  1. Truth indeed. People can be delusional about what they wish they were but genes do not lie. Man or Woman like it or not. There was a time when the mentally ill received help but today they get scalpels, hormone therapy and preferential legal treatment. Pity the poor children who are told at the age of five by crazy parents that they can choose what sex they want to be!
  2. CNN CBS NBC ABC NPR? They still are. Chicago Jussie being the latest case. I learned all about how normal people are really oppresive cisgendered constructs there too.
  3. The 1132's are a matter of having extra drivers from some of my KPT-456 buys. So I have heard them in those two way systems. I was fortunate to get a set of 402's but no drivers. I see the two and four woofer 942's using these same drivers and the 402 so I figure if it is good enough for current Klipsch offerings it's good enough for me. So far after a week of use I see no reason to change to another driver for the 402. I am sure there are some better, isn't there always it seems, but this is good enough for me. Keep in mind they sound really nice on a passive MCM 1900 crossover hooked to the mid output so I am certain it will be much better when I get the xilica and bi-amp thing going. I read about 402's a number of times but had never heard any except at Cory's on his Jubes where they were very nice. When I took the mids and tweets off the MCM 1900 and put the 402 - 1132's on there instead the very first time I played them was a revelation. I had no idea how much better than any other horn lens they were.
  4. I think there needs to be a new type of xlr connectors. They must have the same number of male and female components and you are not allowed to categorize the polarity nor assign artificial man created names to them. They will be allowed to be what they want on any given day and whether it all works right does not matter as long as the xlr's can plug into each other some kind of way. The laws of electricity are a cisgendered construct and have no bearing on reality.
  5. Roy was in charge when the 942 was designed as a full range two way theater system. I think we know what he will say but why don't you send him a PM and find out? Editing this to be relevant to a two way system only. I have no idea if Roy would say three way over two way just that he did design this to be a two way and it works.
  6. I think I have read that somewhere to.
  7. Hmm are you LOOKING for buttery popcorn in a LARGE BAG or just a bucket full? I THINK you better stock UP IN ANY CASE!!
  8. I can believe the 1132 will work just fine for two way systems and it also happens to do so on the KPT-456's and no one complains about frequency cutoff with those. Frequency response up to 18khz for both systems and I doubt many on this forum can hear this high or higher. While I do not have the 1132's and the 402's dialed in yet with bi-amping and the xilica I can tell you it has the same apparent range as the MCM 1900 did when I had the OEM mids and tweets on top. The 402 has much more definition and presence though. I have guys tell me about the 1133 and to get the full range of sound I need a three way but my experience with the KPT456's and these 402's + 1132's satisfy me in every way.
  9. You have a very analytical mind and I figured you had tinkered with types of golf balls based on what you said. When you use the tape do you take out the cardboard roll on the inside or use it as is?
  10. I appreciate your faith in my abilities. I figure I am not smart enough to do all these things you do and would prefer to get your advice.
  11. How do you determine what colors of tape to use and how they should be placed? Does the durometer of the golf balls used affect audible transients? Should the same brand of golf ball be used for all supports or are there things to look for that might justify using one brand over another in certain locations?
  12. Rube Goldberg alive and well. WHERE DO all these wonderful IDEAS come from? I followed the OP's link to his SYSTEM and I must say it IS a VERY interesting read.
  13. Perhaps it is 200 hours of self assured solipsism. I don't get it either how things like Beeswax Impregnated fuses find buyers at $250 a pop "on sale". Audiogon is a source of amusement and apparently where the crazies go to purchase bragging rights.

  16. Golly OD there you go again. Who brought up Pro speakers this time other than you? Hey you like Monty Python don't you? This is just as good as "I'm a Lumberjack" and the "Ministry of Silly Walks". Remember to keep it in perspective and enjoy.
  17. Does shooting golf balls with a potato gun count?
  18. Your answers keep getting longer and longer and somewhat defensive. That reminds me of a question I have for you. I was wondering why you used ODS123 for your handle and not MDF123?
  19. Some time ago I mentioned the improvement in audio output from my workstation PC when I downloaded the Realtek high definition audio driver. I also have a Dell precision laptop which I am in the process of upgrading and updating for the pilgrimage. By the way the xilica I am going to use for my new setup works just fine with the 1/8" audio jack out from both the desktop and laptop. 1/8" split to two xlr's and you are good to go with no preamp. Anyway I played with the stock driver on the laptop and it was surely a reminder of how poor it is. Downloaded the Realtek driver update and now output is claimed to go as high as 24 bit 192 k just like the desktop claims. I don't have any way to verify that but I can say that the output is just as good as the desktop now. If you run off a PC go find the hi def upgrade and do it. I am just a two channel guy but apparently this driver will do multichannel too.
  20. How do you determine polarity? Where are you sourcing coils?
  21. If you guys get some of this material give some feedback on it please. Chris I see you read this post. Question for you is where do you go for good music? I know you have a ton of CD's but how do you determine which to buy or is it a crap shoot and you just take a chance and throw out the bad ones?
  22. OK I don't mean to go all grammar cop on you but you did teach me to do this. "What do you mean defecting?" should have been deflecting right? Not angry at all and I am entertained by you. 🤣 Hows this for brevity and clarity?
  23. So we are back to deflection again? And of course you are still right and I am wrong . See part 3 of my comment that got you riled. "OP is right you are wrong" is the quote you are looking for. OK see the next quote. So how do you tie your comment into what I said? THANKS you helped start my day off with a smile once again.
