HK receiver from 1976/1977 .As you can see the unit is in excellent shape. It was tested and performs flawless. This receiver was rated at 20 watts per channel.
  11. This looks like a nice pair for a little more $ than normal https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/ele/5039497727.html
  12. Up for sale is a highly regarded CD player from the late 1980's. The unit is in great condition and is still in perfect working order.
  13. Up for sale is a used Klipsch RC-25 Center Channel. The unit is in good condition. The only blemish I see is the grill cloth has a hole on the side of the grill. Cannot be seen from the front. (As it turns out, these are not the original woofers. They are Klipsch, but likely from the synergy series)
  14. Harman has made some models in the 90's such as the Signature 2.0s that sound really good. Something else to consider are some of the large HT receivers they produced in the early 00's. AVR-7000, AVR-7200 and AVR-7300. I owned the 7300 for 4 or 5 years and it was the best sounding receiver I've owned and I've owned Denon 4800 and 5800, Yamaha RX-V1 and RX-Z1. I
  15. I owned a Marantz 2500 for a few months and i can say it was a monster. 250 x 2. I think it was the second most powerful receiver Marantz produced. I'm not sure how it would compare to the 1250 in other areas, but in shear power it would compare favorably.
  16. You've spent over half the sales price in upgrades. This is a great deal for someone.
  17. I read about this recently. Never had it
  18. Yes, afterwards. Really funny interpretation of the Japanese language
  19. Still hooked up in the office and can verify that they have excellent bass response for a bookshelf speaker.
  20. This is an integrated amplifier from the mid 80's by Kenwood. It is rated at 100 x 2. I've tested it out and discovered it is a very capable amp. I found it sold for $359 back in 1985. Everything works except for the front Aux Input. It appears a pair of RCA's was broken off in one of the channels. I might get around to looking into replacing them if I can get to them reasonably easy. Cosmetically, this unit is in excellent condition. I did a search on Ebay for previous sales and I found two in Germany that sold for $82.41 and 76.91, respectively.
